Actually, they performed this song in the same key as the studio version. They didn't transpose it to be lower. Mainly Joe just can't hit the higher notes as well. I do agree that it sounds a bit country

On notes above G4, he seems to struggle while he used to be able to sing C5s live (last chorus of Poison Ivy). His voice sounds all tired or something.

I’m glad they broke up for a while. This is why. If it was gonna be like this the rest of the time up to now, it would have been horrible. They are not having fun or feeling the song. The magic disappeared. It’s back now tho. That’s why I’m glad they took a break.
