DISCLAMIER: Just wanted to quickly say after reading a few of your comments about not using a cotton bud, I'm not telling anyone to take my advice its completely up to you if you want to use my method or not. I've however used this method for months and I haven't had any problems with my eyes or the lenses. I'm glad it's helping some of you(believe me I know the struggle). I also wanted to thank you all for the support and watching the video, I'm honestly overwhelmed with it all, when I first made this video I never expected to get even 500views yet alone 1'000s of views.Thank you all again and God bless you all

Wow, this is a life saver for me!!! I've practically ripped off my glue-on nails painfully several times, just so I could get my colored lenses out again! Thanks so much for this cool idea! ♥
And for all of those commenters, who are concerend about cotton lints coming off the cotton bud and getting stuck to the lens: how about wetting the cotton bud slighty with water and pressing the excess water out of it again. That way, all the potentially loose lints/fibers will stay on the bud and not come off easily. Also, you should clean the lens with lens care solution after wearing, anyway, and any lints should be removed that way. I think, it's safe.
For those who are concerned about the bleach that's been used on the cotton: just look out for non-bleached cotton then! I always use organic cotton buds, which also come with cardboard sticks instead of plastic, because I try to avoid anything that's bad for the environment and nature. Those organic cotton buds haven't been bleached. ;-)
I used actual metal tweezers once because I could NOT get them out!
BEST method! Hands down! I’ve been looking for a way to take my contacts out with my long nails for so long an now I know!

Thank you so much for this tip!!! I was irritating my eyes everyday, took me so long and it was so painful. Now it takes one second and it`s easy and painless. If you wet the cotton swab with contact solution, it`s even faster and easier.

Yeah it's risky what you're doing but if you are using BRAND new cotton (out of the box) and then soaking your contacts afterwards it's fine. I'd also flush your eye with solution real quick to rinse out and potential particles. I've worn contacts for 20 years. Many people really underestimate the durability of the eye. It's not so weak and sensitive that any mistouch will make someone go blind.
BTW I never thought about how long nails could be a problem (I'm a guy). It's a smart way to deal with it. Maybe you should invent and patent some solution for other girls?

It has taken me about a minute to wear the contacts after spending a fruitless one hour. Dragging down the lower lid only has worked for me and I found it comfortable. Thanks!

This method saved my life. Today I put lenses for the first time (sure it was gross and hard) and I was trying to remove them for several minutes, than I stopped and started to watch how others are doing, I found this awesome way and it really helped me, thank you, I just want to ask, is it safe? (I mean what if tiny cotton threads will fall in your eyes?)

Don't know why you're apologising for no make-up, if I looked that good without makeup I'd never bother wearing it! This is a cool tip - tho' I'd be nervous about a) getting cotton fibres in my eye or b) any chemicals the qtips are bleached with. Wonder if there's something similar one can use that works the same way?

When I get my nails done I still use my hands to take my contacts out and put them in it's a must know when you need contacts for purposes of say idk actually seeing and not just for cosmetics

If yall are desperate and tired like me, this is a good start. Grab a cue tip and put some contact solution on the tips and tweeze it out. But tomorrow I suggest something else. This is sorta bad for your eye and could lead to infections xx

I thought about trying this method tonight when I was trying to take my colored contacts out for the first time. My bf yelled at me not to! Haha. I actually watched a method where you pinch your eyelids down on them to pop them out & that worked amazing for me! I would have done this if I hadn't seen that though!

Oh so very helpful! I just got contacts yesterday and I had a hard time getting them out last night.
There is also a slide out method. My first contacts today, I slide them out with my upper eyelid held up and push them down over my eye till they came down then I pinched them out, it was easy.

You are gorgeous but OMG with the blue lenses you're incredibly beautiful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I don't see a thing with my colored lenses so I do my makeup with my lenses on strength and then I just pull down my lower eyelid like you showed in the beginning but I use on my finger a tissue paper so I protect my makeup (which has to be dry perfectly, specially mascara) and hold the paper on there ones my first lenses are out and I applied the colored ones. And I just take my lenses out wearing long nails, but I hold my indexfinger and midfinger as flat as possible, so with my hand flat on my face so to speak, and softly with my fingertips, I move the lens to the white of they eyeball and take like you did with the two tips of cotton in a squeesing motion the lens out between my fingers, and my nails I clean very well first wile washing my hands, with a nail brush!!! And the way I try to explain, my nails don't touch my eyes, they go over my upper eyelid. I hope this helps too, Love and light, Nancy's Love for Make-Up

Ms B N hi! And yes it did :) the only problem I had was one day I was gripping the contact and it tore and half was left inside my eye, but I got it straight out so I suggest maybe wetting your eye with eye drops or something first :))

Where did you get your colored contacts?my eyes are dark like yours and I can't find good contacts that have an opaque enough colored part and they still look like dark eyes.ive searched since ove started wearing lenses but have not found them yet.
