Nikhil has a gift of asking questions that a layman would. I see him asking questions that he probably knows the answers to but still asks them so that someone uninformed watching would know the answer as well. Wish more podcasters had this ability.
absolutely , I remember giving presentations in my office and a very senior colleague would ask very basic questions and it would be puzzling, its only after few months i understood its not for him its for the general majority who would attend those meeting, knowing very well they would be too embarassed to ask these in public forum but if not clarified will make the whole exercise pointless.
Excellent conversation and knowledge being shared. I am surprised that startup heads are open to answering such detailed questions about their operations! Very impressive! All the best to the channel & the conpanies being showcased!
BluSmart will be a big nationwide player soon. In NCR, they have knocked it out of the park with convenience and the quality of drivers. They are always booked up.
Great insights! I would say let him expand his definitions to the core of business workings and please invite more CEOs to learn firsthand workings of the real businesses.
Nikhil is way too smart in the room. He is gonna leave behind Joe Rogan. The questions he asks simply tells the very good presence of mind and very high intelligence. All questions are absolutely relevant. Only one thing I want for you. You should have kids. Intelligent people should have kids.
And after kids leave everything which excites him, and be donkey like all of us. There are enough intelligent populations. Intelligent and having a mindset are two different aspects of life.

HI nikhil this was one most sought after video as theres a lot of kowledge of IREDA, or EESL or SIDBI which are financing Renewable energy projects. May be you can line up a Solar company too like Gensol which is into Solar business as well and they too work as an SPV, they secure funds from IREDA , SIDBI etc and then work in multiple models like CAPEX , OPEX,
Nikil, you really doing great job by providing platform for people share their experience…. Meantime if you allow them speak completely it would be a chance to them to share complete information
Just my 2 cents on the details of the Blusmart Fleet logistics: Most businesses are built on debt so Blusmart is putting 2 lakhs as cash to get the vehicle and then loan of 11,00,000/- on sub 10% interest rate which is quite low for the economics to work and enable them to pay EMI with the car usage on the daily basis. Blusmart cost economics -> Cars charges around 15/16 bucks per km while the operation cost is just 2 rs per km. Loan amount of 11,00,000/- for 5 years at 10% interest rate comes out to be around 23,000/- monthly EMI. Given that cars are driven for 200*30 = 6000 kms every month so cost per km comes out to be another 4 Rs. So, excluding driver and maintenance cost, business seems to have quite high EBIDTA assuming that the 2 rs per km was for charging operation cost. Bottleneck - the cost of charging infra upfront is costly and difficult to create in the first place. It would have difficult for the business economics to work in 2 situations - either Blusmart had to pay full amount to acquire the cars or the loan interest rate is upwards of 18% hurting the EBIDTA.
My Friend is doing a similar business in Guwahati Assam, With some 50 odd cars till now. Is profitable as Guwahati Assam is the connecting point for the whole north and gives each car probably 260-270 kms a day. The brand name is Smarto.
He was not going technical, he was literally answering every question but was interrupted incessantly to answer new question/queries in the middle. So yeah he was not able to complete his sentences which probably looked like going round and round to you.
Mai blu smart mai driver hu . Blu smart customer k liye sabse best option hai lekin hum driver k liye to ye job ek bandhia majdoor jaisi ho gai . Koi sunvaai nahi Naa hi koi sunne wala hai aap business ki kitne aachi aachi baat kar rahe . Shayad itni care apne drivers ki bhi karte to Puri imandaari se hum apni blu smart company ko sport karte . Company ko aage badane k chakkar k mai kahi aap apne drivers ko Naa kho de
Charging infra is also profitable uptil a certain point, it would eventually require access to multiple types of charging, compatible for all cars or else scaling the model would be difficult.
It’s super annoying how you are constantly interrupting the other person. At least let him finish what he is saying. You are asking to ask again, not to listen. Which doesn’t come off right. I think you should watch Ranveer Allahbadia hosting people and asking questions.
Can you spend some time in fixing zerodha app and web issues making retailers loose money. We will stop using zerodha and jump to some other client if this streak of issues continues
Focus on html/structure of the code. More than CSS. Trust me. It will be a better foundation and if foundation is better than building a building will be easy. Bluesmart
If I were the Blustart exec answering questions I would slap the interviewer silly to remind him that a question needs to be given time to answer.. or is this the impression from a hyper edited video? Good topic.. really poor Q&A style that didn't get into the cost and profit model in any detail.
For those saying the host shouldn’t interrupt, the point is not to get the full answer. You go into a VC round, the bare minimum that a VC would do is a background check to understand the person or people behind the brand. The host was trying to understand the level of clarity that the Blu smart team has with their vision. That is what you invest in.

Also he is so rich... nobody denies him easily...
I think that comes because he is also an investor and hence tries to understand the business model inside out

yaa its only because they are damn sure that no one is going to take the initiative and those who will can anyway find it out
Stop interrupting the guest man
Why does nikhil interrupt so much?
Nikhil really needs to stop interrupting. Punit couldn't finish even 1 point before getting interrupted.

Why does the host have to interrupt with a tangential question before he gets an answer? Such a difficult podcast to listen to.

Smartest people in the country EV market. No clue on the costs
Nikhil should wait for the other person to finish their sentences imo, he is a great conversationalist but homie chill let other people speak.
