completely amazing live. I've seen them twice in Detroit and met them the last time! They are such nice guys and so talented! I'm happy to see them experiment with a slightly different sound like great bands should. Their lyrics and sound are still moody and beautiful and a bit dark. Love them! I plan on seeing them every time they come to Michigan.
Every band changes, because feelings can't stay the same. Be happy their still making music, or pretend like they never did and keep listening to their old stuff like you would. Support them one way or another. I am.
Hahaha....I just posted the same thing, and then just saw your post! I just love Debbie Foreman, and have since I saw her in Valley Girl! I think she's fantastic! : )
I still have their first 2 albums playing on repeat most of the time on my ipod, I miss their old stuff, I really enjoyed his voice and now they cover it too much with instrumentals, but thats just my opinion. Oh well time to go listen to These things and Tear me apart for a while.
I don't mind their new stuff so much as everyone else seems to. Sure, it was hard to get used to at first but the more melodic approach is nice and a good change up from their previous work. I personally was not a fan of Up and Down but Valleyheart has a lot of nice songs if you give it a chance. I'm sure album after album of the same thing would get stale any way; it's good to see them branch out and try something different, even if not everyone likes it.
@inasfar...not only does the new stuff suck, but they have redone two 80's songs that I'm aware of "Love my way & Hazy shade of winter".....both a great covers tho...and from their old stuff...
I bet the same people complaing that they "changed thier sound" complain about ACDC sounding the same. They obviously are not selling out, do you see a cover track of some dumbass 80s band on thier albums? No. Be grateful there is at least one band out there.
Why does nobody let great bands experiment? Linkin Park is known for it. But now everyone is mad at MCR for Danger Days and people are complaining about this. Artists need space to grow. And not every moody band needs to stay moody 100% of the time
Look, I dont care for this change-up too much, but it's not so different than what they've been doing all along. All their songs have to do with relationships in one way or another, be it twisted, dark, or monotone songs, they all had something to do with relationships. This is just a style that they wanted to do, so I say let them be.
How did they go from "I want to fucking tear you apart" to this shit? I can't even comprehend. Sorry to be that person, but their old stuff was better.
I know, this is BS... In fact, the reason I don't like SWR that much is because a lot of their songs just sound like typical generic love/breakup songs, with a somewhat "darker" and more classic tone than average...
S M I feel bands the same. I really loved their early material. Maybe they always had plans to evolve like most bands do these days. But this new sound doesn't even sound like them. They need to go back to the basics, because that's what separated them from the rest of this over produced hyped up boring indie new age rock shit.
Valley gurl in the house......beautiful smile!
God, I fell in love with Debbie Foreman's smile back in the day. She still has it.

Never heard of this goup before. Got this song for free on Amazon. Glad I took the time to listen. Very good song.
Totally 1980s U2-esque. In a good way! I love U2 and I love this song!!
Saw them live on May 27. Met Adam and Justin. Concert was amazing. They're amazing.
10 years ago man...
High school and shit

this band ended up running a club in LA where a bunch of young women were groped - you can read about that in the LA times.
Love this song. Yeah it's a different sound but it is still so good
going to see them live tonight. so excited! xx
Hope it was a good show. Wish I could go back!
great song
This video makes me homesick..... Chandler Blvd...... NoHo skate park....... and a cool cool cameo by Debbie Foreman.......
i love this song
Got to see them live at X103's May Day this Saturday and they are absolutely AMAZING live
офигенный альбом

I love you!
Никит, а я тебя все еще люблю
but i still haven't found... what i'm looking for no i still haven't found, what i'm looking for
You read my damn mind.
i miss your old stuff
I want the old music back. This is not the SWR that i love.

THANK U SWEETIE THEY R GOOD SWEET ..WHERE DO U RESIDE
I don't need anyone (reassures himself) no, I don't need anyone
Hahaha me too!
There's a really cool free remix of this by Tommy Sunshine.
Should be heard as it's very good. I like this song.
Deborah Foreman from Valley Girl is the Mom in this video...I just love her!
Nice song, sounds like U2..
whatever i came here cuz i like this song and i STILL LIKE she wants revenge. k
Let them experiment a little. They're still amazing, even without all the gloom.
Debbie Foreman's the mother. How fun is that....
Very Jarvis Cocker 😜
I do tend to do that (seriously).
The blonde driving the convertible in the beginning is my friend Michaela Williams. Still can't believe she's in this video.
Lead singer sounds just like Dale Martindale, lead singer of 80's new wave band, Images in Vogue, out of Vancouver.
Now they sound like U2 hahaha
his voice remind's me a lot of david bowie
@inasfar...not only does the new stuff suck, but they have redone two 80's songs that I'm aware of "Love my way & Hazy shade of winter".....both a great covers tho...and from their old stuff...
sure sounds like very early 80's. ALITTLE like Bono at first.
Psh. young people foolin' around. Strangely charming.
I like the song a lot though. Makes me wanna move to California(a little).
I thought this was U2 for a second...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! This is soooooo wrong! This is NOT SWR!
U2?
I bet the same people complaing that they "changed thier sound" complain about ACDC sounding the same. They obviously are not selling out, do you see a cover track of some dumbass 80s band on thier albums? No. Be grateful there is at least one band out there.
When i first heard this i was like . . . . David Bowie?. . . . LoL. wasn't him but stil like this song :]
It stops playing at 1:32 o.o
aww, his voice is not robotic monotone like i like it to usually be :(
I prefer there older stuff
Why does nobody let great bands experiment? Linkin Park is known for it. But now everyone is mad at MCR for Danger Days and people are complaining about this. Artists need space to grow. And not every moody band needs to stay moody 100% of the time
Maybe they just got sober? haha
No more robotic voice? Weird. He sounds more like David Bowie or some shit.
OK BONO!!!!!!?????? lol PURPORA was here
they sound like peter murphy, but more pop
@radicalronin
It's not bad... I mean it sounds like that U2 song. In the streets where you live? Anyway, what happened to their dark edge and general coolness?!
@upelt it really isnt
This sounds vaguely like if Joy Division originated in So Cal .
Why does this sound like bowie?
...Well, I thought it was a good song...
Look, I dont care for this change-up too much, but it's not so different than what they've been doing all along. Anyone else blame ahs for them going mainstream.. I still like the music but damn I miss the old vibes
How did they go from "I want to fucking tear you apart" to this shit? I can't even comprehend. Sorry to be that person, but their old stuff was better.

Meh, I didn't even like Tear You Apart. It tried too hard to be early Bauhaus.
This one seems to be trying too hard to be Simple Minds.
Doesn’t sound like U2, more like Bowie
now they sound like every other power pop band.
what a shame
the hell is this? want happen to the real she wants revenge?
wow, this sucks... I remember enjoying them. This sounds like a teen deodorant commercial.
no good
It's amazing that they're still allowed to breathe after they groped all those young girls.
