2. ASMR - Relaxing Academic Advisor Role-Play [soft-spoken/whisper]
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 вер 2024
- I role-play a graduate advisor/tutor/supervisor and show you some books I think you should read! Also, I'm wearing my scarf as Maria taught in her video! I also write a little, speak with an accent (I think), and say some jargon (from Literary Theory) and some words in different languages. I bring some background and details on each book.
The word "advisor" may be confusing and change meaning from country to country. This is what I mean: en.wikipedia.or...
Sometimes I shift from soft speaking to whisper and back. I'm sorry, I'm still new to this and don't know my own voice very well!
I decided to include some of the interruptions so as to give a more accurate representation of a real meeting with your advisor! =P

(If you arrived here via ways other than the ASMR community, know that ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, and that this video is meant for relaxation only, and is not truly academic.)
I created this video with the UA-cam Video Editor ( / editor )
9 years on this is still probably my favorite ASMR video. If you see this, I hope you're doing well. :)
this is my favorite asmr video of all time. Come back to us!
I've just posted another one
I have no idea if you read these comments anymore, but I'd like to tell you that I first watched this video when I was around 12. Naturally it was my first time ever hearing of Derrida - but your video captivated me so much that I believed it was imperative that I read Of Grammatology at some point. I had a feeling just from your video I would really enjoy the book when I was ready. I kept that in the back of my head all the way through college. As I get ready to embark on graduate studies in literature, I am finally there. It is really rewarding to read a book I've so anticipated for so long. And when it was time to read the Odyssey, I went with Rieu's translation. So in a way, you've been one of my academic advisors for quite some time ❤
This video totally takes me back to my college years at the School of Languages at UNC... Congrats! It's great. Reminds me of the Linguistic and Discourse Analysis courses I took when I was younger. Great idea to include references for the material you described.
I could die. This is so good. Your voice is absolutely perfect. And the "tuh" sound you make every now and then when you breathe... Chills. Love it.
I was laughing at first because you play such a convincing Adviser, but right after that the tingles set in. Great job. Love the soothing voice and your scarf was an excellent choice because it sets off a warm and fuzzy vibe.
This is spot on, thank you! You have to do another one like this.
I so agree with lsiehl803x. Your videos are some of the best ever. Please come back.
I have finished my Master's, but I did research that during my MA and plan to keep at it in my PhD.
this was a great video, the background info on the books was also really interesting, would love to hear more about this sort of subject in your next video!
No one knows what it means, but it's provocative. It gets people going. -SMR
Acho q um dos primeiros asmr BR que tinha visto anos atrás
Great video! Would love to see you do some more roleplay vids like this.
This is actually an excellent video in terms of content, too.
Great work, man.
Homer's Greek is indeed very complicated and 'primitive' (if you could put it that way), as a Modern Greek I can barely understand a sentence here and there, it's even hard for Greek Philologists to read.
"HI THERE. Will you please whisper?" Haha, really enjoyed it! Subbed.
Your relaxing voice + your handsome face = ASMR heaven *subscribed!* And, you have very nice hands which makes it even more relaxing! I love your accent, too! Aaaah! I love everyhting, to be honest! You should definitely make a relaxing hands video, man! =]
You kind of sound like christoph waltz. Love it!!
Eighty-page preface? Fuck that, man.
Good video! Very relaxing.

I've just found yours and I love them! I had to subscribe.
I love your accent most of all! Where are you from! 😄
I believe he's from Brazil.
Geez, you're handsome! I love Brazilian accents, make your videos great! Keep up the good work :)
you are awesome
Is there any way to raise my grades? I’d do anything for a 4.0. Is there some kind of a trade we can make?
If Tony Curran and Richard Armitage had a child you'd be it. Youre very pretty.
I'm Brazilian! Can't you tell? What do I sound like?
I get Cray-SMR from this, am I right?
You are adorable. Nuff said.
What is it? now I wanna know!
Why do they have to whisper, I cannot even hear them..
