Blakey’s partnership with Lee Mills in 98/99 was one of if not THE best front 2 partnership in my 41 years of supporting Bradford.

That bit at the end .... I remember Stan Ternent's last game against Sunderland .. As a youth player, he'd signed for Burnley at 15, and then saved them from relegation to the 4th tier as a manager, aged 52, in 1998 ... led us to promotion in 2000 and twice took us to within a point of the play-offs. He married a lady from Burnley, and made his home less than 2 miles from Turf Moor. He took a standing ovation during a lap of honour after the Sunderland game, draped in a scarf in tears, some of the players were crying, many of of the crowd had tears running down their faces, I certainly did ..
Robbie Blake was a super footballer very technical and skilful.
I worked at Burnley between 1999 & 2004 and these stories have reminded of some belters about Stan.... Legend in Burnley. Some of his confrontations are so funny and legendary
He was fantastic at Burnley Robbie, an absolute class act! Loved how he couldn’t wait to talk about his time at Burnley shows the spirit that we’re there at the time and it’s the same now! up the mighty clarets!

I remember he had a short stint at Forest on loan and I wish they had signed him permanently, him up front with Jack Lester I think at the time. We looked like we were going to do things under Platt when he played for us

I wish Blake had signed permanently for Forest. He made us tick during that loan spell. Great player! His intelligence was reminiscent of Nigel Clough, Teddy Sheringham, Lars Bohinen - these type of people.

Really disappointed by this one. He doesn't seem like a particularly nice bloke and clearly believes he could've been one of the best strikers in the world if he'd been more professional. Pretty sure he's the only one to think this though.
I take a different view. I think he’s right. He was very gifted but a lazy little shit. If he’s have gone to a Man U or whoever, he would have won champs leagues.
