Today we are reviewing Braking point, the brand new story mode in the F1 2021 videogame by Codemasters and EA Sports. We look at what's good and what isn't so good as well as some Easter Eggs and references that you might have missed. Aiden Jackson, Casper Akkerman, Devon Butler and Brian Doyle make up the main cast.

I found it a bit underwhelming bc i couldnt continue in career afterwards and was a bit underwhelmed in general bc i wanted more and to race at a big team
Yeah I agree with that like they could have given the option to continue playing with Aiden Jackson as a normal career mode continuing on and it wouldn't have needed any more cut scenes or anything!!
I found it to be interesting, the fact that they straight up recreated Spain 2016 (when Aiden and Casper crash into each other like Lewis and Nico Rosberg did),
I do agree that it does have its problems and inconsistent at points but I can look past it as it has some pretty good voice acting.
Overall it was a good stepping point, so there’s potential for it to be built on in future F1 games.

Great to be able to watch this without fear of spoilers having finished it already, and I as well would certainly recommend playing, a lot of fun and, in my opinion, the best way to get used to the 2021 handling model

Yeah what you said that they focused on mostly braking point makes a lot of sense,thats my main worry as well. I think that some more tracks added, even just to play by yourself and to practise could have been better. The new graphics for MyTeam look good seeing from other ytoubers but there is not that big of a change. good work Jumbo 👍!
Thanks man!! 👊👊 to be fair though My Team was so good last year that it probably didn't need much tweaking, having said that I haven't even touched my team yet, so I don't actually know what its like this year 😂😂 hopefully I'll get a chance to play it this weekend!! 🤞🤞

I didn't like the journey when it was in fifa so I'm not sure if I'd want to play this . But what plans for career mode this year do you have
No I didn't like the Journey either, in terms of the My Team series I think it will be a few weeks yet as I want to get most of the useful content done first!! But there will be one 👍👍
I think I would enjoy it but on hard I was fighting the Mercs by chapter 5 in a Williams, I don’t know why they couldn’t add the normal AI difficulty on top of the 3 main ones. It literally ruins it for me because at that point there’s no point in even having the race scenarios aside from the cutscenes
yeah they got the difficult really wrong, I was able to at least get on the podium or even win some of the 25% races in a Williams on hard, like it just didn't make any sense!! I know its just a story but knowing the performance of the cars IRL it just didn't feel right
@@itsmeJUMBO agree , I like the story idea and of course these issues could be ironed out but I wish they invested in making the my team and/or career mode have more of a story element. I think most of the regular player base would rather have that effort and time invested into those parts of the game than be a separate feature. That’s just my take though I like that they are experimenting

Probably will start the My Team series in a few weeks or so, I've got a few videos I want to do first that will help you guys out with the game and My Team etc. 👍👍

I hope you have the same logic as me today- I don't care if it's Hamilton's home gp he has no right to get a wheel stuck on Hamilton's car 51G like bro and we're like idiots for cheering at a 51G crash. I don't get how Russell- I hope I'm not being biased here- gets a 3 place grid pen and a 1+ penalty point but what happens to Hamilton nothing. Like to hear your thoughts bout this

The Russell - Sainz incident: George locks up and is technically not in control of the car when he hits Sainz. And with the rules the way they are and with Sainz losing out because of it, it has to be a penalty unfortunately.
The Verstappen - Hamilton incident: Now there is a lot of toxicity around this subject, but for me it's a racing incident, they are both as bad as each other and could have done more to prevent it from happening. It was always going to happen at some point and it will probably happen again this season too and next time it happens Red Bull will probably be the lucky party and come out on top, that's just how it works. Mercedes were fortunate today but the momentum of the championship will change again and again throughout the season, which is great for us fans!!
It's unfortunate the Max ended up in the barrier and out of the race and I think Lewis has got a 10 second penalty and 2 points on his super license because he managed to finish the race and Max didn't, as I think if Lewis ended up out of the race with Max in that incident then neither of them would have got a penalty for it.
I understand everyone has got a different opinion on it and this is just mine, but the fact that you could argue it one way or the other to me shows its a racing incident.
