Chanel Pure Medium Kelly (5-series 1997-1999)
    Caviar Leather, Gold Hardware
    Size: 10"W x 7.5"H x 3.5"D with a 2.5" handle drop
    Bought from www.rebag.com/ .
MSRP $2700. $2,657.55 total (includes 10% off coupon, tax, & shipping).
This bag has slight structure loss as well as a deep dent/crease in the front flap. I was able to get it out using the products listed below. I am not sponsored by any of the products used because no one knows that I exist.
    1. Conair steamer $47
    amzn.to/33e3IfZ
    2. Genesis heat gun $16
    amzn.to/35kH5sX
    3. Coach leather cleaner. Currently on sale $5, usually $12
    www.coach.com/coach-leather-c...
    4. Obenauf Heavy Duty leather preservative $13
*Only use Obenauf on dark coloured bag. It will darken the leather. Great for black bags, it will restore/ enrich the color. *
    amzn.to/3bUhngt
Steaming the bag will freak most people out due to the resulting discoloration from moisture loss. Nutrients and moisture are later added back in using obenauf. HOWEVER, if you are faint of heart and are afraid, just skip this step.
Disclaimer: I am not liable if you burn down... yourself, your house, and/or your bag. Attempt at your own risk.

Have you guys ever bought something slightly flawed because of the great discount? Now that you know even deep dents can be fix, does it change your mind about getting slightly flawed bags? Let me know in the comments below. :)

Hello Trang, this video is a heaven-sent. I am currently on the fence to buy a beige GST with deep creases at the front bottom and back part. Do you think I'd be able to restructure it with a heat gun? Can I show you the bag photos if you don't mind? I just thought your experiences would be really helpful for me to decide if i'm gonna take the plunge and get that bag. Thanks a bunch!

    • @trang8735
      @trang8735  2 роки тому +1

@@kristineruthgavan2483 If it is caviar leather, I think it will help. I don't know if it will completely take it out though. Go gentle with the streamer, and low on the heat gun. See if it helps then add more heat slowly. If u use too much steam, you will dry the leather out. Too much heat and you will burn the leather. Good luck! 👍

Hi Trang, I love what you did with your beautiful Chanel bag. Bravo to you. I need your advice on how to address a conditioner residue on box leather. My mother passed down one of her favorite bags. I took it traveling with me. At the airport some brushed by with a huge duffel and created a wide between 3-4 inches across the front of the bag, I purchased some conditioning oil and some paste from Safir to add some color and minimize the big and wide scratch. This did not help and now I have a sticky leather that has no shine, it used to have a shiny patina, and I am beside myself. My mother gifted it to me in perfect condition and now it’s dull looking and you can feel a film on the from when you rub it. Any suggestions on what I can do to rescue my bag or get rid of the residue. Thank you.

I've heard that Box leather is very delicate so I have not own anything in that leather. I'm sorry but I truly have no experience in regards to this situation. I hope you are able to save your mom's bag by going to bag surgeon or other professional services. It's worth it since it's more than a bag, it's a relic from your mom. ❤

I don't own any exotic bags so I can't give you advise on that. The cooling to to lock in the shape. Same as using cool air after blow dry to set the hair. If you don't cool, the shape don't keep as well. Hope this helps. 🙏
