Wow, great review. This would be abysmal service on any cruise line, but on a Four Seasons yacht it's absolutely unacceptable. At those prices, everything (including hot tubs) should work, a drink should be obtainable from every seat in the house in under 5 minutes, and a 15 minute wait for a menu should embarrass the crew and crew leader. If I'd payed $10K/p for this voyage, I would be furious. Thanks for keeping it honest!

And if the ratio of crew to guest is good, they have then hired the wrong staff. I watched u and Milly and thoroughly enjoyed your take. Thank you.
I don’t understand the understaffing, especially for sure a luxury cruise line, no matter the age. We all know there are bazillions of staff members on cruise ships across the world. You’d think any and all of them would love to work on such a classy cruise ship with upper class guests, as long as they’re being paid a bit more than they are on crappy cruise lines, with sometimes annoying and crass cruisers. This seems like a no brainer if the cruise line pays more (since they charge more) and since the cruisers can probably afford to tip more than most other cruise lines. Something must be wrong if experienced cruise workers aren’t jumping at the chance to work on this ship.
I was planning of going on this cruise line, but definitely, I wouldn't go with this cruise line, that thing is unacceptable. I'll cruise with Silversea, as I usually do.

Excellent, honest review -- it's always fun to feel like we're tagging along with you! 🙂 As for this Ritz Carlton experience, it seems rather lacking in ambience, charm, and service for the exorbitant price. It feels like a cross between a luxury high-rise apartment building (with all the nicely appointed, yet empty common areas) and the vast, sterility of Equinox Sports Club LA. Lastly, I was shocked that I could literally SEE how dry and stringy that chicken was -- for that to translate onto the screen, it must have been absolutely inedible in person! 😅

I appreciate how you're always honest and point out the shortcomings you've quickly over the past month become my favorite luxury travel channel because of that because I've seen people say everything is amazing and yet very clearly you can see that the luxurious area that they're reviewing has huge shortcomings
I’m still struggling with cruises. Service issues and amenities fail were rather disappointing. I find it far too much for the mass appeal and lack of overall privacy. However, great review of the better priced suites and all important guidance on better deck positioning. Always lovely to see you & Milly traveling together 👫
I've got quite a few of your videos now and I have to say you will not be out of place on the BBC the fact that you put this together yourself is absolutely unreal well done my friend and thank you from someone who is unable to travel also in the UK

Genuinely makes me so happy to see your sea friends joining in the video!!! Popped a massive smile on my face that they were so cool and happy to take the cam out kayaking! currently admitted in hospital and will be for a while so i'm very grateful for these videos Will and Millie xx
Hi Will and Millie! My ex roommate and one of my best friends now live across the states from one another but anytime you posted a new video, when we lived together, as soon as she got home from work, I would have wine poured and your new video queued up. Now we FaceTime one another and watch the videos together and you are BY FAR the best travel reviewer! You make it personable and relatable and our favorite part is seeing what you arrive in and when we saw the Florida taxi we both said "oh no Will that is NOT you boo!" HAHA! As someone who you helped inspire this past March to launch my own travel agency, I want to thank you for doing what you do. I cannot travel quite like you do YET, but your HONEST reviews truly are helping so many people out there be able to have a bit of a true experience before making this kind of financial commitment. Most people can't travel often as you travel so when they are choosing to make a purchase like this, sometimes only once ever ten years, it is these authentic reviews that really make an impact on people's lives. So thank you so much and although we adore you, we must say waiting to see Millie's fashion is like watching a red carpet event! P.s. We have agreed that her sunglasses at breakfast 10/10!
Honestly - in my experience, this is typical of Marriott. Lots of flash, but when it comes down to it, they are always hesitant to pull out the cash. They will stretch service personnel to their absolute limits before hiring more people. I would have thought that Ritz Carlton would have more investment, especially since it is such a new and high-end project, but when you were having service issues, I was not surprised. I worked for Marriott and Marriott Vacations Worldwide and they are all about over promising and under delivering.
What do you expect from an owner who calls for a "tipping day" and asks to tipp extra... remember his letter very well on the website and how fast my comment was removed. Simply pay living wages, then no one needs to tipp.
How true. How can people be so stupid to go on a cruise and obviously want to be ripped off. These people may have money how they make it god only knows but money they may have but very little in the ways of brains.
Completely agree with you although this applies to all cruise lines but this lot has little or no experience in cruising and yet people will pay these ecruise fares. Crazy.@@AMK190768
very glad you are honest about the experience. If Ritz Carlton cannot provide the service they say they do, they should either steeply discount the fares on those voyages or not sail at all. I've had incredible experiences with R-C, I would have been very disappointed with this.
I absolutely love watching your videos! I love to travel and explore and seeing someone else do these voyages ranging from the relatively inexpensive all the way to the lavish is an awesome experience. Don’t stop making these amazing videos!
Wow will, I’ve been watching you since 10k-, I’ve gone through 5 accounts, moving halfway across the world and probably 1,000,000 cups of tea. All I want to say is thank you for your amazing content and happy soul!
Another stellar video complete with the good, the bad and the ugly - EXACTLY what we've come to expect from your content. I'm truly sorry you had so many issues, while there are always going to be little things here and there, the sheer amount of failings (especially when you consider the cost and alleged "luxury" classification) are unacceptable. 😕 At ~ $1000 per night, you should have wanted for nothing. And how is a concierge "unable to find you" on a ship that tracks you when you board, when you enter your room, when you reserve a table and when you disembark/re-embark for land excursions? Personally I despise obvious lies and flimsy excuses and would prefer people just be honest. A "Hello, I'm so sorry I didn't get to you yesterday, but I have 200+ people and no help" would be preferable to "Um sorry couldn't find ya." Anyway, keep up the great work and here's hoping your next trip is better. ✈🚢🚓
Wow! From your previous videos, I always get the feeling you try to stress the good points when things go wrong. This looks like it was pretty shoddy. I was looking at Sea Dream Yacht or this for a winter escape. Unless Evrima bucks its ideas up, it won't be them! Than you for your great reviews!
Will, I truly enjoy your channel. It allows me to travel without leaving home, and since I’m disabled this is wonderful for me. I really like that you show the menus, but often they are unreadable. I was hoping you could fix that. Thank you for your videos.
I heard, while aboard another small ship in the Caribbean over the Christmas holidays, that Ritz Carlton recruited their staff from their hotels and not from season cruising staff. The talk among cruise ship staff (and they DO talk to each other!) was that Ritz Carlton had no clue how to run their "floating hotel."
Just discovered your content this week and absolutely love it! You have done so many trips that I would love to do if only I had the time and the money!! Watching your videos has given me a lovely escape from the everyday drudgery!
So app not working, concierge “not finding you”, broken hot tub, poor service on the sun deck, poor service in one of the restaurants, wrong orders at same restaurant, food poor at said restaurant…almost $10,000. That’s an unacceptable amount of issues for that price. But the 1% are gonna 1%, stuff like this ain’t for the majority of us peasants.
No I can tell you, from a son of a 1% hard earned cash with that kind of service, You will get a hefty discount. They know you know the same people who would buy this if its accaptable. But when its shit their friends will NEVER buy it. Just new rich idiots
Yessss! Another cruise review! I am sadden that such a grandeur name like Ritz Carlton produced a mostly great product with lots of noticeable areas needing improvement, where I expect near flawlessness at that price range. Even with several years of delay, it seems quite unacceptable. Thank you for sharing this piece with us! I cannot wait for more cruises! I especially look forward to Royal Caribbean's new Icon of the Seas, if you do review it!
Thank you for the gruelling, hard work you do. Few people in the world are willing to expose themselves to the tribulations you do, but someone has to do it! God bless ❤
I assume you are being sarcastic hope so anyway and if you are I completely agree with you. Looks completely out of place also no idea how to dress for the occasion either.
This review was truly an absolute pleasure to watch. Will is always incredibly honest and that's why I trust his reviews. Had time permitted, it would have been a treat to hear more about your experience at the Marina in San Salvador. Looking forward to having you back in The Bahamas soon.
Absolutely yes to an antarctic cruise! That would be one of my bucket list trips to take, but I might just have to settle with living vicariously through your channel!
Really appreciate your effort on bringing out the information to us. Alongside, extremely sorry to have experienced an uneven service standards. Ritz Carlton always goes above and beyond. Being a Ritz Carltoner myself I'm deeply saddened to know what you had to go through. I know it will be worked out and you will be experiencing an unparallel level of service standards and luxury in your future trips. Bon voyage.
My husband and I have been cruising for 20+ years on the mass market lines. Though this cruise is obviously an exclusive one, for that amount of money, the crew should have been waiting on you both hand and foot. I'm all for luxury experiences, but it looked like you didn't come close to the service you should have experienced, given the price.
Millie looks fab as always! I hope in future outings we get to hear her opinions on the food, room, activities as well? As outsiders looking in we may question your criticisms but then after hearing the price -- WTF? You are seriously too kind to the Ritz Carlton cruise line. When traveling on cruise ship with only 300 passengers the service really does need to Michelin star. I guess we can attribute it to the cruise getting its sea legs. Thank you for the detailed journey and very fair criticisms. Stay safe in your travels.
I have been wanting to do this for two years, but I didn't know anybody who would try it first and tell me if it was worth it! So very happy to see this show up on my youtube today!
This is the first full review of the Evrima I’ve seen. It’s an absolutely beautiful ship. I’ve had my eye on it for a while, but for the price it seems like they’re not quite delivering the value. It also seems a bit too sedate for my travel style at the moment. Thanks for the detailed info!
That's such a shame for such a lovely ship that you encountered some severe detail related issues. The hot tub being "broken" on such a new yacht sounds to me to be more that it wasnt completed vs it being actually broken. Also for the ultra premium price of this yacht, they should not have been so short staffed. This is Ritz Carlton, and in their hotels they have a rather nice staff to customer ratio. The fact that the drinks by the pool were just thrust into some bins with ice and the ice wasnt even replenished, that's a glaring hole. I was just looking at this ship today wondering about sailing on her, but until they get the issues ironed out, I wont do any more than just look at what a pretty yacht it is from the outside. Dont let this discourage you from sailing ultra luxury in the future. I think you might really like something like Seabourn or Regent. Something that's much more dialed in when it comes to their service as well as the operations of the ship. Seems to me like Evrima was rushed after she experienced plenty of Covid delays already, and she's just not quite ready for the prime time demands of luxury travellers.
Not sure I'm going to book this cruise any time soon. At this price point, all should have been much better than you reported. It seemed you two lovebirds had a great time regardless. Cheers!
I love this channel! Your reviews, attention to detail, and videography is amazing. Of course, having your current travel companion along helps with the overall beauty appeal of the video. Can’t wait for the next video!
The first thing I noticed when you entered the cabin was that the was no sofa, just a single swivel chair. Why not provide 2 chairs since a cabin is almost always going to be occupied by a couple? There is room. @ 3:53 You are clearly having to make do with some kind of stool. Nice of you to give Millie the swivel chair.
I enjoyed coming along with you and the ever lovely Mille indeed. I liked this ship but, for the price, even discounted I would not have been pleased with all that was lacking. I would've expected better. If they were more up to par I think I'd actually prefer this one over Virgin because for me Virgin was just too busy for me with too many choices and areas. I am super excited to see your Alaskan Cruise coming up sometime this year with your folks. That's going to be fun.
It would be awesome if you could post a video around keeping fit for someone who spends a lot of time travelling. I find so many lounges, business expenses, holidays, platinum perks and business class flights are taking their toll on my waistline!!
Lovely cruise overall but all the little mistakes of service etc. would have me hesitant, to stick with the other larger cruises. This is definitely one they should invite you back to, to do another one of these in an updated matter
Thank you so much for this review. My wife and I recently went on a magical 7 day tour of the French Riviera on the SeaDream and we we're considering trying a Ritz Cruise for an anniversary trip... after watching this, SeaDream it is! While the SeaDream is an older and smaller boat, the service and food was 5 Star/First-Class from start to finish.
Another fantastically presented video...your cruise and train journeys are my favorites, just because there are more things to experience rather than being cooped up in a plane.... cheers to you 🤟🎶
My ex and I did a similar cruise on Raddison Cruise line, but instead of the 1 chair there was a whole living room suit, albeit made on a smaller scale. We had about the equivalent type room, but appeared a bit more roomy. The service was much better than they had on this cruise, but I think there’s still a lack of applicants because of the threat of Covid. I honestly would be upset if I paid $53k and got that quality of service. Frankly, I expected their cruise would be more than $9k and the disparity between the two classes is beyond ridiculous. It still looked like a very relaxing time.
Thank you for the entertaining and informative report. We're contemplating a cruise and the style and size of this one appeals. However the price and service / amenities failings would certainly put us off. I assume the cabin is 67sqm in size rather than 67sqft as mentioned - if not, larger cabins would be available in solitary confinement! 🙂 To aid future reports, I'd certainly recommend taking a qualification with WSET.
Feel like the service issues are mainly because they're understaffed, but that shouldn't be the case for something that considers itself "boutique experience." I've been on 1 cruise my entire life...from San Pedro to Ensenada round-trip. It was via Carnival, and I had an amazing time. That cruise was about $300 or so per person, so this one should definitely be streets ahead.
Hi Will! I do believe that Moet is pronounced with the soft T but if you were to say "Moet & Chandon" then you would say a hard T. The reason being that the hard T usually comes if it were something like Moete, but obviously not the case here. Since Mo-e & Chandon doesn't roll off the tong so simply, you are "allowed" to pronounce the T in order to differentiate the names.
Thanks for watching Daniel. It’s actually a common misconception, and the T is pronounced regardless, as it’s name of Dutch heritage. This has been confirmed by LVMH - it’s a funny one I know
@@Trektrendyoh that makes sense! The umlaut on the e (ë) emphasises itself. In Dutch, with no umlaut, it would be pronounced Moot. (Moet/moot actually means “must” in Dutch). :) great content btw! It’s always a pleasure to watch
3:59 the balearia catamaran is a twin jet powered catamaran with an all aluminum body and we have had it at out drydock more than 10 times and it is incredible seeing in your video!

Thanks for the honest review. This cruise had way too many shortcomings to be accepted as luxury, then again, I’ve personally never gotten particularly great service with Ritz Carlton.
I love the Ritz Carlton brand alot it's a shame that they let down expectations in certain areas. My stay at the Ritz Carlton Toronto I could literally rave about all day and I was so interested in this but it does make me hesitant now. This must be relatively new.
I drove by that ship yesterday, I live in fort Lauderdale. When I saw it, I thought about you... Then I see this video on YT! I felt like I missed you while you where here.... Keep up the great work!!!

However, great review of the better priced suites and all important guidance on better deck positioning. Always lovely to see you & Milly traveling together 👫
Yes for the Antarctic cruise - I'd be interested in seeing how the 'scientific' cruises like Viking work!
I went with Seabourn. Great trip 'til I was quarantined for a week with Flu!
I've got quite a few of your videos now and I have to say you will not be out of place on the BBC the fact that you put this together yourself is absolutely unreal well done my friend and thank you from someone who is unable to travel also in the UK
Thank you so much :)
@@Trektrendy you're most welcome it is well deserved you make it look so easy but it must be difficult. Do you have any plans to include hotels? PS I love the new cruise videos
Thank you William & Millie! Always a pleasure travelling virtually with you😊🙏
very glad you are honest about the experience.
It's a shame there were certain things that weren't right, considering you paid so much. But overall, the ship looked fantastic 👍🏻
Being understaffed with a broken hot tub is unacceptable when selling suites for 20-50k and offering birkin bags... the ship has big potential though.
@@Encore1917 Maybe everyone got cheap tickets BECAUSE they're ironing out the kinks?
@@ukbloke5740 No one got cheap tickets, they're priced at the full rate
@@ukbloke5740Yeah I somehow doubt that with the Ritz Carlton....
@@Trektrendy You didn't pay full price though? Although I don't think you explained the mechanism employed this time.
A "Hello, I'm so sorry I didn't get to you yesterday, but I have 200+ people and no help" would be preferable to "Um sorry couldn't find ya."
Anyway, keep up the great work and here's hoping your next trip is better. ✈🚢🚓
Agreed, and please linger on the menus a bit longer. I live vicariously for the dining options!
You definitely need to take an Antartica cruise. I think it would be amazing to do.
I’d agree
I'd have been far less complementary than he has been.
If I had that kind of money, I’d get my own yacht with full service 😂
He’s in the poor people section of the boat though. Those tickets are only $10,000!
Here to give a resounding YES!!! to the Antarctic cruise! 🙏🏻
By Marriot so...
I love a good Millie episode. I think it makes it more enjoyable to watch to see you both enjoying the adventure. Look forward to more
This review was truly an absolute pleasure to watch.
Bon voyage.
My wife and I were going to try this cruise but after watching your video, we changed our mind. Great video
And he had one of the cheaper rooms, imagine paying 20-50k and having bad service at lunch and the sunlounge.. not acceptable in that price category.
trek trendy on tour ✅🌎
Yo the boss is here
Damn, UA-cam what the hell are you doing here?
Third!
I’m surprised how low of likes this comment has especially from who it’s by 😂
how many times is jit going to comment
I have been wanting to do this for two years, but I didn't know anybody who would try it first and tell me if it was worth it! So very happy to see this show up on my youtube today!
Nice cruise! Even though there were some glitches, it looked to be a very nice experience. The room and fine dining alone looked fabulous.
You make these videos seem just as relaxing for the viewers as it is for you 😮I love the relaxing documentaries you do when luxury travelling ♥️♥️
The AMOUNT of issues, service, the hot tub, the concierge, if you're paying that price, it should be immaculate and without any issue, madness.
Your production values are exceptional
Watching Trek Trendy is like a breath of fresh air, can't click on them fast enough!
A very fair and honest review, you are fast becoming my favourite UA-cam channel! The Antarctic cruise sounds brilliant, would love to see it!
I’d really like to see Will make a video on which trains, cruises, and flights he prefers
Not sure I'm going to book this cruise any time soon. At this price point, all should have been much better than you reported. It seemed you two lovebirds had a great time regardless. Cheers!
Something about your videos I can’t stop watching
I love this channel! Your reviews, attention to detail, and videography is amazing. Of course, having your current travel companion along helps with the overall beauty appeal of the video. Can’t wait for the next video!
Complete review. Thank you for noting the negatives. No hot tube- no travel. :) TY!
Let’s get this man to 1 million subs since more people deserve to see his awesome videos!!!!
Really appreciate your honesty as we are looking at this cruise for later in the year. A great watch!
It would be awesome if you could post a video around keeping fit for someone who spends a lot of time travelling. I find so many lounges, business expenses, holidays, platinum perks and business class flights are taking their toll on my waistline!!
Have you seen the nick of him?
@@simontaylor2525😂
So happy to see our Milli is back and vacationing again!
If you do an antarctic cruise, make sure to take an itinerary that goes to South Georgia Island! You won't regret it!
South Georgia is the best part!
Another fantastically presented video...your cruise and train journeys are my favorites, just because there are more things to experience rather than being cooped up in a plane.... cheers to you 🤟🎶
More amazing content Will. Thanks for the variety your providing.
looks like a great cruise overall for the 💰. I really liked 8:08, 8:19, 13:38, 13:58, 17:36 and 21:26.
This never disappoint!!
To aid future reports, I'd certainly recommend taking a qualification with WSET.
She's a beauty of a ship! Can you do a Viking cruise line through the Rhine?
Probably not glamorous enough.
I thought for a second you stopped in San Salvador, El Salvador, not quite a Ritz Carlton destination🤣🤣
Now that’s a fail
Great vid! Loved the quality, and I hope you do more of these in the future!
Love seeing Millie in your trips! ❤
Absolutely love these ship reviews. You gotta do more of these
Lots more coming up :)
Not a $10,000 experience. Thank you for the honest review.
The narration is top notch
milly is so lovely, its great when she accompanies you.
3:59 the balearia catamaran is a twin jet powered catamaran with an all aluminum body and we have had it at out drydock more than 10 times and it is incredible seeing in your video!
Oh I'd be very disappointed at that price 😮 there should be no problems on an expensive, brand new yacht. Love your videos 😊
Can’t say I’m all that impressed by this cruise.
I love your reviews just wished they were more affordable reviews
Antarctic cruise: YES! I want to see a video on that, because I’ve been thinking of going on one. I’d be especially interested in one of the more reasonably priced ones, instead of extreme luxury ships.
No concierge - very disappointing
No hot tubs working - very disappointing
No staff serving on the terrace - very disappointing
No obligatory Will in the shower scene - very disappointing
But as always another great travel log with Wil,you take is all with you, on your luxury travels, ❤️
It’s a brand. That’s it !
💖Sun deck is bright and shining right through the sky for filming and taking pictures😊.
A bit of a disappointing report on the ship, but I always enjoy your videos. Thank you.
I drove by that ship yesterday, I live in fort Lauderdale.
When I saw it, I thought about you... Then I see this video on YT!
I felt like I missed you while you where here....
Keep up the great work!!!
