I was a major at the time of Kargil skirmishes Pakistan pretended as if the Mujahideen forces took over our abandoned bunkers. At first we thought our PM visited Lahore and Pakistani PM also welcomed our PM for peace... But after the Lahore agreement we were also moved away forces from the Border and BSF was deployed across the LOC in a confidence building measure but when BSF noticed some elements equipped with GPMG, RPG, Stinger missiles and even SAM . But Pakistani DGMO denied any Pakistani troops crossed LOC & claimed that Mujahideen forces took over the abandoned bunkers .But Mujahideen forces don't use Artillery guns or SAM . So in the field we understood the Pakistani forces along with some militants tried to capture our position so that they can observe our troop position . We asked the Government to let us also cross the LOC and at first we would neutralise their Artillery Guns and finish the Artillery cover after that we would attack the elements of Pakistani Northern Light Infantry from behind but our Government didn't permit us to cross the LOC fearing a full scale War... Still despite all odds' we kicked them out of the Borders. Surprising us the the Pakistan Govt denied to take back their POWs and even the bodies of their own soldiers wearing NLI uniforms....As a Soldier I felt sorry 🙏 for the POWs and the dead soldiers who came here to fight us & lost their lives in the name of their country But their own country denied to recognise them ...... As a Soldier I also understood our opposite soldiers mental condition.........But at last by the pressure of International community Pakistan agreed to accept their POWs and the bodies of the soldiers who died for their Country.

The reason why I hated that was because they deserved to be buried in their home town next to their elders. The denial of that simple action is sad.
Well, initially they claimed it’s mujahdins who captured Indian posts and pak army isn’t involved at all so by claiming the bodies they would have to acknowledge that it was indeed pak army and not militants

Sarcasm aside:
1. India was caught off-guard. We trusted the words of friendship by PM Sharif. Big mistake, for which no one was punished.
2. Pakistan violated a previous mutual agreement to vacate the most remote posts during winter and captured Indian ones in 1999 when they had vacated them (Hence the stupid lie that Pak recon didn't find a single Indian soldier in a very large area).
3. The Indian recon team of Major Saurabh Kalia was captured, brutality tortured and their bodies mutilated. This lead to a huge furore in India.
4. Pakistani action was tactically sound for a few days before India brought its full might (artillery and then air force) to dislodge Pak intruders from the peaks. This Indian move wasn't predicted by the enemy and poor Pak soldiers already starving, were pulverized on those icy peaks.
5. Adding insult to injury, Pakistan refused to pick up their soldiers' bodies calling them Mujahideen. The Indian army with their secular ethos, gave those poor souls a proper burial, in stark contrast to what Pak soldiers did to Major Kalia and his team.
The sheer audacity of Pak Generals to spin the events in such a manner as to cover their failures is unmatched. Giving lame justifications for the loss of ordinary soldiers lives in an operation carried out for their personal glory and satisfaction of egos. They should have been court martialled and sent to prison for high treason.
It still baffles us Indians how Pakistanis have respect for such Generals, who not once or twice but 4 times lost to India and yet do not admit defeat.

Pakistan army is an army like any other army in the world and armies always comprise of best men of nations who have been trained to fight, keeping in view faith and history of Muslims very few nations can fight like us so its not a glorification Pakistan army is a brave army although we made a lot of mistakes but its beyond any doubt Pakistan army comprise of brave men I hope same would be the case with Indian army as well so no one should doubt about any army of any country.
I am an Indian and very curious about Pakistan and it's history and current affairs. But rarely I get time to read it from books. I also don't want to read Indian version bcz I don't know whether it's unbiased or not. I have read "In line of fire" and found it too much manipulated book. Tried reading "neither a hawk nor a dove" but found it too lengthy. And my desire remained unfulfilled.
Then i stumbled upon this channel after watching a documentary on kargil. I always wanted to see genuine pakistani angle. So started watching this and the research he has done to make the documentary is amazing.
Some points he missed which were very obvious. Pakistani fight bravely, but Indians too fought very very bravely. Imagine enemy sitting at height with the advantage of lesser damage ratio from 1:5 to 1:10. Means pakistani army was at the advantage point where if one pakistani soldier dies, already 5 to 10 Indian soldiers must have been killed by that time. You did not mention a single line about it that Indian army was at position of disadvantage. I know you have to cater to pakistani audience more but the fact remains that Indians faught from below upwards in very hostile conditions and WITHOUT crossing LoC. Yes, the orders were very crisp and clear that LoC should not be crossed at any cost bcz crossing LoC means attacking pakistan and invitation to all out war. I still remember those days when we use to read every line in newspapers to understand the war situation and used to curse our govt for not allowing air force or army to cross LoC. Because if LoC was crossed it was open and shut case to cut the supply lines. But later when I read "in line of fire" i realised that it was very calculated decision by Indian side not to cross LoC bcz actually musharaf thought that India will no option but will cross LoC and then he will have official reason to get pakistani army involved in the war. Then he could say that the army sitting on the peak is indeed pakistani army but it has joined later bcz India crossed LoC. Unfortunately, India didn't violate LoC (except at some grey areas which are not clearly demarcated) and this plan fell apart. Till then end pakistan could not admit that the soldiers were not Mujahideen but actually pakistani army. India kept on saying to take back the bodies of soldiers but pakistan didn't take them back. I still remember numerous photos were Indian soldiers buried them after namaz e janaza by maulavis and Pakistani flag on their bodies.
It is also wrong to say that pakistani army started withdrawing and then indian soldiers advanced. Till the recapture of tiger hill pakistani were fighting with full strength. Capt. Vikram Batra and others fought bravely and sacrificed their lives to recapture tiger hill (recent movie Shershah is on capt. Batra). After this it was clear that Pakistan's game was over. And they started withdrawing.
You said "Indians killed pakistani soldiers while they were returning back by firing on their back". What did pakistani did with Indian patrolling parties who inocently just wanted to access the situation? Many were killed by "shooting in the eye" which means the position of advantage was so much in the favour of Pakistani soldiers that they could shoot so precisely. Did they just warn parties to return? No, they killed them mercilessly. 100s of Indian soldiers died even before the war started. Indian army was in no mood to spare the Pakistanis. PM vajapayee was poet, he was against war.. but he had no option but to respond to one. Still said that "LoC must not be crossed at any point".
Musharaf in his book (indirectly) accepts that the biggest mistake they did was miscalculation. They never thought that India will respond so furiously. He thought that there will be small skirmishes at every peak and Pakistani will hold the post. India will be brought to negotiating table and Siachen will also be discussed. But india responded "out of proportion". Bofors and air attack was never expected by musharaf, also crossing of LoC was expected but it didn't happen.
But overall good video. It give good genuine pakistani angle, but i will still not call it as neutral assessment. What is difference between your video and movies "LoC" and "Shershah" who did not show even one brave person from other side. There are compulsions for movie makers that they don't need to be factual but more entertaining. But what were your compulsions? I could have understood if you would not have shown the brave pakistani who held the post. No one from either side is featured. It was ok. Or even just mentioning that Indians too fought bravely and have many bravely stories of their side.. even that was ok. But you just told one side of story as if it was so simple to capture the peaks by just bombard them with fighter planes and when pakistani started withdrawing bcz of orders from higher authority, shoot them in the back while they were withdrawing. Such a poor assessment on this part.
We need more people like you , but may be little more towards neutral side.

@Zain khan Wazir 🚩 There is no denying that the initial plan was executed well and Pakistani forces were in a dominating position. Indian forces initially could not understand how to respond. However once they could gather themselves, they captured some important peaks with great spirit. Pakistan never expected India to fight back, they felt India is a weak country and won't be able to stomache the situation.

Feel so sorry for the soldiers. Very often soldiers come from poor families. The generals almost never send their sons to the front lines. I hope there is some lesson here. War never helps. I salute the courage of the Indian army, who fought against and won the battle while fighting an enemy who was sitting on the mountain tops and thus had a superior advantage over an army that was fighting from the ground level. Indian Army Zindabad.
It is amusing to see how the Pak army brass led by Musharraf planned this debacle and when they lost the war that was never even winnable to begin with, they had the audacity to put all the blame on Nawaz Sharif.

Acc to this documentary I feel that Gen.Musharraf and his partner generals are fully responsible for a failed Kargil operation resulted in great loss of life and end of a legal democratic goverbment. These generals always conceal their failures from public and never faced any trial for their wrong and illegal actions but always public Representatives had punished and nation too paid heavy costs but generals retired with honor and perks..

Had gen. Musarraf not taken the misadventure in kargil heights, India Pakistan friendship could have been so strong, specially after the steps taken towards friendship by Atal bihari vajpayee and nawaz sharif.
But as always, the pakistan army complex had ro ruin it by entering Kargil...
Not only did the operation ended up to be a complete failure, not to mention the tremendous loss of life and the entire northern light infantry division wiped out.. but most importantly, India-Pakistan relation went back to stone age.
U don't know the history of Pakistan....Pakistan was created on the pillar of Anti - India sentiment....if Peace comes in then there's no need to have a separate nation....This relationship will continue to remain like this always

Kargil misadventure by Pak is a betrayal of epic proportions...
The Pak army chief executed an invasion of Indian posts on Kargil peaks while the Indian PM was a state guest of Pakistan and signing historic pacts and accords with his Pak counterpart.
The Pak army chief sent in army regulars disguised as Mujahideen fighters to make it look like a militancy rather than an army offensive which is a dastardly and cowardly act.

Pakistani soldiers were put in front of our Boforce Guns but the militia's fled away behind the LOC & left the already entrenched Northern Light Infantry but most of those terrorists lost their way back & were caught by our ITBP officers....But u knw some of ur officers & soldiers did a great job without any supplies bcoz we cut off their supply rout with our Boforce Howitzers ... Pakistani forces took up position in the bunkers upper than us and that was the best position in a conventional war ..... Sir it was a very hard task to dislodge the entrenched troops....... We along with 26 Punjab backed by Artillery support kicked out the enemy... u knw I'm also a soldier I salute our martyred soldiers & also the brave Pakistani troopers who laid down their life for their country..... when we were chasing the enemy we were forced to slow down by indiscriminate fire from a Pakistani positions unknown to us..... We understood that a platoon is covering their retreating boys...... We dint knw that there was just one soldier engaged us & indulged in a Bloody fight for his country....We were indeed not in a hurry becoz we were chasing & flashing up the fleeing Pakistani soldiers...we just encircled the place & cut off his supply line & pounded Mortar shells .But when we stormed the bunker we were surprised to see just a single NCO kept us waiting for two hours....... Infact I knw if the Indian Forces knew that there is only a single Braveheart was fooling us then we could have stormed the bunker, but he alone succeeded in his goal to safeguard his company in a way we couldn't imagine..... After the war our Army chief recommended the Pakistani Military abt the bravery of that single Pakistani NCO how tactfully he belated our flash out operation & Gen Mussaraf agreed and presented him the top Military ⚔ ⚔ award "Nishan e Haidar.....Only a soldier knws the ugliness of Wars & War is not a solution................I've seen that ugliness and I don't want 2 see that devilish face of War anymore...... I forgot the incident but this lecture reminded me of those days when our patrol team faced some so called Mujahideen and the NLI and they were tortured to death...... When we got back their body of the CO of the team captain Saurav Kalia all the Indian troopers vowed to take revenge on the tortured bodies of the Indian Patrol Team. The Pakistanis made a blunder by torturing and mutilate our boys bodies........ And we liberated our lands and bunkers..................
