    No drugstore blush would loose pigment like that in 5 years or more, high end brands can be a little sketchy with quality 😂

      I've got a No7 drugstore blush in my sentimental stash that is expired by over 10 years (it's what I wore on my first date with my hubby) and it's 100% the same shade as the day I bought it and it smells fresh as a daisy.
      That Dior one looks like it's got psoriasis

      It’s because dior doesn’t use the same preservatives that other brands do. I just learned about this. So it’s actually a cleaner formula, even though it’s scary when it goes bad.

      I totally agree....just because you're paying top dollar, doesn't always mean top quality. But this does prove what I always say, you can soon tell if something is expired..don't worry about throwing away good stuff just because of numbers on a label 👍👍👍

    I literally have MAC blushes from the mineralized skin finish launch of 2004 that are exactly the same as when I bought them. You see the testers for Dior at Sephora often have this chalky appearance or hard pan and they're literally replacing them every couple months. Love their highlighters but nobody needs a $45 blush with such a lackluster longevity.

    • @maddiemcnugget1076
      @maddiemcnugget1076 10 місяців тому +12

      HONESTLY! I noticed the testers always had hard pan on the popular shades and some of them are white as sleet. How does that even happen??

      I have Nars and Elf blushes that are years old. I received a free Dior blush of the old formula as a Sephora employee, but I gifted it to my sister. The new formula doesn't seem to have the same hard pan problem, but my sister's is already fading

      Exactly what I commented. A lot of blushes at Sephora have this ashy, hard texture to them. And there's no way they've been there more than a year.

    • @PersianPowergirl
      @PersianPowergirl 10 місяців тому +3

      It's not just about the time. It's also about the amount of oily fingers that have switched the product. Testers = more swatches. Hence the hard pan. It's literally an oil film over the product.

And at the end of the day, how many hours of the day are you actually wearing that blush you’re going to wash it off at the end of the night. I always say have a great deep cleansing routine and never go to sleep with your make-up on and you should be okay even if your products have preservatives in them.
