You did a great overview of why Alpha Clash is a yes when considering whether or not to make a pledge on Kickstarter. Got my sub and I look forward to your slab return video! I have been backing them since June on Patreon and their Graphic Novel Kickstarter. They have delivered everything quickly and the quality has been top notch, plus how could anyone not love the superheros theme. I have a rather large pledge on the current kickstarter and can't wait to see where this TCG goes and based on the rules alone I know it will be fun to play and simple to play for anyone who has never played a TCG before.
I’m backing this KS. The game and cards looks amazing! The 1st graphic Novel is amazing and I HIGHLY recommend reading it. Can’t wait to get some products and play ❤
@@GoatBreakers i should be getting my 3 boxes this week(here in Denmark), with boosters and promos. And I also bought 2 Alpha Aster, giver of all alt art. Im looking fprward to play it.... it looks good and now Team Covernant is beginning to promote and selling Alpha Clash. I think it going to have a good start.
I would tell you if I could get a response from Beckett lol Received on 12/5 for a 30 day service and still nothing about where my cards are. Working on it for sure.
I honestly don't think this game will last. The major push for this game seems to hinge on the secondary market. That these will be valuable someday but the game play is not that different from many failed card games that had a stronger asthetic and a more wide spead and honestly more original auxiliary content. Flesh and blood caught on because the mechanics were wildly different from anything out at the time and grew on the back of irl play being the main focus. While the art is good in the sense it's very clean and well made. It has no personality. There's no cohesion as far as theme. More just look at this kroger brand superheros in a time where super heros are over saturated and generic solider people which dont really leave an impact. Lastly the cards look extremely thick, I think to avoid curling as in other games but this makes the deck massive for only being a 50 card deck. I hope it does well but it needs to find it's identity fast and it needs something that will keep players from already long established games or games tied to popular IPs. The market is flooded in TCGs at the moment so we will see.
Hey totally can see where you are coming from about the "identity" of the brand. Personally I was introduced to it through the comic book first and liked what I saw (so that may be where you would be able to see more identity to the IP) but still didn't know if the cards were going to be any good. Really like the way they look and feel so that is a big win in my opinion. Yes there are a TON of TCGs but I am more than happy to see something new. So tired of every other card game introducing monsters, magic, fairies, etc. When you talk about there being "no cohesion" what would you recommend they do? I am sure they will see this.
@@GoatBreakers i get where you coming from for the fantasy thing. As for cohesion maybe it's the wrong word as it's hard to articulate what it's not doing for me. I think it's that they don't look like they come from the same world. Like each card is just an idividual painting and we've gathered them up shuffled them and then assigned pwers and abilities to them. As a life long tcg enjoyer whose seen the death of many card games it just doesn't grab my attention. Maybe it's because i haven't really seen anything about the game other than oooh look shiny, and the honestly poor how to play video they put out. So offering a solution is hard. Maybe not so much the art need diversity but the actual cards need it. While watching the how to play video it was not immediatly obvious what type of card each type of card was. I don't know. I hope it does well but I'll likely not be a player so take anything I say with a grain of salt. Just what my gut is telling me.
My persective in the simplest terms is basically the "green flags" I brought up in the video. I like what I saw and feel other's with a similar perspective should take a look at it. BUT I am always going to be a collector at heart, been that way since I was a kid,. You are bringing a different perspective that is valuable. For any TCG to survive you are need the game to work and be fun. If that doesn't happen it doesn't matter how shiny it is.
It gives me Chaotic Vibes. I loved Chaotic.

Yea a Kickstarter that ACTUALLY sends out the product on time and at a high quality is very rare!
I'm aggressively supporting the Kickstarter
That’s the best way to support haha
