165hz qhd is better suited for most tasks than a 240hz or 360hz panel, as most builds will suffer to reach 200+ FPS in most games even at 1080p. Go for the 165hz qhd with better colors and sharpness anyday!! Unless you're an eSports gamer who wants the quickest screen
I absolutely LOVE my M16, but I'm having the same sleep issue with the heat. It has made me afraid to put it in a sleeve without shutting it completely down.
Mine also feels warm even when (supposedly) asleep. It’s scary sometimes to put it inside the bag and carry to wherever, as it can be toasting inside. I also hear coil whine when I put my ears in the fan vents while I put the laptop to sleep. So, it seems to be running still in the background, like a sleepwalker (plugged in or using the batter). Also, when awaken from sleep, it won’t get back to Windows desktop but instead just the mouse pointer floating in the black screen. When this happens, which is quite often, I usually force shutdown it or try Alt-F4 plus Enter to try to shut it down properly. The laptop is excellent when it comes to performance and it can even handle three external monitors (four in total including the internal display). It’s a bummer it still has some quirks and problems noting that it is expensive. I paid 139,995 with mine.
I do not recommend it. I've bought a top of the line M16 and it turned out that a few keys are bend. I've taken it to the store and after a month they offer a replacement (if available and IT'S NOT AVAILABLE ANYWHERE!) or a refund which sucks as well as I'll not get a Black Friday price. That's the premium customer service you get...
Naka score ako neto sa Best Buy during black Friday sale for just around 75k for the base model 1intel i7 16GB RTX3050. Currently the same model that you have is also on sale at around 84k. Also I experience the same thing when putting the machine to sleep. you can still hear the fans working
Hey, I just got this laptop a couplle of weeks ago....It's perfectly fine but I am scared of the thermals it's showing while I'm playing some games like Apex legends and Warzone. It's hitting up 85-90, but I'm facing no issues in performance though....should I undervolt or try changing the thermal paste ? pls help me out
I have this laptop too (i9 and 3060). Also i believe it is normal for laptops to reach 80ish degrees but no higher than 90 (intel supports up to 91, amd up to 85 i believe). Undervolting may increase game performance due to lower temperatures. You can try it out and see how it goes and change back when you want to.
I had to return my m16 I left it on standby mode and put it in my backpack When I got to my next class it had overheated and got heat damage in the screen But I can confirm it’s a great computer other that that over heating issue I ended up returning it and getting a g14
Got the 2022 M16 with 3070ti, and had it go against my desktop with a Ryzen 9 3900x and this laptop holds up. Crazy how this thing performs . SULIT for Architecture students and also those who works a lot sa 3D softwares
I want to buy a laptop but my budget is not very high. Between the Asus M16 and the Aorus 15p, which one do you recommend? Their specifications are very similar. If you have another option for me, leave it in the comments pls.
In Malaysia same specs M16 cost $2,600 only had mouse / backpack. I had to buy zephyrus duo se as now got offer $2000 with specs Ryzen9 + Rtx 3070 + delta headset/bag/mouse/charger usb. I do also play genshin Impact using dualsense 5 🔥

The standby problem is a windows defect rather than asus' problem.
Personally I think the old 2020 model frame looks cleaner

Swap the Intel out for a Ryzen 6900.. No question, I'd pay straight up for it. Almost perfect.

The OS only puts the laptop SSD but the rest still works. Some hefty computers may get warm and that is absolutely normal.
