I am literally obsessed with them, my daughter introduced their music to me while visiting from Italy, and I just can't get enough of them, so talented, and so deep for their tender age
The album's called "Theatre of Wrath" (Teatro d'ira), because they're venting about all the people who kept (and still keep) telling them they were doing the wrong thing because... because they're too rock for the Italian market, but they're not rock enough for the rockers, and they're too "arrogant", but they're too young, and they're too mainstream and went on the X Factor, but they're too self-assured because they do their thing... So, "fear of the dark" is the fear of the unknown, of going their own way while everybody else is too afraid to leave the usual track. But screw them, they're not afraid. This band is really at its best live, but unfortunately you'd have to go much further back to see what they're really like with an audience; because (as you see in this video) the few recent performances you can find are social-distanced.
I have to say that most of their stuff before theatro d'ira is a bit too soft for my tastes (though there are exceptions like moriro da re) but theatro d'ira fits. So I hope they continue forward with the rockiness they have on theatro d'ira
@@Sayu277 I actually enjoy the fact that they experiment so much. They're criticised (among the other things) for being too similar to old school bands (funnily enough, by the same people who deny they can be considered in the same genre as those bands), but they've really ranged a lot with their first album; and I suppose they'll keep ranging, because that's the real breakthrough between them and most other musicians: they do their thing. I personally think that big hits like Torna a Casa are a little "juvenile", but screw that, they were 17-19 when they released it. May they try all the stuff, old and new, as inspiration strikes them. No matter what they do, they're still great performers anyway.
@@pirimpallopirimpalli4932 I never said anything against experimentation! I only said that overall the songs on the older albums are bit too soft for me . Even at and above the level of rockyness/hardness that theatro d'ira is at there's so much different music to be made and found and so much experimentation possible without going much softer again in the overall sound. My favourite bands in the world experiment heavily and have done so for years.
You crack me up Qofy! I am so happy you are reacting to so much Maneskin! I feel an obsession brewing with this group, too! This group is damn sexy! The confidence and talent are such a huge turn on! They entertain and are extremely talented! Thanks for doing these reactions!
Yessss! Thank you for that! And for this one I felt you understood the song. It is so much better to read the translations and hearing the song at the same time. I love this song very much. Thank you again for your reaction ❤

zitti e buoni and i wanna be your slave are actually completely seperate songs, it's just they did it as a live online concert so it was performed one after the other if that makes sense
I like so much your reactions at these guys bro, you have already hear zitti e buoni but i hope in an your reaction at the version of eurovision final, much emotional!
Hang on now Sweetpea. "I Wanna Be Your Slave" and "Zitti E Buoni" are two different songs. They just made one video including both while recording at their home studio. Also, guess who Damiano shares his January 8th birthday with? 1. Elvis Presley 2. David Bowie Magical date for legendary rockers, ay? When I first heard Damiano sing, I heard a little Freddie (Mercury) and a little Eddie (Vedder) from Pearl Jam. FAB!
Hey bro your reaction are great because you really mean it and are really able to put one after one all the songs in a painting to have the whole Maneskin picture
What a nice reaction video! You are so much fun to watch! Where are you reacting from? I'm typing from Brussels, Belgium. I just wonder how far and wide Maneskin is tickling the interest of people :)
Masterpieces hitting your heart: CORALINE and VENT'ANNI are a MUST by watching their video translation and reading the lyrics line by line; TORNA A CASA, the Official video is a work of art itself. Some of theirs beating your body: "For Your Love", "New Song", "Morirò da re", "Fear for Nobody", "Le parole lontane", "Close to the Top" "In nome del padre", Chosen", "Lividi sui gomiti" , "Beggin" p.s. Please no reactions to any song from the Berlin 2021 concert due to technical issues, bad sound.

I don't know why people continues to suggest this live version. Its bad. The singer goes out of breathe in both refrains and the bass goes out tune in the penultimate bridge. It is a difficult song, they must work more on this.
You're right, but perfection is not always more beautiful. In this version there is a lot of emotion, in this other version it seems to me there are fewer problems, but ... ua-cam.com/video/XD_iA7JWAew/v-deo.html
@@clelia7820 Yes, that's sound better, albeit the breathe still goes out. But this is something the singer know well about him ("nel nome del padre"). I've heard "lividi sui gomiti" official live in Poland before its deletion. Was an amazing performance. It seem way more "easy" to play than this.
@@fenerkropotz9879 In my opinion, it is not a problem of breath. We know that Damiano has a lot of it. This song is very tough, almost acrobatic and, if Damiano gets lost himself in the interpretation (I think he feels it a lot) it becomes easy to make mistakes. I hope what I wrote is understandable, but it was quite difficult for me to translate what I think is the problem into English.
@@clelia7820 I understand, your English is fine. Don't worry, I think the guy is smart enough to learn from some pitfall. About your question, the issue is that microphones sometime have the noise gate inserted. The gate need a sound pressure threshold to open otherwise no sound is gathered. This prevent sounds on stage to enter the mike. If you went short on breathe you cannot have the due pressure, the gate does quit and no sound is heard.
