So easy even a bricklayer with rough hands can do it. Thank you so much. Fixed my kids chrome book with your video… I had the same little black plastic piece stuck in mine as well… thanks again.
I have some problem with my laptop. The touchpad kinda frezzes in between and it does not moves also whenever I watch any videos on UA-cam it's getting skipped automatically even when I am not using touchpad. I tried disabling the touchpad and tried to connect external mouse but the problem still remain.also when I try to play any video in vlc the video plays for 1 second and then it restarts the same video and this continues. This is a recurring problem. What should I do. I tried every possible fix like updating drivers, external mouse but nothing seems to work
Thanks for your video. I fixed mine quickly with canned air. Just a couple of sprays around the edges of my track pad, and it's working great again. Fortunately, I didn't have to open it at all. So those with stuck or sticky track pads might want to try that first.
Great tips thanks. Had a scare with my Chromebook this morning. Was watching UA-cam when the screen went black but sound kept on playing. Wouldn't respond to the On/off button or keyboard but fortunately when I plugged in power supply I got it going again so probably low battery, though it had 12% showing. The one thing that REALLY bothers me about my Acer Chromebook is that the battery power indicator is tiny, and when it is low it goes red not white, so even harder to see. It would be so easy to have a pop-up like other laptops. I have told them about it but nothing changes.
I fixed the problem for myself by sliding a thin notecard into the small outline between the touchpad and the Chromebook and it moved whatever caused the touchpad to jam out and it works perfectly fine again.
Not saying its a great fix, but I was able to pry the touchpad about 1-2cm and then i blew on it. works great now. sure there is prob a piece of plastic but quick fix/workaround.
i hit my trackpad with a rugby ball and it works just fine lol edit : just because it worked for me, doesnt mean yall should be punching your laptops trackpad....
NO it just pushed both the sides of the touch ad in pls i crying if my mom and dad find out they will kill me since we dont have a lot money to fix things since we need to pay bills sorry if i sound rude im just stressed 😭
Mine is stuck down, and I tried to pry it up and it dented, and whenever I use it, it just zooms in out out, and the screen moves, and also my screen cracked, is it completely useless? It turns on, but is it worth trying to save ittt?
You can try reset the chrome OS and see if that would fix the issue. Press Esc + Refresh + Power button, then press Ctrl + D and hit Enter.. If this doesn't fix, you have to follow the steps shown in this video. If it's school or work provided chromebook, better bring it to IT people to fix the issue.. good luck
Bruh so i wacked the back of my computer to see if the pad would work now because my mom would get mad at me if she found I broke my computer and it worked Plz dont wack your computer just because mine worked tho
"It's pretty simple" **proceeds to take apart 30 components, put back together**

Worked! But therw were times it would stuck still but much better
A quicker method is cleaning the touchpad with wipes then u give it a decent punch from behind the pad (I used my phone) then done ur finished
We're behind?
Like under the paf
Pad
Yh
ill never do that lol- just hit the damn computer
question, which way lol
If anyone has this problem. Just get a suction cup and place it on the pad and pull. I used the suction cup from my shower scrub
Thanks, it worked great 👍

I took a piece of duck tape to touchpad and pulled it up quickly not aggressively, and that seemed to work
This helped! Thank you
How can you fix a trackpad that can only do right clicks?
Go thru the steps shown in the video and most likely that would fix the issue. Good luck!
the bottom of my laptop has no screws
make one for a dell chromebook

Same here.. not a technician.. just follow these steps only if you are confident about it! Do it at your own risk! Good luck!
