I saw a different method of using silk cocoons and see that spinning directly from the cocoons is something I’d like to try. I have a Mulberry tree and would like to try my hand at raising them for the silk.
Do you know how brocades are made? Weaving complex patterns with various dyed threads would be insanely expensive and yet I can´t see how a machine would do this.

Your mere existence is bound to kill something, especially with the amount of industrial production today. Animals die so we can have silk, leather and meat. Pesticides kill countless bugs and other small animals so we can have maximum grown produce. At least being boiled like this would be a quick death.
The adults have no mouth and starve to death within a week; just long enough to mate. As a pupae, they're likely only semi conscious. So which would you prefer? Semi conscious smothering, or fully alert starvation?

The white cocoon is foreign and the yellow cocoon is Bengali cocoon they’re both nature but different in variety perhaps
