Hey Bert here’s a bit of a timeline:
Slater and Machado are the “Momentum Generation” (from the OG surf film Momentum).
The Irons boys (and JOB because of his age) are the “...Lost generation” (The films from ...Lost made them all ultra famous) & AI’s epic battles with Slater before the addiction took him from us.
The Florence brothers and Koa are the “Kale and Vegan generation” 😂
Slater (50) and JOB (39) are 11 years apart, as are JOB and Nathan(28). Three full generations of surf stories to be told.

Bert, you're great- I wish I could focus my scrambled brain to do what you do.... I grew up on the east coast of Canada and love salt water too; I love to watch surf content and believe I could do it, but have the same intimidation you describe. I loved your interviews with JOB, Nathan and Koa because you get answers us kooks want to hear but would never be able to ask. Thank you. I was glued to these ones. AWESOME!

The coolest Podcast. I'm a JOB fan boy for sure. I graduated HS is Hawaii and remember kill Haole day at school. Scary days, but when I got my first lifeguard job in Mililani Town Rec Center and surfed in town and the North Shore I became boys with more Hawaiian Ohana!
