@daveysdash Thanks. Welcome to the channel. I hope you like my videos. I'm working on more adventures now. I see you have quite a few adventures, too. Im checking out one now.
Steve! I love the video. The lake trout was an awesome breakfast for us, thanks again. Did you end up getting to any lakes north of there? We never did get to the falls. We never made it to the falls. Wound up just headed home dreading the long drive haha
@@caseyrowe1520 A local told me that the other lakes would be as hard to get into as Saymo was to get out of, so I didn't try. I might try that route in the spring with higher water. Sorry you missed the falls. The upper ones are amazing. Let me know if you get to watch the Flack Lake video.
Did this loop in May this year. Worst bugs I have seen in years. What were the water levels like? We watched them go down a few inches. Also got wind bound on Gong for 2 days. We had to clear a lot of portages as well. Also lost my good fillet knife in the Aubinidong, just below the canyon camp site.
@davidcook7008 I think spring is a better season for this loop than with the shallow waters I encountered in July. I couldn't even get to the portage out of Seymo. Wish I could have made it to Gong. Maybe next time. Sorry about your knife. It is always painful to lose a prized piece of equipment. Sounds like you had a good adventure though. Thanks for watching mine.
@@p3outdoors portage between Seymo to Gong is crazy, just over 2 km but it is along an unmaintained road. you can actually drive up to Gong and put in on the south west corner. The paddle across is really nice. The portage to Gong Creek is not too bad, only about 900 meters and easy to follow. I had a bear encounter there I was not too happy with! The rest of the route is along the Aubinidong West. Lots and lots of portages and wading. Not many camp sites.
Spielberg quality footage of the ruggedly beautiful Canadian waterways with a heart touching tribute to a beloved brother. One of your best yet!
Thank you so much for watching and your nice compliment. Glad you enjoyed it.
Another excellent video done with professional quality. ❤
Thank you very much!
Thank you Steven! Dad would have loved that trip with you! Now he gets to see those beautiful views for eternity.
@sallimorrow2366 you're welcome. Thanks for watching. I'm sure he would have liked it too.
Nice shots!
