Don't forget the other reason why Trainer's Choice is such a blunderous fail is because it's pretty much the reason why many people believed that Seviper evolves from Arbok.
Speaking of Seviper, in the question that had it as the best choice for battling Forretress, that would actually technically be correct despite it being a poison type because it can learn flamethrower, which the bug/steel type has as it's only weakness and is 4x weak to it as well. If you want to get really technical and say that Swellow can learn heat wave, then it's a fair argument to say that it doesn't learn the move in gen3
@@SeanWheeler100 That was probably exactly it. It was a new snake and Jessie had it. They had to think on that for so long that the next time we had a new snake they had em say Servine seven times in a row.
In Cyrus' defense the reason why he doesnt use a masterball on Dialga/Palkia is because it was stated up to that point that using a pokeball on them would weaken their power which in hindsight would make sense for how in pokemon battles severe or life threatening injuries dont happen much. I think the reason Mew comes after Mewtwo in the Pokédex is the same as how most baby Pokémon come after their evolutions. In other words, dex numbers really don't mean much considering how cross-gen evolutions have been around since gen 2 and are now prominent once again.
The pokedex order IS NOT order of discovery, but order of Registration. Since Mew was an event pokemon, and that event (in Japan, never made it internationally) was held About a Year after the games release, When everybody already Had Mewtwo, it makes sense that Mew would be Registered After It's Clone. I just started my living dex and some of the gen 1 fails like charizard not being able to learn fly and that dude without a HM flying pokemon, I recently learned first hand.

All Pokémon in the Rainbow Rocket Episode were gifted to the Bosses by Giovanni who in his Timeline was able to take over Silph Co. to obtain a near infinite amount of Masterballs.
