From 6:10 onward, just watching how caught up in their performance they get is inspirational. It consumes their entire soul; they ARE their music. Absolutely breathtaking.
I really wish this would be released in north america, I can't stop listening to this. The rajisthani/ hindi influence just brings such a warm worldy feeling to a band that is already absolutely amazing. I have so much repect for these guys. THIS is music at its finest.
I love how they mix their style of music with a totally different culture. They're experimenting with it, which I like. That is what I call a passion for music!
I see what you mean but I don't agree, when the Beatles went to India they wanted to explore the music to make it their own, this journey is much more a collaboration where they both hold on to their identities but look for ways to blend the two worlds together. I personally think it's a wonderful project with an exciting outcome.
oh lovely!! Haha...i just wish that they'd also regard the modern bands here in India. Because the common misconception for foreigners is that india is all about traditional, folk music. But Delhi and Bombay have a booming alt, rock, blues and grunge scene! AAaaah, someone recognise this!! Collaborate with mod indian bands!
I noticed a lot of Mumford's old songs were renamed for Babel. Like Learn Me Right is now Not With Haste and To Darkness is now either Home or Broken Crown.
still can't really figure out why they did this great great thing and then i got "babel" and the broken crown version is on it... totally prefer this one.
just when i thought i couldn't love them more, they go to india and now i'm left speechless.
This is just AMAZING!!!
i didn't think it was possible for me to love this band more, but i was sorely mistaken. they are truly incredible.
Its so amazing how totally different cultures can come together threw music.
If EVERYONE listened to Mumford and Sons there would be no fighting in this world. What a joyous, beautiful collaboration.
Im going to meet Marcus mumford's parents on sunday at church! They're Giving a speech in our mass!! Oh my gosh the creators of mumford! -3

This video perfectly sums up what I love most about music: the melding of two completely different cultures to make something new and beautiful.
