Just looked this accident up to see the outcome. The driver was phucked-up on PCP, per the hospital blood draw. 3 vials were found in the wreckage; 2 empty, 1 containing PCP. Driver & passenger survived, barely. The driver was arrested on multiple charges over a year later, including “intent to deliver” the drug. He was released on $200,000 bail. As far as I could tell, this case still hasn’t been fully adjudicated as of this writing, November 2019.
When I was an ER nurse, we had a patient brought in where her car had left the interstate and gone into the trees. Split the car in half. She didn't even have cuts. Treated and released. She was going on about how she hated that car. I had the same type of car. I told her that car saved her life as it had a roll bar like race cars have. Small car versus huge pine trees. Some times you just want to reach out and touch someone.

The end condition of those vehicles& MY GOD!! Thank you to the emergency response teams to be able to be able to work past that in order to hopefully save a life.
What happened to the other 2 passengers that were in the back seat? They said they didn't find them. That doesn't look like something you could just get up and walk away from....
I wonder what they were on, I read the article and it said both occupants said there were 4 people in the car at the time of the collision. After an extensive search no other occupants were found.
If that were my kid no matter how old, I would hope that he/she would pull through just so I could kick them right in the ASS AND CALL MY CHILD AN IDIOT.
And after reading the article, it says they were in a Chevy Malibu, that car is front wheel drive, with a 6cyl. Wow! It's a shame about those sweet 22's. 😂😂😂😂
WTF!! Last few sentences of the news article linked in the description says "Both occupants of the car were transported to the trauma center. Their condition unknown. No other occupants were located in the search. The road remained closed for most part of the morning while North Catasauqua Police investigated." So someone woke up to a dead person in their backyard or were these two so fucked up they thought their car was full of people???
Great job guys! Everyone was professional! Was I mistaken, but wasn't it reported that the driver said there were 4 passengers in the vehicle? If so there was no recuse shown of the back passengers. RIP if that's the case. Hope all recover, but no more driving. Driving is a privilege, not a right. So glad no one else was involved and that the car didn't continue into the person's home! Again, thank you 1 st responders and law officers!
If they never found the other two bodies, I'm left with two possible scenarios. 1) There was no third and fourth passenger, the driver gave a statement while he was delirious and only *thought* he had two other people with him, or 2) the other two, and therefore all four, survived that ridiculous-ass wreck and fled the scene because they had something on them that they shouldn't have. I can't think of any other possibilities as I am certain they searched the absolute fuck out of the immediate surrounding area. Either way, that driver and passenger are lucky as FUCK.
Blackmon Farms , I think that must have been a different accident since this accident clearly only had two victims. Police can hear other calls though, while on any given scene
Much respect for the men and women who have to see and clean up messes like this,I don't think I'd ever sleep well again. His speed my lord, how fast was he going?!!
True, but this might actually be easier than cleaning up a scene where someone was seriously hurt or dead. Despite the apparatus, I'd always feel a bit less anxious knowing the person's alive. I wonder how hard it is to clean blood from a scene where you know someone died.
Not all but many 1st responders have ptsd and unfortunately commit suicide for to often, however, mental groups are taking more proactive measures and its working to help our 1st responders deal with the negative shit they deal with everyday. I've always said 1st responders, school teachers, soldiers etc., basically anyone on the front lines putting there life on the lines for mine and your well being should be the ones signing the contracts that earn them millions upon millions of dollars. Yes now in an era of school shootings teachers unfortunately are considered front line as they too don't know if someone is going to go on a spree. Their parents also would have suffered greatly at their demise. Hopefully they pay big for what's they did. I dont think the crash will teach them anything whatsoever.
mmtallm All too often that is exactly right. 😢 Unfortunately sometimes an innocent person or persons looses their life as result of the intoxicated driver.
Type of crash where vehicle is in pieces, hard to examine how the destruction happened. Thanks to link: High speed, vehicle airborne, Crashing into tree. Amazing 2 men survived crash. Fortunate no one in back seats.
It's just amazing how all the emergency services become as one, working as a big team. Was that a 25MPH speed limit? if it was, that's the worst damage I've ever seen at that speed.
My sister was in an accident like this. The back of the car wrapped around the pole, killing our friend. It threw my sister 200 feet where a cypress knee went through her. She was in a coma for 3 months. The driver got away with a slap on the wrist and this was the 2nd time he killed people. Praying they were really wrong about 2 more people and don't find them months from now. It happens!!
it kind of boggles my mind that these engines do not have built in compressors loaded at all times... If this person was in critical condition and in immediate need of medical attention that this process would of taken too long.
some trucks do have on-board hydraulic power units but sometimes its easier to grab a portable unit and work off of that, especially in difficult to reach areas. that being said, extrication can only go so fast. there are different tactics for different situations. in the case of a critical patient we are going to make the least amount of cuts possible to get the job done. with modern vehicles we need to be mindful of all the airbags and must locate them before we cut as they can be a danger to us and the patient. also, the car has to be stabilized prior to cutting not only for safety but also to help with some operations, for example, dash rolls/lifts. when you first get on scene you have to do what is called scene size up, which is looking for hazards and other conditions (usually the officer does this). its not just roll up on scene and start cutting. :)
Don't get me wrong because I totally agree with having fully portable systems, but a cutter pre connected to a 100' reel would have had that patient(both for that matter) out of there in half the amount of time that took. Also eliminates the need to carry a heavy power unit, then piece together the entire system. The patient clearly wasn't too critical considering the lack of medical attention they were receiving during the extrication. If the true goal of the fire department is to remove the patient as soon as possible, the whole back of that passenger compartment was wide open. Cut the seat backs lay them onto a backboard and slide them out. They'd be out and in the ambulance in under ten minutes. I understand everyone has their SOGs and we all operate differently but extrication is typically a time driven event. As mentioned, we try to make the least amount of cuts necessary to speed up the process. This is the second Northhampton video I've watched where there is entirely too much time spent trying to remove doors with spreaders.
Look how many professionals it requires to help in this case, one person . The cost must be astronomical . Judging by the wreakage this person was notdriving the speed limit . This type of behaviour is disgusting when you consider , Police, Fire and Paramedics may be in need for actual emergencies . I feel the same with a large rescue operation to retrieve a climber on a mountain top . Leave these idiots wherever they are .
Moved back down south from PA couple months ago. The speeding and ignorance I saw with the driving convinced me to let my husband drive anytime we got in the car.
You MUST always stay alert and watch in all four directions when you’re driving, as well as, sitting at a stop sign and/or a stop light‼️‼️ You not only drive for yourself, but for everyone else around you. PLASE drive safely!! Don’t drive like an idiot speeding, running stop signs and/stop lights, and DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE‼️‼️💓💓💕💕❤️❤️
I was thinking if those EMT's find 2 more people in that Sardine Can, I will fall out of my Chair, especially if it's in the back piece! As it was it was nothing short of a Miracle those 2 men were still alive!
Oh my god, our emergency service personnel are very strong people to deal with this sort of scenario. This was maybe more tame than a family lost scene. Idiot drivers, WHY DO YOU TAKE THE RISK, YOU MAY NOT VALUE YOUR LIFE, THINK ABOUT THE KIDS, MUMS, DADS, BABYS, GRAND PARENTS/ everyone else. A moment of stupidity can lead to a lifetime of pain for a lot of people.
Yeah take a car back when your mom and your grandmother had one . you get into a crash next day you driving it to the body shop. Nowadays they cut corners and make things so cheap this is why it's so easy to smash something like this up
@@africacarey LOL not quite. Back then, the car got driven to the body shop, but you spent weeks in the hospital recovering (if you're lucky). Same accident now, the car is totalled and you walk away. Physics don't change. There is a certain amount of energy to be absorbed, and the more that the vehicle absorbs it by crumpling, the less of it reaches your body.

I call it learning the hard way!!!!!!!!!
I call it getting what you ask for.
@Bob BURRILL ding ding ding! You are correct! lol good catch! I was so into reading his comment so I didn't catch it and it's my favorite movie, know it word for word.
Very well stated...
Yes! Sadly you can't fix stupid. 😥
Guarantee you he wasn't going 25mph.....
Gravity grabbed the car and THREW IT?
I went to google earth to spot the crash site, the pole he hit was almost houses away, he had to been going 60+
I’m noticing a pattern in which the modern cars are splitting apart typically in the rear at the quarter panels .
I've of accidents like this happening but i never seen it. I was in an accident recently and i now know how blessed i am to be walking around. Other than my slipped disc im fine. I praye for there families
Did anyone take notice to the 25 mile an hour speed limit sign? I don’t think he was doing that, and I sure hope he learned his lesson.
I'm shocked that anyone could even survive the impact. Holy good God.
Great work from our fireman they are true heroes 🙏🏻
Félicitations à tous les services de secours, vous faites tous un travail formidable quel que soit le pays, merci.
The end condition of those vehicles& MY GOD!! Thank you to the emergency response teams to be able to be able to work past that in order to hopefully save a life.
There was only one vehicle split in two. Every parents worse nightmare.
Ya that was 1 car... split into half! Front half had the driver and passenger, back seat half was empty.
What happened to the other 2 passengers that were in the back seat? They said they didn't find them. That doesn't look like something you could just get up and walk away from....
When I went to school in Hooterville Kentucky USA they used to show us some old films of horrible wrecks and DEAD bodies gore and all!!!!!!!!!!
Here in Fl too you had to see it before you got your license I wish they would bring it back
Johnny Hawkins I am 76 years old and still see those pics from high school in my mind of those two dead children uncovered on the road....
That’s sad I literally live in Northampton and there’s till people who go so fast
Your camera takes really clear footage. 👍🏼
I bet it's tough looking out of your windows and seeing the other half of your car.
Right! Id be like TF??
I wonder what they were on, I read the article and it said both occupants said there were 4 people in the car at the time of the collision. After an extensive search no other occupants were found.
He had to have been hauling ass to do THAT much damage! Damn lucky to be alive!
@@ggroff73,any word on the backseat passengers?
WTF!! Last few sentences of the news article linked in the description says
"Both occupants of the car were transported to the trauma center. Their condition unknown. No other occupants were located in the search.
The road remained closed for most part of the morning while North Catasauqua Police investigated."
So someone woke up to a dead person in their backyard or were these two so fucked up they thought their car was full of people???
They were on PCP supposedly.
Großartige Hilfe! Gut das es euch gibt.👍👍👍👍👍
I guess they were driving very carefully and respectful, obeying all traffic laws. So what went wrong?
If they never found the other two bodies, I'm left with two possible scenarios. 1) There was no third and fourth passenger, the driver gave a statement while he was delirious and only *thought* he had two other people with him, or 2) the other two, and therefore all four, survived that ridiculous-ass wreck and fled the scene because they had something on them that they shouldn't have. I can't think of any other possibilities as I am certain they searched the absolute fuck out of the immediate surrounding area. Either way, that driver and passenger are lucky as FUCK.
I know the first responders must really want to say something about the person's speed...
Ugh...I would have to bite my tongue!!!!
I would be concerned that there are additional victims that were ejected from the veh. In a violent collision like this bodies can fly pretty far.
You said it!
Sonic 7 There were only two males both in the front. They did a huge search for others but there were none.
Sounded like the dispatcher said there were 4 passengers
At 2:36
Blackmon Farms , I think that must have been a different accident since this accident clearly only had two victims.
Here is a link to a UA-cam video that relates to fire/ems ptsd that I watched the other night.
It was a really great video.
Enjoy.
O' ,make sure you are sitting down when in the video, they give deaths by suicide and on job accident death in there line of work is.💪🇺🇸

So glad to see the driver moving...
Give all the first Responders tell them how much we appreciate them. We do everytime we see them
Sign at 12:12 said Don Not Pass....Well,he didnt pass it he smashed it !!!!!
First responders rock hell of a tough job
yes and yet they don't make no where near a damn foot ball players salary!
Love the bass system stuck on the street sign post
Their lucky their car did not catch on fire and they didnt burn alive. These guys endangered nit onlt their lives but the lives of other fir their foolishness. Their parents also would have suffered greatly at their demise. Hopefully they pay big for what's they did. I dont think the crash will teach them anything whatsoever.
Will do same thing next week and kill worth while humans.
How in the hell is that driver still alive?!!!
Alcohol relaxes the body, that's why in fatal DUI accidents, the DUI driver usually survives with minimal injuries
mmtallm All too often that is exactly right. 😢 Unfortunately sometimes an innocent person or persons looses their life as result of the intoxicated driver.
God
He wore his seatbelt! They really do save lives.
In AA we know that "God watches over fools and drunks.", we were once both.
GOAL!!!!!!! He landed that subwoofer perfectly on the street sign.
This could have been titled: "Inches from Death"- And been extremely accurate.
Anyone else notice at 2:30 that the dispatcher relayed that the drive said there were 4 people in the car?
Yep I also heard them say driver was incoherent
Type of crash where vehicle is in pieces, hard to examine how the destruction happened. Thanks to link: High speed, vehicle airborne, Crashing into tree. Amazing 2 men survived crash. Fortunate no one in back seats.
All I can keep saying is holy shit! Nothing on TV has made me say that over and over again! I have never seen a car like that. Holyshit!
Wow, incredible he lived to be extricated .. wonder what kind of car he was in? I want THAT car. Well protected to live thru that!
It was an 06-08 Chevy Malibu
It's just amazing how all the emergency services become as one, working as a big team. Was that a 25MPH speed limit? if it was, that's the worst damage I've ever seen at that speed.
Wow, that looks like a pile of metal. Shocking someone survived that crash.
Total miracle that anyone survived that!!
What is the make/model of the half car? I want one. Like Tiger Woods’ car. Made me want to buy a Genesis SUV….
@@evansgranny1that was an 06-08 Chevy Malibu
Going too damn fast in a 25mph zone!
I've seen only a handful of vehicles close to unrecognizable as one. Even being somewhat desensitized This one Just blew my mind
Firefighters don't get paid enough for all the work they do. God bless them all
None of the firefighters you see here are paid, all volunteers too
it kind of boggles my mind that these engines do not have built in compressors loaded at all times...
They now have battery powered jaws.
A good body shop should be able to pound out those dents.
What about the rest of the car
😂 Uh oh, better get Macco. 🤪😜😂
Lol
Until they went to cutting on it 🙄
Day in day out these guys have to deal with this carnage. You can only thank them for it.
Dam dude gotta be going 100 mph hitting that pole SMH
Speed limit sign @ 9:15 in, they must have been doing 5 times more than that with what damage has been done.
The sign said 25 mph
Why no neck brace prior to extraction & a protective cloth to prevent any shrapnel from Hearst tools?
Dude, Where's The Other Half Of My Car ?
Or, Wait a second, that's supposed to be behind me *points at rear end of car*
It's at the BMW garage waiting for the other half to arrive.
The bodies of the other two individuals were found in Florida.
I saw them
It’s hard to believe those two were even alive. What 80 - 90 mph? I don’t think that will just buff out.
These firemen 👨🏻🚒didn't get paid enough. God bless them 🙏❤️
How weird it would it would be to look out the front of your car and see the back ahead of you.
Moved back down south from PA couple months ago. The speeding and ignorance I saw with the driving convinced me to let my husband drive anytime we got in the car.
What the heck was that girl doing to cause an accident of this magnitude? She's very lucky to have survived this. I hope the passenger lives as well.
Looking at the vehicle it's amazing that person survived!
Just wait and see how many they get out from the other half of the car!!
I wonder if speed was a factor? It seems that all these extraction videos I watch the cars were going way to fast.
Seeing more and more videos of cars/suvs split in half these days...has to be the way they are made now.????
Happened in Tampa this weekend
Yeah take a car back when your mom and your grandmother had one . you get into a crash next day you driving it to the body shop.
Nowadays they cut corners and make things so cheap this is why it's so easy to smash something like this up
@@africacarey LOL not quite.
Back then, the car got driven to the body shop, but you spent weeks in the hospital recovering (if you're lucky).
Same accident now, the car is totalled and you walk away.
Physics don't change. There is a certain amount of energy to be absorbed, and the more that the vehicle absorbs it by crumpling, the less of it reaches your body.
@@africacarey the NHTSA says cars are twice as safe nowadays compared to the late 1950s. Seatbelts, airbags, padded dashboards, crumple zones, anti-lock brakes, etc.
Oh Lord I come to you for this prayer isn't for me it's for all the victims in this wreck & for everyone of the fire departments may you be with each & everyone you this shouldn't of happen oh Lord I know that your a busy man but I also know that you love all your children I ask you please reach down and touch each of them & let them all know that your right there with & for them in your loving name amne🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
How fast do you have to be going to do this kind of damage and it looks like a residential neighborhood .
That dispatcher sounded like she was 12
Damn how fast was this car going ? Hope everyone is ok
Someone didn't make it
stop except for right turn? seems unusual, how does this type of intersection work?
Jesus, those two guys are lucky! They survived the impact plus the car breaking apart. 🚘 🚗
Why on earth did the 2 guys in the car say there was 4 people, no others were found!!!
