This is better than many who do dog welds ... nor have I seen many I'm honest you were the best and here in Italy I have a technical laboratory where we repair everything. well done! 👍🏻
Thank you. I have seen solder wick used as well. I've never tried it but it should work also. I just happen to have a lot of cut component leads laying around from other projects.
Stellar repair , especially the way U use solder mask & cure with UV (not many folks bother to do that, on similar repairs) .. BTW, i believe the majority of HDMI encoder chips get fried, because most users don't know that HDMI doesn't support hot-swap, but they plug & unplug HDMI cables at will, while the consoles are still powered-on .. Cheers
@@ToltecMerc Many thanks for all your time & replies to my comments ... As mentioned, i truly hope your channel gets many more views & subscribers (well-deserved so) & Happy Holidays ...
Thanks for the help I was trying to clean mine and didnt have the torx bit so I thought it would be smarter to take it apart with force... Wrong choice. During the process I must've jogged the power supply badly. Luckily the flex cables werent messed up and I have a replacement coming in a week 😅 Love the video it gave me some stuff to look out for just in case I got it and it wasn't the fix New Sub!!
Hey just wanted to let you know did you key does sell those connectors in the exact same size and style both female and male. If you want I can email the link to you. A little known secret that people don't know about
Yeah I went to a place called UBreakIFix and that’s what they quoted me and I haven’t try anywhere else yet but I was thinking of doing it myself but I’m not sure what materials or tools I need and if I’m ready to do it myself
Hey I have this exact model but my problem is not the plastic connector. It’s the metal connectors right by it. One of them aren’t straight could it be the reason I’m getting the same problem as you are in the video? If so how would I straighten the metal rod?
question what is the green liquid you used to repair the pattern on the board? I have a ps4 pro where the power connector is located has been ripped off with green and its been a strain could you let me know when you have the time?
I have a missing component near this connector (on the opposite side of the board) NVA-001. The signal from southbridge (maybe not sure I'm guessing), goes through this resistor or inductor to pin 3 (acdc_stby) of the power supply. I get 4v with beep when I power on, on this pad but doesn't go to pin 3 because of the missing component. Can you help please. It's an 0201 or 0402 smd.
@@ToltecMercyes 10k is still there. 2.2k is missing. thankyou very much. I tried multiple sites for help but no response. Much appreciated in taking the time to help others. 🙏

Literally just about finished cleaning the cockroaches and dust out of my PS4 and went to take the power supply out and ripped the port out of the motherboard

@@ToltecMerc hey can you please help me with a repair on mine. I just accidentally pulled my connection off the motherboard
Great repair. Love the new ground points. I have seen some people actually use solder wick as a ground plain
Thank you. I have seen solder wick used as well. I've never tried it but it should work also. I just happen to have a lot of cut component leads laying around from other projects.
I am amazed how skilled some people are
Thank you very much!
great teardown. it was great seeing you do a little deductive problem solving at the end too, thanks for posting
Thanks for watching!
Nice repair! My customer broke his and haven’t done a ps4 pro yet so this will be fun

Thank you! I'm probably guilty as well of hot plugging and unplugging HDMI. Thanks for your comments!

Where you from i have the same problem. Whats it cost to repair that power thing?
Hey can you post a list of the tools and wire you used, please?

That would be helpful. I figured you would have to get straight from China.
@@ToltecMerc let me know how I can email you a link. I don't see it in the about section. And I don't think I can comment a link

This just happened to me just yesterday when I was cleaning and changing the thermal paste. I need help with repair please
How much would a job like this cost? I was quoted $450 bucks but I wasn’t paying that much or thinking it would be that much.
I would think closer to $100 but I suppose it varies depending on where you live.

what if the green part ripped off a little what should i do or how much would it be to fix it
how much would it cost to repair it😅

Those two metal forks are what carry the 12V to the board. You can simply take a pair of pliers and carefully bend them.

Solder Mask. Available in different colors.

I believe the resistor you need is a 2.2K. There is also a 10K connect to ground.

Do you think I can send you mine I ripped it too pls help
❤🎉Thanks❤🎉
Thank you for the visit! Come back soon!
it's better and safer to pull the cable by the power supply, than pulling it from the motherboard, just to be safe.
YO THIS SAME THING JUST HAPPENED TO ME 10 SECONDS AGO HOW DO I SEND THIS TO YOU AND HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?!?!?!? answer asap please

This is Sony's cheap design, poor quality for mass productions
