i'd say that the biggest giveaway to discern kanata's imitation from the person she's imitating is that she hesitate too much, and that her flow of speech is not fluid enough, giving theses forced/unnatural vibes.
she gets found out because she focuses so hard on getting the voice right that she has no concentration left to know what to say anymore.... hence why all the "huh..." and awkward pauses gets her foind out in no time.
