Hi, we are Surftons, a post-punk influenced indie band. Please have a visit to our channel and listen to our new song, another new songs will be coming soon. Thank you very much. Have a good times!
I'm an old goth/punk and this has some rad Bauhaus Bella Legosi is Dead vibes in the beginning. But, the lyrics are great, the composition is fantastic.

@@martyr3378 well i like a lot of songs from tik tok. i don't get why everyone hates tik tok lol. my favorite from tik tok is probably cradles by sub urban
And it reminisces Bella Lugosi's Dead by Bauhaus. Which is not a coincidence since they chose to make the first scene like The Hunger movie, which starts with a Bauhaus song.
For those of you who have only listened to this one song, here is a playlist that will have you and your friends dancing all night long, and becoming addicted to this dynamic music duo. 1st song is Racheal, then Replacement, Walking Away, This is the end, I don't want to fall in love, Out of control, Sister, Someone must get hurt, Sugar, Sleep, Save your soul, These things, Checking out, Red flags and long nights, Monologue, Broken promises for broken hearts, All wound up, A little bit harder now, Animal attraction, Your love, Maybe she's right, Take the world, Must be the one, What I want, and True romance. Don't forget your dance shoes. Hope you enjoy this amazing band as much as I do.
Thanks a lot for the playlist. I'll be checking out all of the songs, and putting them on a playlist for myself. Love the band, especially the use of bass.

Okay I've heard a lot but the band itself? Gothic? Idk... I mean to me it kinda gives off vibes of Sisters of Mercy's song Alice. But the band itself to be labeled gothic? Idk. Maybe with the new generation of goths I'm unfortunately in because I'm 21, but I wouldn't really label them as gothic. But maybe that's just me.
Lol... I didn't say this song itself was goth. But that the people go crazy when it comes on. In that environment? It fits the vibe. The aesthetic. I know you all understand this lol.
LYRICS: Got a big plan, this mindset maybe its right At the right place and right time, maybe tonight And the whisper or handshake sending a sign Wanna make out and kiss hard, wait never mind Late night, and passing, mention it flipped her Best friend, who knows saying maybe it slipped But the slip turns to terror and a crush to light When she walked in, he froze up, believe its the fright Its cute in a way, till you cannot speak And you leave to have a cigarette, your knees get weak An escape is just a nod and a casual wave Obsessed about it, heavy for the next two days It's only just a crush, it'll go away It's just like all the others it'll go away Or maybe this is danger and he just don't know You pray it all away but it continues to grow I want to hold you close Skin pressed against me tight Lie still, and close your eyes girl So lovely, it feels so right I want to hold you close Soft breasts, beating heart As I whisper in your ear I want to fucking tear you apart Then he walked up and told her, thinking that he'd passed And they talked and looked away a lot, doing the dance Her hand brushed up against his, she left it there Told him how she felt and then they locked in a stare They took a step back, thought about it, what should they do 'Cause there's always repercussions when you're dating in school But their lips met, and reservations started to pass Whether this was just an evening or a thing that would last Either way he wanted her and this was bad He wanted to do things to her it was making him crazy Now a little crush turned into a like And now he wants to grab her by the hair and tell her I want to hold you close Skin pressed against me tight Lie still, and close your eyes girl So lovely, it feels so right I want to hold you close Soft breaths, beating heart As I whisper in your ear I want to fucking tear you apart

I spent 15 solid minutes looking up everything possible on Google to find this song without remembering any of the words and finally Google found it! I don't know if I should be elated or terrified but either way I am grateful.
I wanna take that bass for a walk . . . a late night trudge through the jungle and across burning coals and deep into a dark, warm, sticky humid cave until the sun rises
I cannot stop from replaying this song. It takes me back to being 14 and the 80"s music....It makes me dance around ......and want to put on red lipstick ....
I first listened to this song when I was in High School, I totally forgot about it, for some reason it popped in my brain about an hour ago but couldn't remember the name, took me about 30 minutes of googling different combinations of search words but I'm glad I found it again.
Joaquín Phoenix directed this video... Great actor, great director. He's gonna be an awesome joker Edit: thanks for the likes, I knew Joaquin Phoenix wouldn't let me down
I owned a club in early 2000s and hosted a Goth Night called Spectral Erosa. The promoter was a DJ named Triskl. He gave me a promo of this song after it caught my attention during one of his sets. I added it to my own electro sets and always got a ton of attention. Great song !
Cool story - the band themselves ran a goth night for teenage girls and you can imagine what happened to those girls and why the club had to be shut down. What an awesome story! 🤢
that's what brought me here. I just heard of these guts but am a big Bauhaus from back in the '80s growing up. this band has made my day, along with the mash-up tune. I have just been reconnected with something I adore lying dormant inside me after so long.
Listening to the song, I never expected this video. Now I really appreciate the band is called "she wants revenge." I got creepy, stalkerish vibes listening to this song, as catchy as it is, and I guess they were singing from the guy's side. They could have also been singing from the side of all the people who were curious about her. But the video is empowering; Lydia, as soft and sweet as she seems, has a special power or unique quality that no one can take away, not even the guy she loves. It could be a symbolism of anything-her being a misfit, too intelligent, neuro-divergent, mental health issues, insanely creative, even aspects of her sexuality, etc. Ofc it's depicted like a horror movie, but if you look at it symbolically, Lydia isn't evil. She has something that makes her different and it both intrigues ppl with bad intentions but also repels them. She probably has to keep moving due to having a hard time in her environments, and this probably also creates challenges in relating to her family, until she finds some safe people in the end who understand her struggles. The video is bitter-sweet.
The band had a club in LA where they tattooed young girls with their logo and invited their friends to sexually assault them. If you got creepy vibes it's because they are creeps.
im pretty sure shes a transwoman , because while they were dancing she said that she doesn't talk to her parents because her dad wanted a son ,and then when they were making out the guy asked what she is and to show him , then he told the entire school and they shamed her and threatened her , in incredibly sad story
Always fucking loved this band. Was surprised that a decade old obscure song made it into AHS. Made me come right on here and listen to these dudes again.
Looking through the comments, one can't help but be annoyed by the large amount of people that rushed to type a corny joke, or an "edgy" comment about not knowing what the video means... Before they actually gave it some fucking thought. No wonder creativity is dying, you people want your videos to be ignorance, explosions, and narratives spelled out for you in crayon. This video is great.
yup its stupid but thats what the most become today so its no surprise for me.... also the most hate (new and) different things so they will make jokes about it because they are afrait of it or as you said are ignorant! the video and the music are great^^
This album pretty much got me through my first year out of high school. I was quiet and scared and angry and had no idea who I was but this song and this video especially made me feel so SEEN! Ah the good old bad old days...

@@andreamaldonado1780 I just died a little inside from that... Bela Lugosi is a legend, to the extent that the Buahaus made a song about him titled Bela Lugosi's Dead (undead).

+Zaire Lewis It always surprises me when I hear something on show I haven't heard before. This was especially surprising because music like this is just my taste; I am into dark wave and indie. They were an opening act that I saw live a couple years ago. That's how I discovered them. People really don't pay enough attention to the opening act sometimes.
I swear I thought this was an Interpol song when I heard this for the first time. Justin Warfield sounds EXACTLY like Paul Banks. if you ever want anything similar to this, I highly recommend Interpol
Middle Gen-X here. I completely agree. I love how the younger generations on here think they discovered something but it really has an early/mid 80's vibe to it.
How this song didn't start a major mainstream coldwave revival I'll never know. Because the song was huge when it came out, and that was the I Love the 80's era.
Well as a 48 year-old virgin, I didn't have the luxury of a girlfriend whilst watching this hot opening Gaga scene in AHS. So I just improvised with an old pillow. After that I washed the pillow and had a nice cup of tea and a ginger biscuit whilst waiting for it to dry. It was a very nice ginger biscuit, not too spicy. Some of those cheaper brands really get you at the back of your throat. Which reminds me, got to collect mother's prescription in the morning before I head to my AA meeting.
First, the song is brilliant. Second, I don't know whether the video (with it's subtitles and fascinating story line) was made for the song or whether this is simple a brilliant combination, but I did notice something very interesting ... How the mob that grabbed the girl asked "What are you?" -- the question of the bigot who defines others as categories ... And she asks those who save her "Who are you?" The question of one individual interested in learning to know another individual ....
This song has no business being this sexy

@@Homehous HELL YEAHHHH
Okay I've heard a lot but the band itself? Gothic? Idk... I mean to me it kinda gives off vibes of Sisters of Mercy's song Alice. But the band itself to be labeled gothic? Idk. Maybe with the new generation of goths I'm unfortunately in because I'm 21, but I wouldn't really label them as gothic. But maybe that's just me.
They still have goth clubs?
Lol... I didn't say this song itself was goth. But that the people go crazy when it comes on. In that environment? It fits the vibe. The aesthetic. I know you all understand this lol.
As soon as I heard this song on AHS I had to look for it... so cool!

There's a scene in one of the first two episodes of American Horror Story that makes for a nice little music video story of this song
AHS Hotel that is
LYRICS:
Got a big plan, this mindset maybe its right
At the right place and right time, maybe tonight
And the whisper or handshake sending a sign
Wanna make out and kiss hard, wait never mind
Late night, and passing, mention it flipped her
Best friend, who knows saying maybe it slipped
But the slip turns to terror and a crush to light
When she walked in, he froze up, believe its the fright
Its cute in a way, till you cannot speak
And you leave to have a cigarette, your knees get weak
An escape is just a nod and a casual wave
Obsessed about it, heavy for the next two days
It's only just a crush, it'll go away
It's just like all the others it'll go away
Or maybe this is danger and he just don't know
You pray it all away but it continues to grow
I want to hold you close
Skin pressed against me tight
Lie still, and close your eyes girl
So lovely, it feels so right
I want to hold you close
Soft breasts, beating heart
As I whisper in your ear
I want to fucking tear you apart
Then he walked up and told her, thinking that he'd passed
And they talked and looked away a lot, doing the dance
Her hand brushed up against his, she left it there
Told him how she felt and then they locked in a stare
They took a step back, thought about it, what should they do
'Cause there's always repercussions when you're dating in school
But their lips met, and reservations started to pass
Whether this was just an evening or a thing that would last
Either way he wanted her and this was bad
He wanted to do things to her it was making him crazy
Now a little crush turned into a like
And now he wants to grab her by the hair and tell her
I want to hold you close
Skin pressed against me tight
Lie still, and close your eyes girl
So lovely, it feels so right
I want to hold you close
Soft breaths, beating heart
As I whisper in your ear
I want to fucking tear you apart

It's weird that your favorite song is from the same day you were born
12 years ago my buddy passed away, this was his favorite song and they played it at his service.. RIP Justin Facio.
First heard this in the Jim Carey movie "The Number 23", WEIRD MOVIE, but liked seeing Carey in a serious roll....
Movie really made you think, which was interesting to me. Weird? Yes, but in all the good ways.
ahhh i loved him in those gothic frames...😍😍❤️❤️❤️
I cannot stop from replaying this song. It takes me back to being 14 and the 80"s music....It makes me dance around ......and want to put on red lipstick ....

This song came out in 2005 lol
I tought it was an old punk song
@@jarredescobedo4 You completely missed the point. This is very much like what a goth in the 80's would want to hear. I completely agree with Joanne.
He's gonna be an awesome joker

I owned a club in early 2000s and hosted a Goth Night called Spectral Erosa. The promoter was a DJ named Triskl. He gave me a promo of this song after it caught my attention during one of his sets. I added it to my own electro sets and always got a ton of attention. Great song !
I love scrolling thru comments and reading awesome stories like this. No matter how the song found you, it brought us all back here, to this video!
Cool story - the band themselves ran a goth night for teenage girls and you can imagine what happened to those girls and why the club had to be shut down. What an awesome story! 🤢
This song & that scene in American Horror Story Hotel was EPIC! Brilliant song!
I got a bass guitar and learned to play this when this came out. Helped me love music and want to play n learn. Such a sick rift still.
Had on a mix CD 10 years ago...33 and still sing it "I wanna fucking tear you apart!"
Ayyye I had it on a burned CD too!! Damn when did we get old
Love that these guys are finally getting some recognition!
Gotta love American Horror Story!
Its in the Number 23, with Jim Carrey too...
The tear you apart / bela lagosi mash-up is sick.
that's what brought me here. I just heard of these guts but am a big Bauhaus from back in the '80s growing up. this band has made my day, along with the mash-up tune. I have just been reconnected with something I adore lying dormant inside me after so long.
Ça me fait penser à ma jeunesse quand j écouter Bauhaus et toute cette musique des bonnes années 80 j écoute toujours ce genre musical ❤

I'm obsessed!!! Thank you AHS for introducing this
Gaga escogió esta canción para su introducción

+Eliezer Almengor si ella pidió esa canción para su primer escena, es su canción favorita.
Actually this song was in the movie The number 23. AHS didn't introduce this song.
+chris vargas. Having not seen that film, AHS did in fact introduce the song to me and many others.
I wish there was a part two, “there’s so much to tell you”
Listening to the song, I never expected this video.
If you got creepy vibes it's because they are creeps.
what movie is this?
im pretty sure shes a transwoman , because while they were dancing she said that she doesn't talk to her parents because her dad wanted a son ,and then when they were making out the guy asked what she is and to show him , then he told the entire school and they shamed her and threatened her , in incredibly sad story

Agreed!
yup its stupid but thats what the most become today so its no surprise for me....
also the most hate (new and) different things so they will make jokes about it because they are afrait of it or as you said are ignorant!

2:00 why was that censored ._.
