  • In this video, I'll show you how to make an OTG cable using any data cable. This is perfect for use with smartphones, tablets, and other devices that support OTG.
Whether you're transferring photos, videos, or music between your device and your computer, this OTG cable will help you get your work done faster! I'll show you how to make the cable, So watch this video, and turn any data cable into an OTG cable in no time!
🔴I want to apologize for a mistake in my last video. The process was right, but the diagram and picture were incorrect. Here's the correct setup:
Connect the G, D+, D-, and Vbus pins from the USB Type-C to the USB Type-A female connector.
Place a 5.1kΩ resistor between the CC pin and GND.
This configuration ensures your cellphone will act as the host in OTG mode, letting you use your USB drive properly.
🔴Warning: Improper configuration may result in device malfunction or damage. For precise wiring instructions and cautionary tips, it's crucial to consult reliable sources to ensure correct setup and safe operation with USB peripherals like USB drives.
Thanks for your understanding and support!

you should use a resistor with a value within the range specified for the Rp resistor, typically between 5.1kΩ to 5.6kΩ..! Feel free to ask other questions

@@Raazi64 Using a resistor with a value too low or too high could lead to compatibility issues or even device damage. So i don't recommend doing that if possible use between 5.1kΩ to 5.6kΩ..!

What will happen if you don't put a resistor? Please answer

1.The devices won't know they need to switch roles.
2.OTG won't work properly, so you won't be able to do things like transferring files between devices.
3.There's a risk of damaging the devices if there's a power issue.
So 5.1 kΩ resistor helps in this process. By connecting this resistor across specific pins (CC pins) in the Type-C connector, it communicates to the devices which one should act as the host. The device that detects the resistor assumes the role of the host, while the other device becomes the peripheral. Hope it helps feel free to ask other questions.

Instead of wiring pin 5 (cc) to ground/resistor, can I wire the sense/ID pin to the ground/resistor? Is the Sense/ID the same as the CC pin?@@Kaleab-solomon
