Nobody should even care in the first place cause it is literally a costume. The fact that people *associate* personal animal mascot = terrible and animal abuser is just downright awful to me. All because of the reports on some actual criminals that happened to be associated. This is like with how people think clowns are scary now in general to this day cause there was one murderer who lured and killed people dressed as a clown. So people are going to generally not like something cause of that stuff... It's just really sad honestly in all.
for me don't care what people think. Before they added actaul furry stuff in a game called roblox I used a set of ears and a tail. Now I have a character in roblox with what looks like a full fursuit made from peices I found in the catalogue. No one should care what others think just because someone likes something.

The most confusing for him, he didn't bark but was confused, was a Quad suite that looked like a dog. But the number of services dogs anxious around suites like furry and mascot isn't all that uncommon. So it isn't that strange it doesn't make them fake.
There needs to be more "fursuiting at college", "fursuiting at the mall", "fursuiting at stores", etc. Maybe it's just me, but I haven't been seeing them that often anymore. Those are some of my favorite videos to watch, seeing people's reactions with fursuiters in public. Especially when they know what a furry is.

I'm a young fur who's also gonna be the president of my high school's mixed media design club this school year. My plan is to have my fursuit materials in my locker and work on my fursuit during club meetings to show people the creative positive side of the fandom. It's a pretty chill club where you just show up and work on your designs and share them and get feedback from other club members.
If there was ever a time to wear a fursuit publicly, it would be for Halloween I'm not even a furry but I can tell that wearing anything "odd" on a random day would cause too many questions; Halloween justs cuts the amount down

That's literally just the price of a fursuit head piece lol I got a quote to make mine for $150 from a custom suit maker. because I live where is hot & humid all the time (texas) so I wont do a full suit and suit maintenance is easier without a full suit to clean 😉 and as far as people being unkind towards us furries most already wont mess with me because of my size even though I'm a very friendly guy lol (6'5 300lbs & built like a bouncer lol) and the horse head peice puts me at around 7ft tall so I'm not that worried about being attacked or anything even though it does happen to us most people just talk behind our backs but that's ok no sweat I forgive them & maybe someday they'll understand and change their negative opinions. Til then keep calm and furry on
College is a much better environment for public suiting than a high school or a Walmart. Most people don't really care as much about what other college students do for fun.

Awesome! Overall it seems a very positive experience. Cool that you were able to meet another furry or two since that showed them the common connection. Don't take it personally if some people are afraid of mascots because it's a somewhat common phobia. A friend of mine is also a furry but he feels uneasy to see fursuits. My first few years of college I didn't even know about the existence of the furry fandom, and then I started using the internet for the first time (late 90s) and made a lot of friends in chat rooms, some of which were furries who introduced me to the artwork and photos of the fursuits.
Almost 4 years later and I can say that this video is the sole reason I realized that I wanted to be a part of the fandom. Was surprised to see UA-cam recommend it to me again

I wore my fursuit to work on Halloween myself. All of my coworkers loved it (except for one guy who had no reaction at all, so I don't know what he thought). Even the boss and company owner liked my fursuit, though the owner was a bit concerned about it getting caught in machinery. I wasn't, because I know my fursuit. If one of the handpaws were to get caught, it would either tear apart or just slide off my hand.
You have all my respect man: to have a love that some people consider "pervertion" and be able to just show yourself like that it's a demostration of how you are committed about your passion, not being aftraid about any judgment. As a drawer i think fursuits are a really special art, even just to wear it. Keep going man, I like that desing too

That's literally just the price of a fursuit head piece lol I got a quote to make mine for $150 from a custom suit maker. because I live where is hot & humid all the time (texas) so I wont do a full suit and suit maintenance is easier without a full suit to clean 😉 and as far as people being unkind towards us furries most already wont mess with me because of my size even though I'm a very friendly guy lol (6'5 300lbs & built like a bouncer lol) and the horse head peice puts me at around 7ft tall so I'm not that worried about being attacked or anything even though it does happen to us most people just talk behind our backs but that's ok no sweat I forgive them & maybe someday they'll understand and change their negative opinions. Til then keep calm and furry on

When I was younger I used to be terrified of mascots (as well as clowns and most costumes in general... still can't stand clowns, I'm cool with everything else but no clowns lol) and when I first discovered the furry fandom I was like "yep moving on I never want to look at that again-" and then a couple years later I find myself as a furry and my boyfriend is as well... And the funny thing is neither of us knew the other was a furry until after we started dating XD

Awesome! Overall it seems a very positive experience. Cool that you were able to meet another furry or two since that showed them the common connection. Don't take it personally if some people are afraid of mascots because it's a somewhat common phobia. A friend of mine is also a furry but he feels uneasy to see fursuits. My first few years of college I didn't even know about the existence of the furry fandom, and then I started using the internet for the first time (late 90s) and made a lot of friends in chat rooms, some of which were furries who introduced me to the artwork and photos of the fursuits.

I wore my fursuit to work on Halloween myself. All of my coworkers loved it (except for one guy who had no reaction at all, so I don't know what he thought). Even the boss and company owner liked my fursuit, though the owner was a bit concerned about it getting caught in machinery. I wasn't, because I know my fursuit. If one of the handpaws were to get caught, it would either tear apart or just slide off my hand.
You have all my respect man: to have a love that some people consider "pervertion" and be able to just show yourself like that it's a demostration of how you are committed about your passion, not being aftraid about any judgment.
As a drawer i think fursuits are a really special art, even just to wear it.
