Do people hate him or do they hate that we traded multiple high-level prospects from our already thin farm system for a 33 year old 2 1/2 month rental who gives up hella runs? We can all read a box score bro everyone knows he has good strikeout potential. This dude gets hit, a ton. We got roasted nationally for a reason
Sad I missed it. Saw the first two batters and I was all "First start in a new city? I don't want to watch this happen to the poor guy," and switched over to something else. Though maybe I was jinxing him and it's better that I didn't watch the rest of the game...
Amazing that a veteran like Yusei comes to our organization and immediately makes improvements simply by using more changeups in certain situations. Just this year, Blanco has benefited, Hunter Brown with his new sinker has become a force, Pressly has been using a changeup/sinker more often in the past couple years. Arm side run getting it done for the Astros. Maybe this trade is going to pay off. At least for the rest of this year.
I thought the Kikuchi move was decent/good, he pitched well vs the Astros....we have a surplus of outfielders. Still have a surplus once King Tuck is back (and uhhh, were payin him right? LOL) I liked Loperfido, but once again...surplus. If we lose Bregman or Tucker, then we can look back on this trade and think why trade away the replacement prospects. For now though, we needed another arm.... Its a business, anyone bashing on Dana for doing what needed to be done doesn't have a clue. GJ tonite Yusei.
Will you thought wrong. We gave up multiple high-level prospects for a 33-year-old rental who gets rocked. He has high strikeout potential, he also gives up hella runs LOL I'm glad he had a good game, but if he doesn't do this game in game out on the way to a world series then it was a bad trade.
Kikuchi was burning water to start off but found the right ingredients and started cooking Teriyaki Chicken soon after. 11ks not bad that the most strikeouts of any starter all season. Also on the 4th Astros pitcher to have 8 consecutive strikeouts right behind JV who was 3rd to do it back in 2022 against the Phillies. He made history tonight. Welcome to HTown 🤘🏿🤘🏿💯🫡
Joe Espada is not a great manager. He should have walked the man to 1st to open up a double play for Pressley. Makes me wonder if Pressley took it into his own hands.
Seeing Yusei play like that and silence the misdirected hate made me so happy.

@@cheyenne11114 I said misdirected hate for a reason. Be mad at Dana for that, not Kikuchi.
Yusei was sensational tonight. How better to quiet couch GMs like myself than by tying the franchise record for strikeouts in a row? 😅

Still not worth what we gave up
@@luisarechiga6335 I agree but if they win the WS somehow and he does like Montgomery did for Texas last year, then I will take it.
@@quigonkennyy’all not real fans, stay on the couch 🛋️
Heck of a 1st start for Kikuchi once he got settle in. Let's Go Stros!!
So close to setting a new record but what a debut, didn’t see that coming, keep it up
Real good gritty win tonight! Yusei settled in real nice! Let’s catch another heat streak and put some distance on the mariners! 🤘🏾💪🏾❤️
Yordan looked so athletic on that slide home. Crazy considering how damn big he is.
Hope Kikuchi keeps this up! #WeWantKuchi
I want Kuchi too
😂😂😂
Go Astros 🎉

Ganbatte from Hiroshima, Kikuchi! Awesome job!
And most of those strike outs were swinging, but like half swings and putter swings. Yusei got some nasty stuff.
Excellent pitching tonight!
Let’s go astros
Yusei did great but i still cry whenever i see joey in a blue jays jersey
F crybaby😢 looper
LET'S GO YUSEI
Excellent work, Mr. Kikuchi 👏
Astros fans not so mad about the trade now lol
Trade still sucked because of how much we gave up 🤷🏽♂️ no hate toward kuchi
@@screwheadtx3658We really should’ve gotten 2 players.
Incredible start for Yusei. Astros need all the pitching help they can get. Thank God Montero is gone 🙏
Thank you, Blue Jays
Great start KK. The big man can run!
Yusei grit to bounce back from that 1st inning is remarkable. He got the worst out early and he’s going to get locked in watch
Yordan stealing home for the game winning run is Golden! Go ASTROS
Wow, Hader is on a freaking roll.
That was like a video game start when your team trades you and you’re like look wtf I can do 😂😂😂
Bro was shit in the first then decided to lock tf in.
Kikuchi was the best tonight
I gotta admit he was great...I support all Astros...
Dana Brown now accepting apologies
Love it.

GJ tonite Yusei.
Could've just traded cabbage and the pitcher for kukuchi lol.

nasty change up and slider. bunch of swings and misses for kuchi. great base running by yordan.

I will trade that crybaby😂rookie for him anyday😢😢
Josh Hader makes me nervous lol that first game against Pittsburgh still gets me upset
Kikuchi was good yesterday but the umpire made some questionable balls and strikes
GO ASTROS!!! 🤘🏼😎⚾️🚀
Yusei was dealing
Sweet. 🧡🚂🔥⚾💪🏾😁
KKKKKKKKKKKikuchi!
菊地選手はこのピッチングを続けていければワールドチャンプも狙えるが、果たして…
🏆🏆🏆
Should’ve gotten a first base man instead of Kukuchi 🤪
Was it worth it?
I don’t think they should’ve given up that much for him, but it looks like he met expectations
Ryan Pressley… smh. Don’t even know why we’re allowing him to pitch.
I miss him as a closer
Yusei more like Yus-K.
Joe Espada is not a great manager. He should have walked the man to 1st to open up a double play for Pressley. Makes me wonder if Pressley took it into his own hands.
Loom out seattle astrons taking over
