- The 2022 Triple Tree Fly In held at the Triple Tree Aerodrome SC00 in Woodruff, SC.
This event is held annually at a wonderful facility operated by a non-profit that only holds a handful of events each year. The runway is a 7000’+ X 200’+ grass strip that is manicured to look like a mile and a half long fairway. Fantastic infrastructure, great people and some neat aircraft were in attendance.

Flew in Thursday and Saturday. When I die, I hope this is what heaven is like. Everybody friendly and watching kids in the camping area was an inspiration for the future of GA. Truly a special place.

You didn’t happen to catch that near accident on Saturday around lunch time did you? I think it was a Skylane coming down short final while a VTail Bonanza was taking off. They got really close, then the skyline dipped down to the runway getting into the wake of the bonanza and almost lost control. It was scary!
No, I wasn’t there on Saturday only Friday. Doesn’t sound like a good situation though.

They have ask the Spartanburg Armature Ham club to help with communication this year in September 18-24 2023 . I hope meet a lot of folks there ! Fly Safe
