Sorry for such a late reply, we don't check this often. There are many ways radon gas can enter a home (including from well water) and many ways to deal with it. More on that here at our site - www.ecohome.net/guide/mitigating-radon-gas-homes . Dealing with radon is very easy in new homes and costs next to nothing when you consider the possible consequences. The health risks come from long term exposure, and if you're building a home you may envision yourself passing it to your kids - give them a safer and healthier home, they may be in it way longer than you.
I am making a footing which is around one 1m square by 1m deep. On top and in the middle of the footing will sit a precast concrete block standing 1m high x 600mm square. This block will sit above ground level where a heavy item will be placed on it. The footing and block will be back-filled with soil. In this case, do I still need plastic underlay?
Thank you for this video, But what is the main use for Radon barrier ? and is the (Radon Barrier) the same as (Vapor Barrier)?. i mean is all this barreir to void the Radion Gas ?.

Radon Gas is the second greatest cause of lung cancer after smoking, and as we build houses increasingly air tight it is becoming a greater concern. it's a very cheap feature to add to a home to improve the long term air quality.

how often or how many feet or w.e do you run a pipe? and how do tou size your fan? do you have vids on the install?
Why vent radon pipe through the house? Vent to outside of foundation.
