That being said, he does run Timetwister, so with infinite mana he could draw his library and cast Timetwister, then again draw his library to get access to every non-exiled card in his deck.
Damn these guys from Play to Win are killing it with their "Marketing Campaign". Theyve been on Commander Clash and Casually Competitive, now all we need is them on Commander VS and Spike Feeders. Also, haven't finished watching yet but I'm sure I'm in for a great game.
In an earlier video, I commented about how I wish I say more different and unique decks. And he didn't really talk about it but I really appericate that an Abzan deck was being played on this channel. It almost won several times and did pretty good overall. (I love Abzan decks). Plus the Gruul stacks deck was great too see. As said before, would love to see more unique decks like stacks Gruul and Abzan deck.👍
I loved everything about the Sad Farm. Tragic that Thrasios is always such an oppressive deck, would love to see it get crushed by life gain value. I could tell the second that Thrasios resolved for the third time that the game was over.
Loving this gameplay. Quite a lot of back and forth. Ruric Thar really narrows down the decision tree once he hits the battlefield. Considering he’s just the big dumb guy, he has a lot of impact on the game.
Seeing a Najeela list labeled "very optimized" as a 9/10 on your power scale, I'm curious what you would rate as a 10/10, especially in a post-Flash world.
In a post-flash world I'm kind of waiting on the 10/10. Previously, the 10/10 was reserved for Flash Hulk lists, and now I'm kind of being cautious about what gets that slot
What kind of sadist votes to see Turbo Thrasios again?? Also, I’m really loving the Sad Farm list. Funny backstory and it did some pretty cool stuff this game.
Welcome to play to win where we like to crush our opponents. Every time a really bad sight when Thrasios and Seedborn Muse are online. Very good game play. Thank you for the entertainment. (:
18:00 when the Mindblade Render attacks it should have also created a warrior token attacking with the Mindblade Render as Najeela was on the board. Same goes for Ruric Thar as he is also a warrior. Edit: I just noticed it is a "may" ability, but there is no reason why he wouldn't want another token at that time.
Nice catch with the may ability. To your edit, Najeela's controller doesn't get the tokens when an opponent attacks with a warrior, the opponents would. No reason to give the enemies free 1/1's
Since all the gameplay for these episodes is done using webcams I would prefer that the top 2 players' boards be flipped so that the cards are right-side-up. Maybe I'm alone in this but it would be more like arena and easier to read. Since the players are non-co-located there's no real barrier to doing this either. Other than that I enjoyed the content as usual :)
Activates thrasios 16 times, but the the hand size counter indicates that he drew all sixteen, rather than just the 9 non-lands that he actually got to hand.
Not sure if you still care, but since no one answered your question I will. You cast goblin sharpshooter, then enchant it with splinter twin. Once you can tap the sharpshooter you tap it to create a copy. I’ll call the original A and the first copy B. You tap B to kill a -/1 already on the board which untaps both A and B. You tap A to create a third sharpshooter who I’ll call C. Once C hits the field you tap it to ping an opponent for one. You then tap B to ping C for one killing it and untapping both A and B again. At this point you repeat the loop until your opponents are all dead.
You are correct - He ended up discarding the turn after so it wouldn't have mattered (he most likely would have played the next turn the same way) and I think everyone expected the game to be over very soon after so this error slipped by
Whats the reasoning behind playing Akiri, if it's just there for colors wouldn't Bruse Tarl do the same job colorwise while having more utility as a creature you might wanna cast?
Akiri can have some synergy with stax pieces (although i didnt see any it can play better against them too), the lower cmc is helpful for faeburrow elder or bloom tender. Although tbh the difference between the two boris partners in this deck is minimal.
(I'm the designer of the list) The difference between running Bruse Tarl vs Akiri comes down to what you want your Neoform to resolve into (Seedborn vs Zirda). Looking purely at value, Seedborn is a stronger play, but it doesn't win the game on its own. Akiri into Zirda is strong value as well AND has the option of immediately translating into a win with a Monolith in play. For me, the possibility of immediately translating into a win tips the scale in favor of Akiri.
@@MFobes but if you see the deck lists, they are pretty much the same lists... Maybe the consistency of ending the game before turn 5 make it "real" cedh?
@25:16, why not just make infinite mana with the basalt monolith? It's a mana ability, so tapping it for mana doesnt use the stack, and you should be able to untap in response to the abrupt decay
@@JustSomeLamp I know this is super late... but couldn't he just untap and tap over and over again because he has kinnan who gives the monolith the ability to generate infinite colorless mana
You can blame me for that one, while taking the notes for the game and narrating I missed 4 of the Blood Artist triggers. Bill should be at 4 more life by the time Blood Artist gets exiled and the damage doesn't really matter, but if I remember correctly it was split up somewhat evenly among his opponents.

I always mention it and say im gunna be on point with my triggers, but I miss them so often its a running joke in my group that Ayara isnt a acary deck because I always forget to win
I cannot help but feel that the Ruric Thar player missed his chance to take out the Thrasios player. For the Ruric There was a bunch of points where he sent his general after the Sad Farm player who had plenty of life and blockers. If he instead pressured the Thrasios player he could have lowered his life total. I know it is easy to say in retrospect, but at least when he saw Seedborn Muse off the top he should have started going after him.
What a great video! Minor spoiler alert! I was just wondering why your Ruric Thar has so few lands? Most list I see have at least 32 lands due to his stax effects and high CMC cards? I noticed you were a little shy on lands during the game, especially after the overloaded cyclonic rift. I play 33 lands, but I think I will cut it to 32 after seeing your list with only 30.
Man that game was intense, kinda disappointed with Thrasios tho tbh. I mean we have everyone else going off and then there's this dude sitting there activating his fish a couple times? Idk, just seems like he's using Thrasios for extra colours in his Akiri deck
As cool as the Thrasios deck was, its time like that, where my opponent goes on for several minutes doing things that take forever and i have response for, that make me bored and space out and not wanna play anymore. No offense, it was cool, but very circlejerky
