Meowsic cat keyboard mod and test

- Decided it would be fun to get a Meowsic cat Keyboard and add a mono audio output jack so I can run it into some pedals I have. Enjoy!
The pedals I'm using are a TC Electronic flashback triple delay and a Flux Effects liquid ambience polyphonic reverb. Audio was captured on a Zoom R16 portable recorder interface.

hi your bend wouldnt it fry the circuit over time, did you add any resistors or anything, or did you just rewire the speaker to the mono jack ?, im intersted in a simple build but wouldnt like to fry my circuit tho :) hope you have some information, you want to share :)
That was my same thought. I saw a video where he added a capacitor to the speaker wire/jack, shown here at 6:33: ua-cam.com/video/IBak46asLlA/v-deo.html. I don't know enough about modding, however, to know if there should be some extra resistance or something, so you won't fry the board or damage external output effects. Apparently if you web search for "Meowsic Keyboard Output Jack", you'll find a nice mod, which indeed does show a series of resistors and capacitor. I'd be cautious to just directly hook the speaker wire directly to an output jack like this video shows.

Nice! I made this, and it works well. My only issue is I definitely get a hum when plugging it into an amp. Do you have that issue?

The speaker in those meowsic keyboards, does it have a built in amplifier into the speaker or is there an amplifier in the PCB somewhere? I’m thinking of getting one and wiring up a switch jack so it will switch output to a line out instead of speaker, but play out speaker when disconnected. Among other mods
From the looks of it I’m guessing that little speaker doesn’t have an amplifier, which means wouldn’t you need a tiny LOC to use the output?

got same today, but when i connect it to pc to record, input is so highand impossible to adjust it! And impossible to make record like that, what value volume potentiometer needed for it?
