- 8/25/16: I had the chance to interview Todd Keissling from Dystopia, Mange, and Confrontation. I had been texting back and forth with him prior to this and thought it would be fun to do a live interview and he most graciously agreed. I was practically shaking. This was aired live on 88.9 FM KXLU in Los Angeles during DJ Resign's(Girl Pusher) set.
For all you Dystopia fans, I hope this is entertaining and enjoy!
Thank you,
Benno(S.I.D.) - Фільми й анімація

as a teen i was into hardcore and also doing graffiti. most of the time when hardcore or metal mixed with the aesthetics of hip hop or graffiti, it was super corny, but dystopia did it in a super sick way. just raw as fuck. after i discovered dystopia i felt very vindicated that there were similar people to me out there. even tho there were always punks doing graffiti, you'd still be the odd one out most of the time. nowadays it seems like every new beatdown hc band uses a throwup of their name(sunami being the prime example here, i see that merch everywhere on kids these days) as a logo, which is kinda dope, but makes me ponder if i will get sick of that trend evt. it's also just not the same. the dystopia artwork was just so unique.
real, as a punk beginner graffiti artist dystopia has the coolest throw-up band logo that ive sern these days
Hey y'all! Appreciate all the feedback! It's hard for me to listen to my voice, so I haven't been back on this video in a while. Anyways! I'd like y'all to know I'll soon be making physical copies of a zine that includes my interviews with Todd and Kicker as well as a few Southern California locals killing it in their music scenes. I still am on KXLU from time to time with DJ Resign(Jarrod Hine) so tune in on Thursdays from 12-3 on 88.9 FM! Hope to be back with more spoken interviews.
Wish you all the best!

One of the best 90's bands ever!
I worked with a guy who rented a room from him.
Todds a solid dude for real.
What a sick interview and insight into Dystopia. Also Carcinogen is fucking sick!
Damn I never knew he lived in Minneapolis! Super cool. I’m not too far from there. Dystopia is one of my all time favorite bands.
this is fucking dope as shit, god bless you benno 🙌
Todd’s bass playing is amazing
Anyone perhaps know what bass he used during dystopia (the one thats in this pic)?
Dystopia cool good people
fuck yeah
Pool party baby
What is Todd's email?
Is he wearing a Headache t-shirt?? Insane band.
Why does everyone always leave out Confrontation?!? They were as good as anything to ever come out of O.C.
Anyone got a link to any of mange's stuff? I've been looking all over the place and all I can find is a pv band from 2020
Damnn i just looked them up on UA-cam there used to be a full album from them uploaded. I’ll see if i can find it somewhere
Nevermind, wasnt too hard to find. I guess that original video got deleted though. Here’s all three of their releases
