There might not be too many places like California, but there’s certainly nowhere else on this planet anything like Bel Air. A home for the wealthiest people around, a place with the highest household income in Los Angeles.
So let’s take a look at some of these incredibly expensive mansions Bel Air has to offer. You just might have heard about a couple of them, but it can’t be helped, mansions in Bel Air are simply just that popular worldwide.
"THE ONE" was just sold. Not for 500 million. Not for 295 million. It was forcebly sold at auction for 126 million. Only 5 people put in bids and it was at 70 million for a long time.

These homes are for extended families. Otherwise half the rooms would never be used. And I have never heard of a ‘billionaire’ with 8+ kids to fill those 9+ bedrooms.

Nobody, especially not actual billionaires, is going to buy that piece of expensive junk for $500M. There's a property somewhere in Colorado-New Mexico or somewhere, touching on the Grand Canyon Park.... or just over $100M and it has 15,000 acres of land and a few fancy resort/vacation places that would generate a very nice income... No way a real billionaire would want to be sitting in that few dozen feet by few dozen feet piece of mount, even if it's full of Italian marble... looking at endlessly smoggy Downtown LA 365 days a year...
The One just sold for 141 million which is a loss of 359 million dollars. Nile Niami the buildings developer should have stuck to his original day job, producing B movies.

The Shape of the first house looks ugly I wouldn't pay anything for that.
The first one shown reminds me of a motel on the outside. A couple of the others look like office parks. I'm sure the furnishings are expensive but the modern furniture and accessories look tacky to me. The traditional European style mansions architectural styles with the Palace of Versailles interiors are the most impressive looking.

Just to have a good conversation and in curiosity as far as these types of mullion dollar markets. Unless you have a large extended family you're close with and you're running a million dollar type corporation. Why would you need this type of luxury or space? It's not at all meant negatively just a genuine curious question. I don't believe these types of properties are solely to flex, there has to be a business aspect to owning these homes. For instance, I can understand people like the Kardashians buying properties like these to an extent because they've got such a large immediate family let alone extended family. They also almost all have million dollar business ventures where they would need to both work with and entertain LARGE groups of people so it makes sense. So is that what these luxurious, beyond your average lower end million dollar luxury, properties are for? Cause I don't see your average singer or movie star needing this type of space to entertain? I would imagine, not saying they can't afford it by any means, if they aren't running an extremely successful business on top of acting or singing it would drain them dry and make them crazy very quickly wouldn't it?
