- "What Richard imparted to me, primarily, was nothing less than how to live."
Actor Robert Sean Leonard, known for his roles in Dead Poet's Society, the TV series House, HBO's Gilded Age, and stellar Broadway career, reflects on his experiences working with Richard Easton, a renowned theater actor and even shares a great story about his friend Ethan Hawke. Leonard admires Easton's exceptional preparation, recalling how he would come to rehearsals already fully memorized and ready to dive into the scenes. Easton's deep understanding of his characters and the text allowed him to bring authenticity and depth to his performances. Leonard also shares a transformative moment at a barbecue where Easton imparted wisdom about the true value of life and the importance of meaningful connections and experiences over superficial achievements. Despite Easton's reluctance to get sentimental, Leonard acknowledges the profound impact Easton had on him, teaching him invaluable lessons about how to live a fulfilling life.
The Lucky Ones brings to life those we’ve lost in short video vignettes, creating a biographical profile of the special bond shared between two people. At The Lucky Ones, people from all walks of life can celebrate that special someone through the telling of wonderfully sweet stories filled with love, humor, and memories.

I have loved Robert Sean Leonard since "Dead Poets Society"! He seems like a really nice guy, besides being a wonderful actor.💕

I love Robert Sean Leonard. I first saw him in Dead Poets Society and has always been one of my favorite actors since then!
Me, too!😊
Binge rewatching "House" - they are an incredible double act. 2.25 says it all really.
Long-time admirer of this dear thespian Robert Sean Leonard way before House, My Best Friend's A Vampire!❤❤❤❤
He's always been a legend!
@@luckyonestv like of course!
i've seen almost all his movies, recently started house md and have to say neil came a long long way, always so wonderful!!
That explains a lot, i got to know him through House. And i looked up his early project and those were impressive. I was wondering he could be way bigger star because he is talented, not to mention he is so good looking and already in a spotlight in a young age. But i guess life has a way, he seems like a very grounded humble man whom very content with life. Fame can change human into their worst version, glad what Richard said to him did not fall into deaf ear.
I always wondered why Robert wasn't as popular or as famous as he could have been and now I know why
He's a class act of a man, that's for sure.
He’s such a gentle speaker
Wilson ❤
Feels stupid to be a fan of and feel like I know a character more than the extremely talented guy bringing him to life. But RSL did *such* a good job on House giving us Wilson. The friend everyone wishes they have.
I had the lucky pleasure of seeing Easton and Leonard on B'way in 2001, in THE INVENTION OF LOVE. It was as RSL describes and remembers and animates. The two played against and with, opposite and for, one another. It was theatre and language and dazzling. I wondered how they did it. Thanks to this interview, it's a bit clearer.
Thank you Charles!
OMG he is the bestttt!! He is the most cutest and handsomest guy ever! So great to hear from him:)The best actor of all times!!!!
dead poet's society. rip robin
Truly a once in a generation talent!
What a fantastic actor he is….I saw three films he is cast in…Goossssh…Robert Sean Leonard is adorable! A theater actually more of a theater actor than a movie actor actually…and he still is handsome!
I literally looked for an RSL interview to see what's up with him these days cause I loved the goofy chemistry bw House and Wilson. I miss that sometimes.
Dead Poets Society was one of the first movies I ever watched in a movie theater. I was a tween or very young teen, and I absolutely fell in love with it.
And with Ethan, Robert, the story... I can't say how many times I've watched it since. Probably 10, 15 times. I also introduced my only daughter to it.
Then I absolutely loved (and still love) House and Robert became almost part of the family, being there with us for 8 years as Wilson.
Dead Poet's Society and Swing Kids were extremely impactful films for me and remain some of my all time favorites. Fell down a rabbit hole recently and found a video that the 'boys' from DPS filmed on a day trip to NYC to audition for another film while filming DPS and it made me think. .. . but whatever happened to 'the guy who played Neil'? I had this moment of feeling sad that Ethan seemed to have had a more 'successful' run than him. . . . . and then I had the thought, but maybe it ended up being a good thing, who knows? Perhaps he had a much better and more fulfilled life than if he had become the Hollywood hotshot I was sure he would become when I was an enthralled college student watching him back in the day. So, I am extremely grateful to the algorithms that be for delivering this jewel of an interview to me. Life is what happens while we're busy making other plans. Cheers to you Robert for living your life with that knowledge and missing exactly none of it.

I hope he have a great life! Bye Dr Wilson
You can see him on the HBO show Gilded Age.
❤ Robert, you left a life lasting impression with me during Dead Poets! Especially toward the very end, I felt as that is who you were. Guilded Age was heart felt to see you back somewhere, and now to discover The Lucky Ones! Your episode today, confirms what I felt and saw during Dead Poets! What a gift to see you, hear you and know what a difference you make in so many lives! Thank you Always!! ❤
This comment did not make us cry, we promise. Yep 😅
How nice to see a new footage of RSL. I wish him the best. He's a great actor.
Oh, Bob ol’ boy. To see his legendary career on the stage is amazing, considering the first time I ever saw his work was on a little 1998 movie called Ground Control where he was a cocky air traffic controller. Boy was I in for a surprise with the rest of his work.
Right!? Such a nuanced performer.
Wow, caught this after looking up the cast of Dead Poets Society and I didn't expect to see such an insightful and open conversation. Thanks
I remember the first thing I ever saw him in, My Bestfriend is a Vampire
a classic!
Wonderful tribute and wise words from an old friend. You never know how these can change you . Great stuff !
Glad you enjoyed it
I loved this. So erudite and sensitive. Incredibly handsome still.
That talented AND that handsome? It's not fair.
Be not afraid!
hahahahahaha
I saw "A Life Well lives" in the title and franticly looked Robert Sean Leonard up because I thought he died. Dont Scare me like that!
All I can hear is House bickering at him... 😂🤣 Update; No offense, he's a great actor. But I'm just so used to him talking (or complaining) to House all the time. I mean, they were friends. 🤣
Beautiful.
As he ages, Robert Sean has become handsome like Jack Paar handsome.
We can see that!
Damn this was actually really good! Thanks for this.
Amazing interview! Lovely RSL 💚

Forever Wilson to us as well!
@@luckyonestv he is brilliant in every role he plays but Wilson just stucked with me .
That photo from King Lear at the Globe had a credit by Ken Howard. I am assuming that was Ken Howard the actor.
It’s just a coincidence.
He looks like Peter Falk here :)
We DEFINITELY see that!
Neil Perry???
Heyyyy, There's everyone's favourite oncologist
what this guy isn't telling you, is that he is ... a vampire!!
shhhh!!! Don't let the cat out of the bag.
❤
when was this interview?
We filmed Robert in July of 2023. Hope you enjoyed.
thats amazing thank you!@@luckyonestv
We did the interview on his middle school stage. Seemed appropriate, it was the first stage he ever performed on. We shoot it mid July this year. 🎥

@@luckyonestv thats so cute 😭😭 im happy to see him doing well
he got so old.. it pains me.. though its inevitable
he’s still aging like fine wine
I thought this guy died of thyroid cancer a number of years ago. Guess I was wrong.
His character on House definitely died but the real man is still thriving!
Robert Sean Leonard... is this a new case of yours Willson?
- Ohh... shut up House.
😂
Check out this little short from Robert's interview
