Ivan Zaytsev (Russian: Иван Вячеславович Зайцев, born 2 October 1988) is an Italian volleyball player of Russian origin, the captain of Italy men's national volleyball team and Russian club Kuzbass Kemerovo, a bronze medalist of the Olympic Games London 2012, silver medalist of the European Championship (2011, 2013), bronze medalist of the World League (2013, 2014), Italian Champion (2014) and silver medalist of the Olympic Games Rio 2016.

Gilberto Amauri de Godoy Filho, known as Giba (born 23 December 1976), is a Brazilian former professional volleyball player who played as an outside hitter. For much of the 2000s, he was widely regarded as one of the best volleyball players in the world. During his professional career he played in Brazil, Italy, Russia, Argentina and briefly in the United Arab Emirates. He is mostly remembered for his successes with the national team.[1]
With the Brazilian National Team he won a total of 8 South American Championships, 3 America's Cups, 8 World League titles, 3 World Grand Champions Cups, three World Championships (2002, 2006, 2010) and the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he was the team's captain.[2]
During summer 2014, Giba retired from professional volleyball at the age of 37.

@@luqueste2450 eu entendo a evolução do esporte como um todo, os recordes olímpicos sendo quebrados a cada edição é a prova viva disso, mas há excessões, esses que citei se jogassem hoje seriam os melhores em seus respectivos esportes assim como foram antigamente
@@LUCASWTREIN Discordo prontamente, pra mim, esse negócio de "se ele jogasse hoje" existe só para desmerecer quem joga hoje, como se pelo fato de ser contemporâneo, ele nunca fosse suficientemente bom.
Pelé é o maior da história, isso não tem dúvida. E é algo que provavelmente nunca irá mudar pq ele foi gigante pro futebol. Agora hoje em 2021 é meio que óbvio a evolução, e tem dezenas/centenas de atletas que, no conjunto de todos os aspectos do esporte, são melhores do que ele.
Isso acontece no voleibol, futebol, basquete. Basicamente todos. Sem ser demérito de ninguém.

O Giba era um jogador completo, líder nato, altíssimo QI de jogo, saque venenoso e uma cravada insana, o cara praticamente enterrava a bola. Lenda viva, com certeza o melhor da história.

Ter Giba, Murilo e Serginho numa linha de passe e dois ponteiros como Murilo e Giba e Dante como reserva de luxo foi um feito que nenhuma seleção do mundo conseguiu ter, só a brasileira! Isso sem falar dos demais jogadores que foram e ainda são, como Lucão e Bruno, excepcionais!

Na verdade ele parou de ser o melhor quando Ricardinho saiu da seleção né, se tornou um jogador comum, Ricardinho dava velocidade para ele no ataque. Quando foi para Londres 2012, não jogou nada, acabou pegando a vaga de outro jogador pelo seu nome famoso, algo muito comum no Brasil, ali já indicava seu fim de carreira como jogador também.
@@thiagotk1572 É por causa que o Ricardinho e ele se encaixavam que nem peça de quebra cabeça. Ricardinho era o levantador que adorava usar ataques rápidos e o Giba era justamente o melhor jogador pra isso. Sem o Ricardinho, não havia nenhum levantador que tivesse um estilo de jogo que acompanhasse o estilo do Giba para ele puder jogar com tudo de si.
@@thiagotk1572 ele ainda jogou muito sem o Ricardinho. Juntos ele ficava ainda melhor. Fim de carreira chega para todos, não tem a ver com ser "comum". Falou m*.
@@lucas-prado Depois de 2012 ele deve ter jogado muito no seus sonhos com ele heauhauahauhauahauauahauhauahae. Após as Olimpíadas ele praticamente se aposentou. No caso de 2012 me referi que ele já não era o melhor da posição, existia jogadores no Brasil com nível mais alto, mas ele foi convocado pelo nome e não pelas habilidades. Ele já estava finalizando a carreira em Londres, depois disso só foi confusão, quase sendo preso pela Justiça por falta de pagamento de pensão para os filhos.
