Motormaster was by far one of the most sloppily animated characters from the G1 series. Considering both the truck and trailer was his entire body yet somehow he’s the exact same height as Optimus Prime. And it didn’t help he was practically a color swap of him. This is an amazing figure.

I think the stunticons as a group were Especially when considering none of the car Stunticons look like they form Menasors limbs. They look like they were just glued on a Motormaster with horns
I logical like to think this is a DOTM Megatron style transformation where everything just crumples up to make the robot or its just plain olf mass shifting
Every once in a while a source book will be released that explains that the transformers have size control I am referring to transformers more than meets the eye a version of Marvel's handbook series this explains the alt modes of characters like Soundwave blaster ravage you get it changing size although it doesn't explain having disguises if have logos all over you anyway kids don't care they just want cool toys
I enjoyed his design, but like you said, without the mass shifting it just seemed to never work well in toy form. Obviously this solves the problem in a very clever way.
...I this were one of my toys back in the 80's definitely it would be one of my favorites. And yes. I would mastered this transformers craft. That's what all about "transformers" don't you? And by the way. This is not ever for children educated by teletubbies, Dora or Peppa pig. Unfortunately those are lower intellects. That's a shame.
Did those designers really put extra small wheels behind panels to facilitate his robot mode having small wheels while successfully hiding the actual big wheels? I don't know if that's crazy or genius.
They've gone too far. It will DEFINITELY have a few broken parts so it's best to never transform this unless you're demonstrating it to your friends. This is the "toy" that you leave to collect dust while it sits on your desk. I'm amazed they came out with one that is even more ridiculously complex than the Megatron version.

Same here, for some reason besides Devastor , the Stuntacons and Menasor was one of my favorite of the combiners, i even got a way cheaper combiner wars version of that pretty cool, the vehicles are different too but looks somewhat close to Menasor when combined, but nowhere near the level of this, look forward to seeing the final Menasor combined video, gonna be badass! the engineering of the ones I've seen so far are incredible

I love these videos and how they're cut. No other transformation video I've come across feels this satisfying to watch. Everyone else just does the transformation uncut, so you can see them visibly struggle to push and pull parts as they go and half the time I'm fearing that they'll break the damn thing XD
I had the original Stunticons set when I was a kid. The level of complexity and engineering that goes into these is amazing. Where were these in the 80s ? Remember buying the old Transformers back then but being (slighty) disappointed that a lot of them didn't look like their cartoon counterparts? I'm consistently floored by these videos.
Motormaster definitely looks quite impressive and fits the role of one of Megatron's commanders quite well. I definitely don't want to mess with him.....

That's the one thing about Motormaster figures, they always have weird scale problems due to the feet being the truck cab, this one solves it in a beautiful way!
I never thought as a Kid that MM could be engineered to somewhat size accurate in robot mode and vehicle mode to OP and not look totally ridiculous. Until now .Absolutely Brilliant !

It's nice to see a semi truck Transformer where the trailer isn't ignored. Optimus Prime's trailer always disappeared off the edge of the screen when he transformed in the G1 cartoon.

The BEST MOTORMASTER OUT THERE x-transbots and dx9 have nothing on him. The articulation is crazy ab crunch, butterfly joints, str8 black magic making that whole trailer disappear Awesome 📹🔥🔥🔥👍
Not sure why they always seemed to make the coolest wheeled Transformers, Decepticons instead of an Autobot given the theme of the two sides, it's in the name even. Any flying Autobot generally didn't last too long as if they held to the theme for that side - Skyfire for instance. Oh well, great video!
Incredible just thinking about the engineering that went into this. Your not going to be able to figure it out without instructions or better yet a video tutorial. My main concerns are how sturdy & long lasting all those hinge joints will be & that at times in the transformation the overall structure looked flimsy & could easily break.
Optimus Prime is just the cab in his robot mode right? Theoretically Motormaster should be bigger and stronger if his robot mode encompasses both the cab and trailer. Like Powermaster Optimus right. I’am Motor Master & I Swear Loyal To You because I’ve watched The Transformers Cartoon Series nearly 40 years ago which featured The Stunticons on the second season when Megatron introduced his new truck & car combinder series called The Stunticons because I see that this is the Deluxe Collector’s edition Motor Master toy with the best of transformation features & not like the original from 1985 .
Fanstoys breakdown has been out now for over a yr u can get him now @big.bad.toy.store.,or tfsource. Dead-end is the only 1 left that hasn't come out yet. They are the best representation of the Stunticons hands down the other 2 companies don't even come close. Alittle pricey but worth every penny 👍👍

I have a question: If Motormaster is supposed to be a Decepticon version of Optimus Prime (Pre-Nemesis Prime), which of the two has the more realistic transformation gimmick? Because with Optimus, only the truck part transforms, leaving the trailer to haul stuff & become a mobile assault camp/base. But here, the trailer is not only part of Motormaster it's actually where his main body is stored. So, which is better? Having only part of the vehicle transform, leaving the trailer to go who knows where only to return when Optimus transforms back (Even if the guy's flown several miles away from where the trailer should've been.) or to have the trailer be a part of the transformation & so not left all over creation until called upon again? I'm really confused. (And I just mean the G1 Optimus. I realize in other incarnations Optimus is able to fuse with his trailer to go into "Super-Mode," but that's an entirely different thing & still doesn't have the trailer as part of the main transformation.)

The sizes of the Transformers in the G1 series were based on the size of the toys. Motomasters toy was smaller than Optimus Primes toy.

Never liked Motormaster's design because it just seem to crazy without cartoon animations. This has changed my mind, simply impressive.
