Really clear and helpful video. It's so refreshing to see someone concentrating on the purpose of it rather than showing off how great a player they are as so many of these types of instructional videos tend to do. thanks, I love playing bass but it's never been my main instrument. I need to tighten up for tracking bass on NICU's first album so I'm digging through tips and approaches to bass compression. I really like how you show off the variety of tones that can come from just fingers & compressor!
also helpful to think about how to get a more "even" tone because I mostly write fairly straightforward pop/rock style basslines where that evenness is really important in the mix.
