Also with the screen recorder you use does it save it in a file

I use the Windows default screen recorder ([windows key]+G), and yes it does save in a file, it saves in the videos captures folder on my PC. Also I don't make the thumbnails, go to the description. I leave credit to where I get the thumbnails from.
