I had two Crux 35s over the last year or so. Give it a V3 with removable arms and I genuinely don't think I'd fly much more than that. After shattering too many bottom plates, I stuffed the components from them into Tiny Trainer v2 frames and rock those. The motors are about 1000kv under powered for the TTv2 spec, but they run quite well!
I also have it for like 1 year and I love it. Btw I paid it 115$. Now you can find it for around 135$. In my honest oppinion that is the best value for the money. It might not carry Gopro, but it carries ThumbPro with no problem! (16g). My very first flight with it was first flight after whoop, so I was super scared and cautious so it lasted for like 19 mins. Amazing! Now I have ThumbPro mounted, I put heavier camera (Predator 5) an I also fly much faster, but it can still carry 7-8-rips or aroun 10min cruise. Amazing quad! high recommendation!
Yes, lol. I was doing some research on the motors, and they seem to be the most efficient 1404 motors on the market. And pard with the 3.5 inch proper relay explains the efficiency.
Great video! It reminded me of the fun I was having just learning FPV a year ago. This makes me really want to rebuild my Crux35 just as a cruiser. I had one a few months ago but I was doing some pretty hard flying and ended up getting tired of replacing bottom plates and motors. I found that 3.5" quads with 1404 sized motors are generally pretty efficient but I couldn't get anything to fly as long as this one. If I wasn't so focused on racing I might go and actually do some chill flying. Cheers!
@@Kevin.L_ for sure they are both so close that its hard to pick😅😅i ended up going with the baby ape and it feels great so far, already upgraded to the runcam phoenix 2
The crux35 is probably the BNF with the biggest bang for your buck... it was definitely the most surprising FPV quad I've flown in the past year!

Around that house you are at looks like a really cool place to fly. You could do some LR right out your door. Love it!
Yes, I love it for radio reasons, and with the o3 air unit, I can go 4 miles up the mountain from the windows.

Thanks for the long term update. I'm thinking of this as my second quad and step up from a whoop
Sounds like a good option, thanks for the comment
i would recommend the baby ape 2 over this, its a little heavier, flies better imo, and has more range bc of the 600mw vtx.
@@strykerfpv Probably get both eventually. Got the Crux ordered already but I like the Baby Ape 2.

@@strykerfpv I know the Crux frame is weak and will likely put it into another frame when it breaks.
1 year in the title you said 6 months.
Great Review, awesome flying!
Good on ya bro first time ive seen your vids, keep it going ya never know where you eill end up😅😅😅😅
what goggles are u using?? nice vid this is going to be my first drone
im also planning on puting a runcam thumb pro on it for cinematic and freestyle recording
I agree with your video, except for the camera. The Caddx Ant sucks. For the rest, the drone is great. I would go digital video if you can afford it.
try dogcom ucell 650mAh 4s on it
its great and if you break the frame get a dicsus frame as replacement its great upgrade for the crux
Goood loooks thats exactly what imma do
