Whenever life gets me down, I turn to anyone of your videos. Especially since I too, am a collector of U.S. philately. And to see these marvelous finds that you come up with is fantastic. Keep rockin it dude, as I look forward to your next installment.
Not a bad find for a whopping 21,- $. Of course in mixed condition, like in most of these old albums, but nonetheless with some better issues. Have a fantastic Christmas weekend ! 🎄 Greets from GER, U.
Nice stamps ! Re: mustiness..... have you tried putting album in a plastic box (like the storage ones), then putting a bunch of newspaper in there to (hopefully) soak up the odors... The two C3's look like the "Fast" airplane variety..... that album was a great buy ! Thanks for sharing with us. You and your family have a Merry Christmas !
Excellent work my friend!!! I think you were at your $21 investment when you hit the second “Black Jack”!!! Nice finds!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Merry Christmas and a happy holidays. Today i found only an EP cover from Italy of Connie Francis on MGM in Athens flea market. Issued in 1961.Unfortunately with an Danish EP in g+ condition. The cover was clean and great, looking now for the record.
I remember the thrill of receiving my packages of stamps by mail when I was a child. I think the thrill would be akin to an adult finding rarities. they were all rarities to me back in the 60s as a little boy.
I can imagine! I started collecting as an adult, and as you may see I get a thrill out of common stamps too sometimes... what I love most is the art and history, I do like finding rare collectibles too tho:)
Sure! These stamps were stuck into the book using stamp hinges, little strips of adhesive that are suppose to peal off easily but sometimes don't. Regardless, when you hinge a new stamp you damage the gum on the back... that's why collectors often prefer stamps that have never been hinged, but they're harder to find...
Love this! I always get the urge to shop after your videos. 😅 Question: these are obviously hinged. Will you soak the hinges off? Even for the unused stamps?
It is very unwise to soak hinges off of mint stamps! If the hinge is green (Dennison) it is usually quite peelable, if you get much resistance, just tear at the fold and leave it
Your albums are different than what I am doing, but I'd like to hear some thoughts from you. Mostly, i have been getting albums on eBay, like History, Presidents, States, Civil War commeratives, things like that. I am happy, and like them. But, no one on UA-cam seems to show any of them. There are a lot to choose from, and I think mostly priced cheap. I'm not looking for anything rare, just interesting stamps and presentations.
❤ But of course there were no Columbians…. The cover tells you it contained only REGULAR issues. Minkus published separate albums for commemorative stamps. Young collectors these days wouldn’t know this as Minkus albums fell out of favor and are no longer sold. Congratulations though. Well done!,,,🎉
This one I got on Ebay... take a look at my how to buy great stamps off ebay vid for the trick I use... I also check out a couple of local shop and auction sites regularly

Merry Christmas to you too! And thanks for the offer... I'd be happy to trade if you'd like, there's an address in the description of the video. Just let me know what you collect

Grill checking time
Beautiful find. You mentioned something about hinged but I didn't quite get the meaning. Can you clarify? Thanks.

sorry for all the damaged and off center stamps but good space fillers

Got really lucky... the hinges came off super easy without soaking!

Do you soak the old hinges off before you add to your davo?
Don't forget to add sales tax and shipping cost, at least another $15.00; but still a good find.

It's a double error Jenny! Both the frame and picture both inverted. lol
This was some find ; lots of scarce old issues

@@silkontheweb I did and also worked. Bought my first albums by Ebay this week. Can't wait to see them.
Is the album a bit foxed.? Hope that doesn't extend to the stamps!!
