Carmador I just bought mine on eBay. $50, no problems and there’s been a year or two of good feedback from the seller with just product keys. Also, once retail keys are purchased MS doesn’t care where they came from: you own the software. I do the same when I activate shitty old computers with Windows 7 Ultimate MSDN keys.

As far as I know there's nothing wrong with buying bulk resale keys from retailers. I've done it and had Microsoft techs personally activate them for me.

Hey Dave..thanks for your input on this..However, i noticed there is no activation code by email option here in Australia. Perhaps we have not gotten this platform yet on amazon au. I needed the activation code urgently however, I can not do it via amazon coz will need to be delivered so.

According to Microsoft themselves, modern versions of Office have geographical restrictions when it comes to activation of their products. In other words, versions of Office bought in another region (like say Europe) can be activated only in that region. If you live in that region, it does not matter what version you get as long as you live in that region. I do not know how far back this goes, but it has been there at least since Office 2010.
How about a one time key purchase on amazon, is that safe and does it work?

Not if you're just typing in a product key, no. But if you were thinking of signing into office with someone else's email address and password, it would give you access to their private data, and give them access to yours too.

I wasn't after office 365. I am after something with a one time license fee. Something that is a year or two old is OK.
Some of these products come with a DVD and box.
Ebay has a lot of Office licenses and the prices vary a fair bit.
Can't work out what's legal and what's not for the newer stuff e.g. 2019 Office

I have bought an ms office key via an online website. They gave me an link to download ms office and download it and install it.
I have installed it and entered the key. Then ms office told me to activate it (via internet recommended) but i have chosen the other option.
I have sent the key to the online seller via email and then he sent me back another key. I have typed that key and got an ms office subscription and worked.
But my doubt is because of sharing my key to him and entering his key in my laptop did he hack my laptop or not.
When i had the doubt i uninstalled the ms office but i am afraid if its already been hacked anything i type or connect to my laptop is being accessed by them.
Kindly help me out of this situation.

Yea. Your emails are all synced to the cloud so you will have access to them. You just need to sign in with the same account :D
@@siddtem469 Thanks for coming back to me. I'm sorry I probabally wasn't very clear. In office 2010 the emails are only available via the .pst file stored locally on the PC. When I upgrade to 365 how do I get access to the emails from the pst file?

That's actually dumb. OEM keys are much cheaper than CD retail keys. Just find a reputable page where they sell Windows keys instead of paying 200 dollars for one.

In 90% cases NO. But maybe you need to update graphics drivers(Intel, AMD, Nvidia) separately from their website.
My concern is privacy. Can administrator of this 365 that sells you login info, can he see your files and cloud files? I see why not… Even if you change password, Admin can change your 365 password and see your emails and files?

hi indeed as you say this is the only LEGIT proof way of doing it... so many people confuse legit and it activates well it's like someone giving you a house door , it activates, the key fits and the door opens... but is it legit to enter the house? depends if the owner has given right to do it yes otherwise no but in any cases the door opens...

I paid £2.54 for my windows 10 pro key and £11 for office (not 365...not paying a sub for something which I'm only going to use office for). Had for about a year without issues, even if I did have issues down the line it would be cheaper to just get another key.

Oh I do remember at the time a friend saying don't get 'mobile' ones, get full versions, I think with mobile they get you to phone to transfer license from one PC to another, full just gives you a key, make sure you read the description and feedback

I found a legitimate copy of Microsoft Office 2007 at a consignment shop for $1 and have been using it for 7 years now...I love it better than the newest version which I can can get at university for free.
if you go to the ms website you can now upgrade this for free to Windows 10
