Welcome to Mitch-Builds, I’m Mitch and I build custom LEGO creations!
Ever since Exo-Force came out LEGO has been in love with MECHs but all the ones I’ve seen seem to be piloted by a minifigure. With this build, I want to branch out and put down some roots by having a tree pilot our mech. So today lets design an awesome custom tree-piloted Mech.

Bro just have the most random Lego pieces that I don’t even know existed
where did you get that really weird bionicle part in 12:52?
Can you build Radhan From Elden Ring?
You Should be in that Build battle lego show
The fact that you didn't use any actual bricks for the tree and instead used rods, Bionicle parts, etc, is probably one of the reasons why you are one of the best Lego builders on this site.
Bricks as what most people think of Lego bricks
I loved the tree, maybe my favourite part of the build
Bionicle parts aren’t actual bricks????
@@-howtomake999no? A brick is well a brick

Who needs the Lorax? This tree "Speaks" for itself! Fantastic build!
No wonder Saruman wanted the forest burned down... imagine if the Ents weren't limited by the technology of their time
I’m dying!
Funny af joke
Haha😁
From the moment I learned the weakness of my cellulose, it disgusted me
I love the tree parts bleeding into the mech and the mech parts bleeding into the tree!
That Bionicle disk launcher brought so much nostalgia. I got flashbacks of me reading this one old Bionicle comic. The classic Bionicle pieces just hit different man. They look so mechanical and alien.
It would be really cool to see a video where you go thrue your process for coming up with how to build these builds
You are extremely creative
Its interesting to see how far you can push the limits of Lego
That frog just chilling there
These legs look so cool. Perfect for a mech
Random thought for a build: What would a base set in chaos magic look like? What chaotic elements would be involved in ways that defy physics but still make sense for a base?
For any Avatar fans: I know it wouldn't make much sense, but I would love to see this build in an altereted color-palette, inspired by the Sky People-mech and Eywa-tree. Just for funsies.
Guy's not only beïng niche with using mainly bionicle pieces, but znap as well. Epic lego moment
And a weird mcdonalds knights kingdom shield
Maybe give the vulture a metallic prosthetic wing?
“Does it come with a Lego frog” -Half Asleep Chris
really cool!
Love your vids! Best start to a day
You should build king ghidora next manly the heisei one
Inspired by the Zelda episode
The trees had had enough of us chopping them down
sick
The hell is going on in the Lorax?
The Lorax spoke for the trees, but no one listened. Now the tree is the one doing the talking
Can you do splitter beast next
Yellow is the best colour for lights and lamps
Fight me
TUBES.TUBES,TUBES TUBES
Canyou make the heavy?😊
This is so.. bizarrely hyper-specific. What "artificial creativity" (drugs) did you use to come up with this? And can I have some?
1:53
It honestly give me a bation from overwatch kinda vibes
What set is the water tank from
Elden ring ahh tree
No bro, that is the tree that wood from Elden ring
I dont like that the bird looks a bit like a woodpecker... an ill omen for that pilot.
HAS SCIENCE GONE TOO FAR?
It’s so fascinating that Lego has been making so many pieces that can work in tandem with each other if you have the imagination. Also as a Lego hero factory fan just would love to see you do some builds like that if that’s something you have planned in the future
Cheers! It’s always cool when an old part goes perfectly with a new one, they do a good job designing parts
He doesn’t post often but when he does its well worth the wait
He's been posting much more frequently though so that's good
@@danielmancaniello2408yea,
Considering the quality and detail in these builds he's uploading faster than I expected!
Cheers :) trying to do every two weeks for the next while but 3 seems to be the sweet spot for my sanity 😅
I was watching the video while building an Adam smasher moc and thru the missile launching system from the mech I was finally able to get an idea on how to build his missile launcher (thanks for that btw)
That sounds cool
Nice! Have fun building!
@@MitchBuilds thanks I will as soon as I start again
How can we spruce up this section?
Anyone: Maybe some detailed greebling?
Mitch: Throw a tire on it 😎
I never tire of a tire
You've been my comfort youtuber since you first started posting on this platform, and I just wish to offer my greatest gratitude for the respite you've brought me. Through major depressive episodes and my worst lows, I always return to this safe and heartening space you've created. Thank you so much for the tranquillity you bring to this environment
Sentient trees creep me out (weirdly enough) but I adore this so much, I love the idea of the non-humanoid pilot, the fact that it is a vegetable, and of course, the execution!
Damn this is so cool. Would love to see a Ben10 alien built in your building style one day. Great Job!
I adore the concept of this, a lot of detail and thought went into the overall design, and it shows. Your part usage requires so much obscure but intricate knowlage! I would really have to 'trust the process' to build like you do. Best of luck in the competition, if you don't place high, the judges have questionable taste!
this aint mother nature this is father tech💀
i love the creativity that you put in your mocs and designs! a mech piloted by a tree is so unique i love it!
i also am curiouse, how do you have such a large inventory of pieces, its really cool!
Been collecting for a long time!! But my standard brick supply is comparatively small, I just like buying funky weird parts!
Groot gonna love this one🔥🔥🔥
frog frog frog frog frog frog frog frog frog frog frog frog frog 13
now this is beyond cool!
and you could even say that the water pump also doubles as a water Gun too! So if it doesn't want to use lethal force via its rocket launcher, it can repel foes with the water jet, though that obviously means it'll need to replenish that water supply so it can keep itself hydrated.
That’s a fun idea! I thought maybe itd use it to give itself a watering too haha
@@MitchBuilds hahah yeah
and what if it was a gardener itself taking care of other plants & trees? it could also use the gun to water the other plants aswell, even firing it upwards to water everything at once like a sprinkler!
Robot arms in each other's holes is a stresser, but can be easily amended with a pneumatic T to be a stress-free build.
Yes. Please never use this “technique” again.
I think it looks better this way!
@@MitchBuilds Understandable, just warning you in case they snap
I'm reminded of a playable character in Risk of Rain 2 named Rex, a robot/plant hybrid with abilities from both.
I kinda wish this side of the Cyborg archetype was explored more often even if it is narrative nonsense for a plant to have that much "neural capacity" to be a pilot.
The perfect mix of Biology and technology.
I LITERALLY just made a robot with a tree for an arm and a leg. Great minds think alike I guess
Such a cool and unique build! Love your work, keep it up!
12:43 From which Bionicle does this part come? I'm racking my brain and can't think of which one! It looks like a Piraka arm, but it's more beefy than that. I'm leaning towards Hero Factory even?
Just curious!
This video just popped in my recommendations and im glad I've clicked. Duuuude this mech is absolutely amazing 😮
Masterpiece.
Thanks for stopping by!
I like this idea a lot because I've read a lot about trees and found out that they're more perceptive of the world around them than we thought. Apparently trees can "communicate" with each other via root systems and mycelium. Trees know the health status of other trees around them and they can even allocate nutrients and water to trees that are failing in health. So a tree piloting a mech that can interpret its signals as instructions to move would be a cool concept. Although, realistically, the mech would only do things like move towards sunlight or stand in place during rain.
wasn't sure about the concept of the roots wokring their way through the mech but it looks soooo good. The contrast of mechanical and organic, symmetrical and asymmetrical is just *chefs kiss*
Cheers!!
Da Bionicle king is back baby he neva miss we're eating good today y'all
it’s always a better day when MitchBuilds uploads. you have so many parts and knowledge about all aspects of lego that i can’t help but love your wild ideas
Damn man, you’ve been pumping these videos out like crazy!
ayooo new mitchbuilds video!!
Idea for a video series: making a bionicle moc from other lego sets
For example making a bionicle based off of lego city
Neat! I always look forward to your builds man, these are always top notch
Glad you like them!
1 day under gang 👇
Great
love yours videos
*EXPELIOMUS!* My favourite word!
Bro randomly started roasting the red pins out of no where
They had it coming
Great work! I haven't touched Lego in a decade but I get flashbacks to my old projects and all the cool parts that Lego has to offer when I watch your videos. Thank you for putting these videos together.
This is amazing, I love how ya put the disk launcher as a reference.
He should add this to Lego ideas and it has a frog so Lego would aprov👍jk😅
this is literally so cool!!! I love the idea of the water pump arm and the reservoir on the back. Amazing as always!!!
Thanks so much!!
Super cool as always. Good luck in the competition and congrats on another sponsored video!
What's wrong with ur mic today? It sounds like it's partially underwater lol.?
Ya I heard that too
this video singlehandedly may get me back into lego 😭
I'd like to imagine the story of this tree being near a downed military mech, slowly growing and developing in its inner workings overtime until it had control.
Did I just find Lego north of the border??
ah yes, my favourite lego piece, *jar*
It’s so amazing
If mitch doesnt win the bio cup im gonna be mad
Impressive seems too shallow a word...
I think this is the first time I've seen someone actually use Znap parts in a constraction MOC.
Can you please make Adam Smasher from Cyberpunk:Edgerunners with bionicle pieces?
Amazing as always
Damn that is so unique and creative, absolutely love it!
Isengard won't stand a chance!
The title made me think you might've been jumping the shark, but holy heck man the execution proved me wrong. Amazing builds as always.
I saw this a while back on Flickr, your description was brilliant.
(paraphrased) "In the year 2050 humanity managed to solve deforestation. They did not solve their war problem."
You should upload your amazing designs to rebrickable or bricklink studio.
I'd love to see you build something like Iron Bear from the Borderlands games
The tree reminds me something that you would see in subnautica. but I wasn't expecting a tree to be a pilot for a exosuit 👍
The set comes with a Lego frog
sir mitch, do i wish to rebuild this in an online VR game called grab? its not going to be 1 to 1, and im gonna name him 'kelp.' do i have your permission?
3:31 You had the perfect opportunity to say, “And now to add some RIVETING details.”
Looks insane, great work :), also may i suggest miraidon from pokemon scarlet and violet out of legos [it’s a futuristic dragon]
Holy macaronis
Got MEGAS XLR vibes. If U don't know this crazy kinda 'old' cartoon, doesn't matter 😅 You should build this awesome mech with car instead of head!
Lego needs you.
Do a Bionicle dragon
Dear MitcheBuild, i dont know if you'll ever read this or not. But i've always fasinated with the usage of bone/skeleton moc. If ever you had the time to, can you please build one? Anyhow, love your vids and builds. Have a good day!
I envy your ability to even consider CCBS parts as viable shapes. I've only had 1 Bionicle set in my lifetime that I've sold because it just kept collecting dust and I couldn't use the pieces for MOCs. Seeing your videos makes me regret that.
Having a plant use a vehicle to carry it to resources is a project that some engineers like to work with, so this could exist one day in the future
Love these videos? I've always wondered if 3d printing would work for more cool parts? Or maybe use them to create plastic moulds?
This is what we get when we combine the Erdtree with a 1000- THR "Earthmover", Morgott would be proud.
You always surprise me with parts usage and how it all comes together, love it man!
