Got my 101T's in the garage waiting for spring. Same situation as far as hdcp goes. They do look and feel amazing. Great video as always.

I have a couple of friends at West End using those Lewis and both say they’re great. What’s really great about them is the pricing for tight Yorkshire lads 😉
Good to see the durability is very good too! Mind you, so long as you keep them clean and dry them after use they should last as well as any other club. Twee had a set of Mizuno back in the day, put them into his locker wet and when he got them out the following week…rust spots all over them. Just proving it’s the care you take of clubs and not the name on the back of them.

No, it’s the West End Golf Club in Halifax, Yorkshire. Although we’re moving to The Halifax Golf Club this season after Debi got poached there, offered 17 months membership and a locker for £200…incredible deal that had half a dozen of us leave West End to join her 🤣🤣🤣

Just got a set of these last week. So far they feel really good and I've enjoyed my practice sessions with them. Already feel like I'm getting a bit more yardage than my previous ones.

Good to see a year review and that you prefer the forgiveness more. Love that you are like most of us. Love watching rick shiels but it is not at all indicative of how i would play the clubs he reviews. I am wanting to order the 101s as a 23 hdcp. I know my current irons 1999 cleveland TA5, were custom fit for me back then but no idea the spec. I went on the under 70 website and put in my physical dimensions and it gave me some fitting numbers. -1/4" which unfortunately takomo does not offer. So probably just do standard length. -1 on lie and standard grips. I have been wanting to go with midsize though.
Now my TA5 have been in use weekly from 1999 to 2007 when children interupted my play time. Now for last 3 years i am back into it. Do you think the takomos can do 10 years of use?
You should do reviews of clubs. You would be a mid/high hd p that most youtube viewers can relate to. Rent time at a sim place or become friends with a golf shop and do some club testing with a trackman.
Good question about the durability. I suppose time will tell but I use them every week playing and down the range to and they haven't shown signs of failing. They still feel and look solid, of course apart from minor cosmetic scuffs.
I would love to do more club reviews I agree exactly what you say, rick just isn't relatable to us. Problem being though, companies wouldn't allow testing as we as a channel are not big enough just yet but it is something I would love to pursue in the future
Would love to see it.
Good time to get friendly with a pro shop to record some stuff. Pay them some money and would likely be receptive. Then trickle out the content over a few weeks or more. Don't go in and try every 2024 7 iron on the market and put it into 1 video. You do that after all are released as a single club videos. What you never see much of is comparing to a current set. See all these reviews and comparison videos comparing a $200 Titleist to a $200 calaway and they never add in the ~$100 Adams or takomo.
Find a way to do some to help build channel to the point you can just order single demo clubs or get them lended to you for a review. You are good on camera and entertaining to watch.

In the 101t irons I have the kbs max shafts in stiff.
Though since making the video I have gone back to the 101 irons which are serving me really well. They also feel really great too.
They are kbs 105 stiff which is a bit like tour lite

Be good to see a real head to head between 101 and 101T. How they look, and perform. I’m ready to order a set of takomo, 13 hcp but can’t decide which I want. Soooo wish they did a combo set 😢
I did a video a while back comparing numbers between the two. If it helps in anyway, I have gone back to he 101 irons after using both. The 101 irons just give me more forgiveness and looking down I feel I can just smack it
I'm at the same stage and also can't decide . Just wish there was somewhere to test them out before buying !
I'm just starting to play again after more than a decade gap and looking for some new irons. Was/am looking at Srixon zx4's/zx5's but discovered Tacomo a few days ago and was caught by the price (about half) but want to have good clubs too. When I played I was an 11 hdc and am waffling between the 101's and 101T's, any advice?
I love both but the forgiveness off the 101 is the reason I have them in the bag. I had 101t irons in bag last year but I was being punished too much. The 101 still look fantastic but just give the more forgiveness. Compare them to p790s
Dont know if i want to go with the 101 or Maltby as i am a beginner and have only been playing for a couple months but have improved alot
i honestly couldn't answer that one mate. all i can say is the 101 irons would be the best choice out of takomos irons. i havent heard of Maltby
I am in the market for some new irons, I’ve looked at the 101ts and just the 101s I am currently gaming the Ben Hogan Radial irons I hit them good sometimes and I usually shoot a 96 at my home course, which one would you prefer?
It's a hard one for me to say because it's all personal preference. Having played both I would say the 101 is definitely the best for forgiveness and distance. I have switched back to the 101 irons and I am getting so much more consistent strikes and better distances now compared to the 101t irons.

Did you buy the Takomo's online from America, and if so, did you have to pay import duty? So what ball you using now?
They are based in Finland so bought online then they get shipped direct from china.
The ball I have gone back to the tour response as the spin numbers are just unbeatable for me

Having a hard time getting enough spin on my 101t's . I cannot get the ball to stay on the greens....
I'm not sure what I can say to help mate. I'm by no means an expert. My try a high spin golf ball ?
Tip from a 17 handicapper.... Keep your right elbow in tight against your body.
I'm never against other golfers tips and ideas. So my coach has encouraged me to stay wide as I get too wristy which is why you see I stay wide. I'm playing the best golf in a long time so I'm gonna stop tampering with my swing and stick to what he's saying but again always happy to hear golfers thoughts ✌️
You need to check your club faces.I just check my frends Takomo 101 and 3 of them was face pushed in and crack.

Just bought a set of 101's. Haven't played much recently due to being Scottish. But they feel great on the range!

All good with Takomo but their Delivery times and lack of communication after order is really not great, they need to improve that.
