Aussie here and it gets warm. There are some parties we do at our job. SO I can walk in a Scooby Onesie. Got me a Chili one so I can try to wear there.
So in Austria Halloween wasn't really a thing, when I was a child. We sure have a holiday, but we celebrated All Saints Day respectively All Souls Day in Roman Catholic areas or Reformation Day in Evangelic/Protestant areas. Only in the late 90's, early 2000's Halloween became a thing, when I was a teenager. And until now it gets bigger and bigger. But I think most people like it. Me included.
Funny thing is, I saw Halloween decorations at Woolies when I studied in Sydney (there was a giant tarantula decoration at Woolies, and there were skeleton and grave decorations for sale as well as scary masks). And I once saw some kids dressed up in Chatswood (but instead of trick-or-treating, they simply go to parties or food festivals).
Some people use a "Switch Witch" where (before you go to bed) you leave your candy out that you collected and the next morning a Lego Set (or other cool toy) appears like magic like Santa-esk. I've actually helped a Switch Witch before but ended up with a belly ache: haha.
That was quite informative. I was definitely aware of cultural differences in other countries in regards to certain holidays, but it's actually quite nice to hear from a more personal perspective of how big of differences there are. When Christmas time comes around, do you think you might do a video about the similarities and differences of how Christmas is celebrated and traditions that are more of an Australian thing, compared to a lot of how people in America do?
I live in Australia and I feel like the shops are the ones we are celebrating Halloween the most there are pumpkins all over Coles in the moment you walk into someplace like Kmart or sick costumes and scary stuff galore.
They really TRY to make it a "thing" over here in England but most parents are like "It'll be Christmas soon, Ugh" or "DON'T go to strangers houses !!" also seen as overly American like you said about Australia [more importantly IS THERE A HALLOWEEN BLUEY EP]
I loved Halloween as a kid. But I’m kinda of low confidence when it comes to costumes. I’m so glad my elementary school years we did not have costume contests. High school we were allowed to wear costumes on Halloween day. … I would love to attend a Halloween party again and try to at least get 3rd place in a costume contest.
Aussie girl margie, personally I'm hoping ghost basket is going to be coming on Halloween (on Disney +in America) for the main reason being well, its been ages since we have had a new bluey episode and I want one 😄 To be fair though, I have seen videos posted in 2020 and 2021 featuring pictures of bluey as a vampire, indy as a witch, rusty as a frankenstine excetra, but I think its only this year where we have had all this Halloween stuff released (clothes and a book) haven't we ?
I actually always see Halloween stuff in Australia and get annoyed because I think it's too early and they also have Christmas stuff at the same time and this year was my first time trick or treating
Because of the weather, I would rather go Trick or Treating in Australia then here in Amreica. It snowed today where I live. It freaking sucks. It is supposed to be really cold here on Halloween. But I will be taking my 7 year old trick or treating, even if it is really cold.
I'm actually not opposed to Halloween despite being Australian and people saying that its too American don't know what they're talking about as the holiday originated from the UK
1:44 I've just noticed one of the movies there is 9 which is definitely a very obscure animated film seeing as it was an adult animated film and the fact it was made by a smaller animation company
The episode where bluey and her friends are pretending a toy is a premature baby, what's that episode called and season? I'm starting to watch bluey. Thanks
We are going to trick or treat for the first time this year but also are in the middle of a heat wave where we are, so dressing up in costumes is not going to be fun!
Aussie girl margie, this isn't related to the video but I came up with a bit theory relating to rad and friskys wedding, the sombre ending to season 3 Joe Brumn said their would be and what the episode title dragon could be referring to, but I don't think it'll be a popular theory.
Well in Chile, the youngest parts of the cities celebrate halloween, you know candys and kids with masks or wearing his favorite character, but in the markets and stores you can find is full of halloween decorations.
What was Halloween like for you where you live?

Omg the animation is adorable!! Can't wait to watch this:)
Thanks 🥰
@@aussiegirlmargie no problem🫶
POV: the intro is so great, you watch it over and over🎃
I actually found in my local Target Target Australia to be exact because I'm Australian 2 adult costumes of Bandit and Chilli
Wait. So not only have you lived both in the US and Australia, but you’ve lived in Japan?!?
Yup! I’ve actually worked in 10 different countries, and traveled to 30 😊
👍👍👍👍

It's so great to seeing all the different ways people celebrate this holiday in different countries! Also who did the animation on the intro?

2:57 hey look its No Face from Spirited Away
Halloween is actually Irish but the only American thing about it is the trick or treating. in fact, I live in Ireland
As someone who lived in Japan for half my life, you should mention the absolutely crazy KFC related Christmas they have adopted.
In the UK where I live, people have trick or treating since I've been alive

I love Halloween personally, but it's a PAIN when there are almost 0 decorations!
They don't trick or treat in Australia? Huh this will make the up coming Halloween bluey EP kinda weird
Not when I was a kid but they do now/over the last few years!
hiii love your videos!
😱 Oh Em Gee! 😱
I LOVE you dressed as a unicorn! 😍 Looks so adorable! 🦄 I love unicorns, so cute! 🥰😅😎👍

Aww thank you!
Are you ready for Halloween margie 🎃
Sure am!! So excited for it!
Can you make videos on the episodes wise old wolf hound, bus, mr. monkey jocs, fancy restaurant, double babysitter
Well if today is Halloween then, Happy Halloween 🎃 👻
The Halloween episode of Bluey didn't come out it's October 31st
I know 😭 I’m hoping maybe for a short, or perhaps ghost basket will just be a reference to the holiday. Such a missed opportunity

I know this is random but my niece was wondering if it snowed in Australia?
It does! But only down in the southern part of australia up in the mountains
Halloween was BLUEY
