Quick correction, 2 days, 44k in attendance each day, 88k in TOTAL!
EDIT - Apparently 90k, 88k is what Google said.
It's not 88k it's 90k,45k on each day and many more we don't know accurately bcs she released ticket sighting 3 times I think🥰🥰and nearly 4 lakh PPL in her general public ticket booking only not included the fan club,In fan club nearly 2 lakh people when the stadium full capacity is 69,000 ppl,it's called Impact,I really stan a Queen 👸💜

the best part is that opening with just her voice was just an impromptu on the spot decision by IU. and it turned out so iconic. before that, they were just testing the light sticks syncing, then suddenly lights went out and IU voice surprise. exactly your reaction, imagine being on the stadium suddenly hearing IU's raw voice

I’m in the US, Hawaii to be specific, and I’ve been a massive fan of hers since 2011 & every year, my admiration for her just grows. I have NEVER, EVER been a fan of anyone ever before - not Beyoncé, T. Swift, Selena, Justin…anyone. But IU is just different than any other artist out there - both on & off stage. A part of me is happy that she is not a part of the Western music industry. She is too pure & too good for the chaos!
She has a big fanbase all over the world…but i think she doesn’t realize it herself. she doesn’t do any effort to promote her music overseas like the other idol’s companies, it’s just sooo good that it reach sooo many people.
No need for her to the Western world she’s a queen in the heart of millions …❤

IU is undoubtedly the GOAT of Korea. 8 is a very personal song to IU. And I feel that she was dedicating this concert to her one of best friends, Sulli by opening the concert with this song.
Every singer, song writer, actor or entertainer in Korea has the greatest respect for IU. Literally no one in the industry does not know IU. They all look up to her like a Goddess. She is that great.
There are singers who can’t write songs or act. There are actors who can’t sing or write songs. There are song writers who can’t sing or act. But IU can do all three, and more.

What Blows my mind is that the way the stage is set up "Limited" the number of people.
With a slightly different configuration, so many more could have fit in that stadium.

well, if you dig a bit deeper, Eight is not only abt "that" loss :"')
actually maybe most of iu's song are written as multi-interpreted pieces (for better and worse :') )
for example Eight is also part of age series (23 - palette - eight - lilac; and this storytelling is applied in this concert setlist), and talk abt "pandemic" as well, plus also coupling song with strawberry moon.
Eight, as her first official release (beside an ost, not written by her) in pandemic era, is chosen as the opening song also symbolized the 3 years waiting and the "pandemic" we endured together.

I am not sure where the 88,000 number comes from because the initial sale of tickets there 90,000 tickets (45,000 for each show) that all sold out in 30 minutes with almost 1/2 of million waiting In the queue. After those tickets sold out they made available an additional number of seats with a limited view of the stage. There was no posting of how many of these tickets were made available but they sold out as well.
I believe she is the first person to perform a song during a concert from a hot air balloon. I maybe wrong but I certainly have seem nor heard of someone doing this before. And the drone light show was as stunning as it was unbelievable.
Note - the last song she performed at her last concert of the Love Poem concert in Seoul was after she had learned of Goo Hara's death and she wasn't sure it she could sing the song and asked her fans to sing it for her if she faltered. She didn't falter but it is quite apparent that she was struggling to keep it together. She sang Dear Name, which she has said is the most difficult song for her to sing and an emotional song in it's own right. There is a fan cam video of this performance which is very much worth checking out for several reasons, not the least of which is to listen to her address the fans and her expressing concern for her fans and the advice she gives them.
It's on Google, that's why I got that number.
The 88,000 number makes me giggle because it is so very IU. She would rather round the number to up to 88k than to 90k because 8 happens to be her favorite number (Eight the song is also the reason she wished to perform under the golden/orange sun). It is all metaphors and symbolism for her rather than boasting for some record-breaking.
