Great video! I wish I could fly half as good as this. I see your vtx has a sort of persistent noise at all distances - this has been corrected for the final release. I tested the fix myself
got mine, had a bad motor wire (pin in plug), flew it as it came. rates felt fine, flew clean, tune looks aggressive in betaflight but had no issues and enjoyed it immensely. enough so, my D-8 whoops will be handed down. I was a little concerned about the elrs antenna being real close to the camera power pad. placed a dab of E6000 on it to keep it from possibly contacting each other in a crash.
Nice one yet again, I love the honesty in your reviews, so much easier to make a decision if I should buy it or not. And this one took a tiny bit of my bank account 😂
I like that canopy. I use the BetaFPV Micro Air (same same), and yes to big headed screws, and I also found that if before you install one, you get them hot enough to be pliable, then install it, it takes a lot of the "tightness" off of it that pulls on the posts. It also helps keep it from cracking at the weak points.
@@InfinityLoops I have a pellet stove, and just put one on top for 5 mins and its nice and soft. Goes on easy. Let it sit a while and cool, then put camera in.
Great review Heads! Love your freestyles idk how you do your tricks so slowly and in control. FYI - I had them turn the eco vtx like that because the way it cam to me the way you showed in the picture and the mount crushes the update port in that setup.
I think they did a great job on this one!!! good move from hdzero with that new vtx! Great image and great tune out of the box and that for 150.....I want one! O and PLEASE HappyModel A 75 freestyle ; ) edition. And that was some awesome freestyle with a 65....i saw some new moves too nice!
crazy to see HD products finally starting to be more affordable. Though still a little heavy for a 65, I'd say this is a good start to HD for anyone who wants to give HD zero a try. Wonder if they have plans for a 75. Great review as always my guy - and that intro 😂
BIG OBSTACLE! The nearly $800 to get their goggles - $600 goggles + antennas + Battery for goggles + analog adapter, etc.The most expensive goggles EVER! Not worth it for the TINY BIT OF IMPROVEMENT in video quality over plain ole analog! And the VRX has over double the latency.
@@KOrnhOliO1not worth it for you, doesn't mean i can be worth it for others. sure, the goggles cos much but i will never go back to analog/dji after buying them, they are amazing
I bought BNF HDZERO Mobula 6 ECO and Mobula 6 Freestyle and I also use Radiomaster Pocket. I managed to update all of them to newest ELRS and setup binding phrase. Both Whoops bind and respond to all inputs when connected to Betaflight but then I unplug it I am having issues. Mobula 6 Freestyle HDZero does not arm at all. I guered it out that this whoop is SPI and does not have wifi. Mobula 6 ECO HDZero jumps when I push arm but nothing after that. This one strangelly UART and have WIFI.
Very good review like always. Got few questions. Does it record dvr on board? Saw some tiny whoop several days ago with some HD, but the guy was using EV800 goggles with it. Was wondering how those magic work... to use and record HD with one of the most budget goggles. You said you don't like those 65mm... you prefer 75 or may be some other? (not considering 5" quads) Another question is not for this specific drone. For indoor fly those 65mm is it good to cut throttle or do some other changes to fly "easier","calmer" for beginner( the apartment feels way smaller than it is when fly). Thank you for your opinion!
Recording onboard HD video has been around for whoops for a few years. I had a BetaFPV meteor65HD a while ago, SD card records from the VTX onboard. This whoop sends the HD signal back to my goggles (HDZero Goggles) and I record the DVR from those. This would be the lighter option for a tinywhoop. The onboard recording whoops carry a lot of weight usually. I don't like 65mm whoops very much anymore, I used to only fly them. Now i prefer a 75mm whoop. Indoor and outdoor I feel like I have more control and power. For indoor flying with a 65mm you can try a few things to help with control until you get used to it. First would be angle mode, nothing wrong with using this to get adjusted to the smaller flying space. Another thing to try is make sure your camera angle is as low as you can get it. This will help you see forward without having to tilt the drone causing fast forward movement. Lastly, go slow, the best way to learn this stuff is to slowly figure it out. Deep breath, slow flight. You got this!
@@InfinityLoops Another question off topic if please: I got Firefly 1.6DC and a friend plugged battery for a second reversed polarity. Slight smoke appeared. Then one of the motors start slight shake, but no spin, then another motor did the same. In ESC-configurator when I give more power(where you test motors and directions) they did spin(I guess motors are fine), but then they didn't spin anymore, but show some life. I tried to reflash the firmware - didn't help. (by the way what is best option for firmware to flash on this drone, cuz there are many options?). The other motors spin fine and react properly to throttle, VTX and controller RX are working fine. Would it be ESC burned out? Or maybe something else? What would be steps to fix it? Could you give me some suggestions pls? Please help me get in the air. Thanks! Also looking forward to catch your stream one day, so hard with time-zone difference.
Nice, Amazing ECO, also waiting for the 75mm version. What did you think about the image quality? It feels that there is a lower image quality on this one from youtube, can you tell that from the goggles?
Personally, I'd suggest a folded cell 300mah 1s lipo with a bt2.0 or a30 plug. You can find these at places like Tinywhoop, weBLEEDfpv, tattu, i think also the new Lava betaFPV batteries as well. Keep it light!
This is a good question and it kind of depends on the plan for the whoop. The 28000kv on there now with a decent tune/filter setup should be OK for freestyle or just zipping around the house. But I find the lack of throttle resolution in the lower half to be annoying to control for low altitude maneuvering. Like sliding under my truck was much easier on lower kv. The 28kkv are a bit bouncy on the low end. Really I think the best option (for me) would be to swap to 0802/40mm props and a 75mm frame. This would be a beauty!
i have dji and analog drones and i want to get into HD for micros...what do you think is the best move, walksnail, or hdzero? the dji air units just arent small enough
Sorry for the late response, i was driving home from NY. For video image quality, I personally would use walksnail. However, I believe they have a bit more delay (latency) than HDZERO. The price of the HDZ goggles is expensive, and the vrx latency for walksnail was horrible for me. For fast freestyle stuff, go hdzero. Initial price is steep (for goggles mainly). But you can't beat the latency, and that was CRUCIAL for fast freestyle flying. The new ECO vtx/cam combo is cheap! $69.99 For cinematic or slow cruising type flying, I would say walksnail. Very pretty picture. Good looking dvr for a whoop! As long as I was doing moderate to slow paced flying, walksnail felt fine on the latency. Hope this helps, bro 🙏
@@InfinityLoops thanks for the advice! I'll go with hdzero...like you said, if walksnail has latency, I'd like to avoid that haha. What's your thoughts on the fatshark recon HD box goggles...I beleive theyre only like 280 and the dominator are 380 or something like that...are the recon HD's compatible with the new hdzero micro vtx systems?
@@InfinityLoops also, I have the flywoo nano v2 1s with elrs and a couple other new micros that I haven't been able to fly since I got them like 6+ months ago because I can't figure out how to download and use the elrs stuff onto my laptop in order to update and bind them. Would you be willing to help me out with that if I came to you and paid you for your time? I just need help getting the elrs software onto my cpu and then show me hoe to update the module and the quads to the same version. If you could show me how to do it, I could do it myself with the rest of them to avoid taking up a bunch of your time

Do you just put it in a new frame?
No, you'd likely want larger motors and would need larger props as well. And a bigger battery!

Glad the floght controller does 2s. Will work very nicely on toothpick builds.
good stuff 😍
Acrobee65 is nearly 35 grams wet - so 65mm ECO at 31 is still a winner.
This drone is my favorite so far. It is light and so fast. Can you recommend something comparable?
Any idea when they are making a HD brushed version? 😅
4:3 is Deal Breaker for me. Technically speaking flight controller & vtx could handle 2s but not those motors? Thank you for your Video!
