Harry and Josh review the latest watches unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2024, weighing in on releases from Rolex, Patek Philippe, Cartier, Tudor and Vacheron.
Starting off with the much loved Cartier Santos, where Cartier has introduced a new brown sunray dial for 24 and it is sure to divide opinions. In addition to the new dial colourway, there is a new two tone Santos, with a yellow gold bezel and decorative bracelet screws. Taking it one step further for the Santos range. Cartier is going bold with an all gold piece with both brushed and polished finishing, completing the look with the new brown sunray dial. Already a popular range, these new additions are sure to give the Santos fans something new to boost their collections.
Rolex may have made some controversial moves this year, with the discontinuation of the famed Motif dial on the Datejust and the Yacht-Master II range as a whole. But out with the old and in with the new full steel GMT-Master II black and grey ceramic bezel. Rolex have added the green accent colour on the GMT hand to an otherwise monochrome watch. Focussing more on the higher end and more expensive pieces. Rolex have been busy, going ombré with the Day-Date, adding more diamonds to the Daytona and full gold jubilee bracelets for the Sky-Dweller range. And then we came to the elephant in the room, the one nobody was expecting: The full gold Deepsea, with the blue ceramic bezel and blue dial.
With Rolex focusing on those higher end pieces, they have left the proverbial door open for the creative souls at Tudor to swoop in and grab some of the limelight. Without any updates on Rolex’s part to their Submariner range, Tudor have shown us their take on the matter. With the new Black Bay 41mm and its monochromatic colourway, in an all black dial and bezel combination. But then out of nowhere the hotly tipped and anticipated Coke bezel GMT did not come from Tudor's older sibling. It is, in fact, Tudor stealing the march with its burgundy and black bezel Black Bay 58 GMT. Tudor also added a full brushed gold watch to their Black Bay 58 range, hoping to capture the imagination of those who prefer the warmer tones on the wrist. Not forgetting about the ladies, Tudor has released the Clair de Rose. A smaller steel watch with a blue dial, available in roman numerals or diamond set.
Discussion moves onto Vacheron Constantin, in particular the new Overseas models. First up is the 5100 in pink gold and green dial with the date complication. Adding to the Overseas mix, VC has introduced the dual time and chronograph complications to the range. But not to be done short, Vacheron Constantin has unleashed a full titanium Overseas Tourbillon watch with the striking blue dial. Will we ever see one of these in the wild?
Finishing up Harry and Josh focus on some of the watches from Patek Philippe. Of the complications range, introduced this year is the annual calendar, in white gold with the leather strap. The Grand Complication in Platinum, plus one more in Rose Gold. In 2024 Patek Philippe decided to break the mould and give us the denim/leather strap option to some of their offerings. This includes the world time of the Complications collection, the Nautilus 5980 and the Aquanaut 5164G. Adding to the Aquanaut range a rose gold 5269R, a stunning blue/gray and rose gold combination. It wouldn’t be a complete Patek Philippe section without a diamond encrusted watch, this one, of course is the Aquanaut 5268. Covered in sapphires and diamonds. One is for the créme de la créme of Patek’s clients.

You should really address the redial watch you sold last week .Hard to trust your business now .
Which watch was that?
@@jonathanstamp Datejust blue motif with wrong hands .From video two weeks ago
No one cares mate
@@jonathanstamp Blue fluted motif dial (DJ41) with swapped dial and wrong hands (no lume that belongs only to Wimbledon and Azzurro blue). On the other side they had on the web platform suspicious DJ 41 azzurro blue smooth/oyster with wrong hands (lume) that belongs to the DJ from the video. Terrible story 🤯🤯
@@rja7069in other words: “please feel free to scam me whenever, mate”
@WATChtrader Can you please address the fact that in your previous video you were selling a DJ Blue Motif Fluted Bezel with the wrongs hands? The factory hands on the blue motif are lum filled whereas the hands on the watch your were selling were plain polished hands. You are losing credibility here by selling dial swapped watches
I don't think Rolex ever considers what the customers want. They just release what they want.
That last one is a beauty. Gives me serious old money vibes
I would have been curious about the dual time cartier santos
The Platinum 1908 is fire. Love it. Dress watches are coming back! I enjoyed this episode's format.
This is fantastic boys ! Keep it coming
Something caught Josh eye off camera 😂
Always fun to see these. Cheers boys
Best kind of vids, Harry is a class host in these!
looking forward to adding the Deepsea to my wrist.
Great change of pace for the channel!
Harry is the new STAR !
Brilliant chaps more of these please 😎👍🏻
Yup 2015 a steel Rolex Sub Date was £5,700. I was that soldier. Bought straight out of an AD window new. 4 grand Tudor version. Getting silly.
Fml ! Patek do U Boat lol, that Grand Comp is vile . Good stuff fellas , finding it hard to disagree with any of your hits or misses.
Very disappointing releases from Rolex this year imo, the one with all the diamonds is very tacky. Great video :)
Did You Pay for that Hair Cut !
Got to disagree with the Tudor, I don’t understand how they blew it out the park! Another snooze fest from Tudor - still they continuing pushing the fake rivets!!! Until the rivets have gone and they move away from the Black Bay, it’s just another brand
They made a bb58 gmt. Which means all you dwarves wrist can get those 37-39 mm watches in the future with a smaller watch. It’s a big deal, but a deal breaker for people that want a watch not a women’s watch.
Good stuff! Also I agree with pretty much all of the Rolex hit or misses. IMO nothing awful but also nothing amazing for Rolex.
The new black Tudor is a watch for new buyers so they can then dream about buying a submariner. Good move from Rolex. Tudor is just an entry point into the watch you really want and that is a Rolex.
. 99% of rolex owners seem to think that a mass produced overpriced rolex is the pinnacle of watch ownership.far from it Any modern tudor is superir to any single digit sub-fact.
Those Jeans Pateks are not beatiful to be honest. Really a miss to me.
No way the full gold Tudor will sell. For 27k you can buy a two year old full yellow gold Sub.
Please reply to why you were selling a watch with wrong hands in other video, if you missed it then ok
We have, you can read it on the original video with the original thread. Thank you
Rolex … a big miss
the diamond bezel on the Daytona's were rubbish.. its high time Rolex releases carbon fiber. i guess Diw beat them to it.
Platinum has to be ice blue … miss…. New platinum 1908 with the highest quality ice blue dial… miss. These two got any brain cells?
