As a Tuono owner definitely agree with your advice about getting into track days. I did my first few track days on a panigale 959 and that was more than enough power while I was using all my brain power focusing on learning the track, braking points, gears for each corner etc.
Coming from a Tuono Factory to test ride the 1100cc RSVR factory. And the super bike is so much composed and easier to ride fast. But it is the Tuono which gives more smile per mile 😆✊🏻
I’ve had every super bike on the market inc 2 Kawasaki ninja H2 supercharged bikes and the tuono is every bit the perfect bike it’s insane!!!!! I don’t normally keep a bike longer than a year as I get bored but the aprilia I bought new 2018 and still own it ! Longest bike I’ve ever owned!!! 👏👏👏👍👍👍👍

Man that track looks amazing! Something about those elevation changes is just so good. It sure makes the throttle work a little more complicated without TC, but it's super fun. Also, Yams is just killin' it!
Aprilia's perform just like the way they sound . They are way faster than u would thought about them . R1 and aprilia v4 sounds almost same and performs same as well
Lol yes the Tuono is considered a Hooligan bike in Canada too. They've been selling them by the boatload for the past 2-3 years in my area. Up there with the MT09.
Track days look so fun. To bad I wont be riding for a long while... accident exiting a free way resulted in a broken tibia and getting all my gear cut off🤣 wont have the money let alone the strength to ride for a long while thankful to be alive though🙌
The only downside in Tuono V4 1100 (with Aprila race map and Akra, some 180+ hp) I have discovered is that it has so much oomph that there's not enough grip in a cool (7 C°) weather. Waiting for the summer...
If you ride super sports and jump on a tuono you’ll think it’s a naked. I never rode a naked bike before, got a 22mt10, crashed it and got a 21 tuono now. It’s definitely a naked when you ride on the highway.
I got mine a year ago and i'm pretty sure that the TRACK mode is the smoother of the 3 and if you combine it with the ASC A1 suspension mode, you get throttle control that give you the impression of never having the full power. In fact the bike give you all it can without losing traction or lifting the front wheel. if you want raw power for fun go for the SPORT mode with ASC A3 suspension mode that way you get the less help. But if you want something smooth and easy and fast with no surprise and less engine break use the TRACK mode with ASC A1. In all case please DISABLE THE WHEELIE CONTROL!! this thing is jus anoying for nothing and cut all power for even the smallest bump. btw be careful with the ABS : the mode ABS 1 disable the rear abs and can surprise you. Anyway stay safe out there boys!

The noise, like everyone says, is 100% addicting and when rev’d up sounds like it’s going to take flight lol. Really enjoy the looks people on the road give too as they hear it coming or at a light. The problem is the turning radius of the bike which shows its the same chassis from rsv4 not a bespoke naked bike. My bike is an old model (2012) & lots electronic stuff is missing. always bring me smile when im twist the throttle.I love my Toothless Tuono.

It takes some miles to get use to the power I've got 6000 miles on mine with four full track days and I'm in love. I sold my Daytona 675 because it seemed like a 300 after getting use to the Aprilia.

I just got a 2018 Tuono .... and wow does it sound MEAN!!! People are legit scared at a red light. It's definetly OP for the streets, but nobody will mess with you.... except a ZH2 :D
What track day org is that? They don't require removing mirrors and taping up brake lights and things? I wish the orgs near us were like that, just ride what you brought.... As for the power, I did a slipon and a tune, and we were getting 165hp at the wheel... Which means it has to be well over 185hp at the crank, probably closer to 190...
Id like to hear it with the toast exhaust . I rode one on demo days . instructor asked if i wanted to go with the fast group or the slow group . usually they dont let ya go more then 50mph but i was doing mabe 120 in 2nd gear tryn to keep up with him

It pulls but smoothly not like a ducati hard. Aprilia's v4 engine has been built to be ridden fast effortlessly. I've owned two rsv4 rf models and will always be my 1st choice road and track.
I test rode the 2018 the other day. It is an amazing machine to ride. The only issue I had was getting the kick stand down after the ride. I am 5'4" and I couldn't get the stand down easily. Having the foot peg in the way was not helping. It also had GP shifting which took a minute to get used to. I guess the previous owner tracked it and had the upshifts and downshifts reversed. If there was a dealer where I live, I may have considered buying it.
In 2024 this is still so relevant! The RSV4 engine is the best on all levels, but that sound is so MOTOGP. Best sound of all the road bikes in the world!
I have a GSXR and mainly ride in London. It’s too much and encourages me to go fast. I want a Tuono but evidently I’m not really solving my dilemma! But that soundtrack 🤤

This ain't NO BODIES 1st time/beginner anything bike! The SV650 (owner of) is the undisputed best beginner track bike. How did you have the suspension set; was in manual mode where set the damping preload or was it adjusting itself as you rode? Is this really worth the $5K-$6K more vs. the base Tuono or would the base Tuono w/manual Öhlins road & track suspension and carbon fiber wheels a better waste of $ for a little less? I think the SC Project can sounds better.
It would make for some exciting content but you really should pull some fluid out of the brake reservoir before it sends you over the handlebars on a hot day.

Thought about it but in the end I settled on MY19 RSV4 1100 - that thing is nuts and it sounds even more brutal then the Tuono

It's most likely a naked bike since there isn't any class it would fit in completely.

I add a Tuono v4 1000, after that a 1100 Factory. The problem is you can't buy anything after thooses bike everything seems to sucks hard
I believe with that exhaust and tune to match it makes 185-188 hp. Fantastic video!

Yes, and the Ducati V4 doesn't even sound as good, the streetfighter comes a bit close but Aprilia still sounds really best.

That Tuono has an Akra slip on with a remapped ECU and BrenTune download. We dyno tuned it to about 190bhp.

Yea all the power and pull you feel is because of the v4 setup. Always feels better than the inline 4's. Most vtek motors are really bruisers
