I have been so good at not making purchases until I use up what I have for everything lol it’s actually satisfying but also I just have to remind myself especially on sales you don’t need it 😂
I could not agree more on the lip balm from summer Fridays. It totally dried out my lips and didn’t impart any appreciable moisture!! Thank you for letting me know I’m not alone lol. I too love the Ole H one ❤️❤️
This is such a good project pan series and very realistic, since you’re using current makeup. I watch a lot of panning videos where people would pan makeup from 15 years ago lol… I think it’s time to let go at that point. Anyways, sending love and positivity your way✨
You introducing even more lip products into this project pan made me realize that I don't like a lot of my lip collection but I keep it because I feel like it's wasteful and maybe "one day" I would need that specific color and I would have it for that moment (which is probably never going to happen). So yeah, I am heavily considering doing a much needed declutter hehe
This is honestly great! Vids like this really inspire me to be more conscious of what I already own. I wish I'd seen this videos prior to the Sephora sale bc I know for sure I impulse bought lol.
Have just recently wanted to use certain products before buying more. Love to see you doing it too. It gives me motivation. Currently almost finished my nudestix bronzer!
@@ByKristinaStudio Thank you! It is beautiful. Also, I was wondering if perhaps you could make a video about makeup brands that maybe don’t last as long as others. I changed careers and no longer wear makeup everyday so I need products that have a longer shelf life. Please and thank you if you’re able to.
I believe it was Robert Welsh who did a video recently about project panning. He makes a great point about being mindful of the expiration dates when you’re project panning. If products are expired then need to be disposed of. Some of your products seem like they are in the state of disposal. Let them go. Toss them. You have used them enough. I have a larger collection as well and I do project pan but I dispose of products when they no longer work probably. You risk an infection at that point.
Thanks for your concern! A lot of these are less than a year old and I’m very mindful about not using expired products since I’m acne prone. Might look very used bc I’m constantly reaching for them 😅
My husband is from New York, and he and his whole family pronounce drawers like "draws." When we were first together, I gave him so much crap about it, and then our kids did once they noticed at a certain age. They also say "get on line" instead of "get in line" ... like "it was standing in line for a long time" they will say " I was standing on line for a long time." They are adorable.
I think being mindful of overconsumption and using up the products you already have is admirable, but I also feel like forcing yourself to use an almost empty broken pressed powder or a little nub of an eyeliner that’s no longer performing the same feels almost a bit psychologically masochistic 😂 But hey, that’s just me!
LOL I tottttally get where you're coming from. But I can promise you, I absolutely love both products and it feels like a challenge that for me, brings back the fun part of using makeup 😂 but I can't say I'm not excited for the day I get to use fresh, new ones!
Hi! I've been watching your videos but got really busy so I couldn't catch up for like 3-4 months. I am also in a phase where I want to only buy something if i think I'd use it well. I'm trying to use more makeup than I buy nowadays. I'm currently trying to wear more colorful eyeshadows because its holiday season and want to get some use out of them. Good luck on your project pan as well! Hope you're doing well ❤
You directly inspired me to only purchase replacements during the sale (except the Summer Fridays butter balm mini set. I couldn’t resist!). Thank you so much! 🙏🏽
I have a rolling project pan! It’s been really successful! I don’t put any pressure on myself. I’ve used up several lip glosses, lip oil, lip sleeping mask, mascaras, lip liners, brow pencils and foundations. Granted these types of products tend to go fast but I have put pan on 2 pressed powders, a blush and a bronzer. I also have pans in 3 eyeshadow pallets. I also only use 2-3 mascaras and , 2 setting sprays at a time! I also rotate my products I’ll essentially shop my stash! Just pulling out a make up wardrobe allows me to use all my products! I also keep a makeup inventory it allows me to me to keep count of my product it also allows me to establish no/ low buys by category etc. That has been very helpful. My goal is to not over consume and to be more conscious about my purchases. No buy category’s are mascara, foundation, eye shadow, face pallets, brushes and foundations. I no longer bye highlighters, eye primer or color correctors. I love make it’s my therapy m. I’ve enjoyed the exploratory phase and now know what I like, what I don’t and what my preferences are. I just need to create boundaries and healthy habits. Team no backup! Also I don’t keep products that don’t work for me I either return, regift or give away! Love the Haus Labs fire moon blush! Skin care I only buy as needed same with hair and body care! I’m on a no buy on perfumes. I should have 3-4 empties in that category by the end of the year. Then and only then will I purchase another maybe. I also declutter my perfume. My mom and daughter are lucky girls. I’m more Constantine with general shopping thank goodness, but makeup is my weakness 😂
I love the sigma concealer. I buy one every year during black Friday and that's the only concealer I use during the year, and by the time the next black friday comes, it is almost used up.
Have you considered taking out a small chunk of the powder and breaking it up to use as a loose powder, to see if you like it that way? I'm once again learning that I'm the world slowest panner. I've finished 1 lipgloss, a mascara and a concealer this year and that's it..
I've done that a few times! I ended up pressing the powder together after filming this video, so I'm hoping it does okay! 🤞🏼 And slow progress is still progress!
i felt similarly about the Summer Fridays lip balm! I was always confused about the hype because it felt like SF just maintained my lips in their current state 😬
You’re so adorable it’s always so fun to see your videos. Personally I am working on an eyeshadow palette so I can buy a new one. I also have a pressed powder I am trying to finish up
Not sure if someone has mentioned this yet but it might be worth trying to hit the Mario eye liner with a blow dryer for a few seconds to warm it up. Not sure if it’ll stay creamy but it should help the product glide on more smoothly!
This gives me hope. 😅 Glad to see you're still putting effort into this IMMENSE goal. ❤ My project pan success? My Charlotte Tilbury highlighter fell out of its component and shattered. 🎉 😑 Does that count? Lol Seriously though, about the only lesson I've learned in trying to go through my products is that I need to avoid "hydrating" and "luminous" items forever. Once the initial excitement fades, the reality of my sweaty, greasy face settles in.... and now they're all sitting in my shame drawer. Faaaail.
Drawers. Say it the way you feel comfortable. I too used to get teased by the way I say “closet” - apparently, people hear “clouset“. Also, the words drawer and oven. I started getting self conscious when I had to say one of those words and I finally say “eff it! They know damn well what I’m saying.” 😂
@ so far so good! Just trying to use at least a couple items from the project pan everyday. Mostly I needed a reality check that I don’t need anymore makeup and it’s gonna take forever to use up.
If any items begin to feel irritating in any way (expired/broken/dried out) I focus on the fact that I used the product more than I have been in the past and it’s time to say goodbye.
idk if this is wasteful of another product to u, but could try dampening the tip of dried eyeliner with a setting spray first. totally get if it’s not worth it to u too tho !
What do you wear on your eyes. It' so biutiful 🎉

It’s about time I do a declutter as well! I know I have a lot of products that aren’t bad, but I have other products I enjoy much more
Ive noticed lip balms in tubes always last me an insanely long time (like a year!). they are just never ending compared to sticks or pots.
