- After team owner Terry Pegula addressed the team in Montreal, the Buffalo Sabres put together another embarrassing performance and pushed their winless streak to 11.

Thank you Terry Poogoola for your motivational speech in Montreal to the Sabres. Your leadership as an owner speaks volumes of how you have castrated this team.
It's all going to plan. We bomb this season, see what spot we get in the draft and sell off Tage Thompson to watch him help a team win a cup in 1-2 years.

The sheer amount of players thriving after leaving the organization is proof enough. How can you expect making the playoffs without spending to the cap from time to time …
Also strictly on paper before the season even started it was obvious that the forward group was lacking, you can’t expect these guys to way over-perform every season.
In times like this it's hard to forget that the Sabres did not allow Eichel to get his broken neck fixed. They were nervous about the surgery, and decided he should do nothing instead. The team remembers that.
What do you expect? He said nothing was going to change, so it didn't.
You said the best comment the other day. Terry Pegula is surrounding himself with ex Sabres top to bottom.
They need to hire from outside the organization to make any differences.
By the way the Habs first goal deflected off the refs skate right to the Habs stick to be fair. However they showed nothing after that.

The team is too young. They got all these young draft picks, but didn't insulate them with solid vets to help show them the way through difficult times. Adams and Pegula basically gave the keys to the young guys, signing them to those long deals before even making the playoffs, and now they seem helpless. Lindy is not the problem. The composition of this roster is the problem. Sabres need to trade some of the young guys away to get some veteran leadership in that room.
No one wants to play in Buffalo or help right this ship tho not no ones coming to help them at all. Wouldn’t be surprised to see this streak get to the 20s.
I've never heard of an NHL roster that was constructed out of all top draft choices like the Sabres. 99 times out of 100 a team has almost all vets and they sprinkle in the youngsters. But not the Sabres, Pegula knows better!
The only caveat is it does no good to fire the GM during the season. Whether it is Adams or somebody else, it is not going to matter this season. If Pegula fires Adams the day after season ends and then goes on an external hire search to take the position before the draft, then it is possible something can be started to begin reversing this thing. If Pegula does keep him, ticket renewals and new sales for next year will plummet even more and he has to know that.
The owner said the right thing. It’s up to the players in the room to figure this out. It’s just unfortunate that they were up against a hungry and motivated Laine and the Canadiens.
I think they are going to win against Toronto as Toronto tends to play down to their competition and a turn around is going to start then.
I also think there is going to be some head office changes, but nothing drastic. They are probably going to bring in a veteran advisor to help Adams build this team and better relations around the league.
After that, the team should target veteran RD defensemen to help cover up the younger players mistakes on the back end, and veteran forward who can teach these team how to win.
They are still close. Ottawa was going through the same thing in November (albeit not as long) and found a way to turn it around. Buffalo can to.
Adams isnt allowed to spend to the cap. Not since Covid. They even came up with an organizational catch phrase: “economic and efficient”
Aube kubel starting the game after the gm flew to Montreal to meet with them, is a coach malpractice. Lindy ruff is no longer suited for the nhl. Also the caps got brother of lane, Cole hutson for aube kubel, Hutson looks like a rockstar

it won't be long now before opposing teams start their backup goalies against the sabres
and recall their entire ahl team up to rest the nhlers for the playoffs
Buffalos biggest mistake in the last decade was not drafting Leon draisaitle in the 2014 draft

Well, Beane and McDermott were given the keys to the castle and Pegula stays the fuck out of the way. Pegula will not spend the money to build a proper NHL front office. He surrounds himself with incompetent, unqualified ass-kissers like Adams.

You OBVIOUSLY did not watch the game. First goal was caused by puck HITTING THE REFEREES SKATE and going out front of the net instead of going around the boards where it was headed.

I actually like the Sabres and I hate seeing them go through this but I don't think Adams is ready to take this team in a new direction. His big off season move was trading Savoie for Mcleod when Edmonton needed to shed cap. I get it he doesn't want to send the next Sabre off to star in a new place but something isn't working.

I think the biggest problem is Pegula. I think he has handcuffed the GM, Coach and Players with his lack of willingness to give them resources to improve the team
Except Pegula with the Bills has shown he knows how to run a sports team to some consistent success. I am not what the problem is, except the front office has made poor personnel decisions.
I do maintain the flop for the McDavid/Eichel draft was the worst decision for the Sabres. It completely destroyed the team's culture and it has never recovered.
Did anyone really expect the old man millionaire owner of the team to provide any sort of good morale...? Especially when he also owns the bills, why would he gaf about the sabres... "Go get em gang, pull up your socks! Now f*** off i gotta go count my cash from the bills."

There are no low grade team in the playoffs. Any team in the playoffs is by definition better than 16 other teams. Last place teams. limping into the playoffs, have won the Cup. I don't have to mention the President Trophy winners playoff records.
Has a team owner ever made a difference speaking to their team? If he indeed said he believes in everyone, then how out of touch would he appear to a professional team who are playing poorly?
Dahlin has been injured which has looked obvious the past half dozen games. However they just suck. They weren't even losing very badly until Montreal game. But now it's 11. They suck. It's just reality.
We need to trade a young forward prospect and not sign anybody with a high asking price to get better. Lindy and Adams have it right lmao.

@brianjones7660 he's a 1st overall pick defenseman with size and offensive ability. I think he'll be ready to ask out very soon.
@@michaeljacobs7993 Size that he doesn't use.. He is the softest player on the team, and on this team, that's saying a lot... it's embarrassing. Oh, and not to mention he has zero defensive ability. Just one example, look at the last goal against Montreal. He was playing patty cake with UPL while he left the forward, totally alone, at the backdoor... zero excuse for that. Trade him now, while everyone is still fooled by his offensive numbers... Lastly, the cherry on top... he's the second highest paid player on the team.
@@billjones7817 a lot of teams gave up on big defenseman way too early. Chara and Pronger come to mind. And I know those guys were always more physical but they didn't have Power's offensive upside. I think Power needs more time to develop and have a solid partner to have his back, but right now the roster is a shambled mess.
